You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire.  They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend.  The criticism is distasteful and unjustified.  What do you do?
It's just a matter of temper, but in my case, i will defend my close friend to those bastards who shit talk against her and i will tell them how good my friend is.

You didn't read the OP...

You respect and admire these three people - you don't consider them bastards.

What would you do?

I just keep quiet and never tell the other party what they said. It's a matter of trust and friendship between your friends. However, if they criticize or belittle your friend that is way below the belt inform your friend of all the things your other friends told you. It is not right to belittle people behind their backs.
