I recently saw a CEX actively recruiting Elite UK Traders. Does anyone care to shed some light on that? It sorta looks fun and engaging to me, like something I would want to try out
Can you name what CEX it is?
One reason could be the marketing strategy why would they do that, they're looking to attract traders who can bring liquidity and contribute to the exchange's trading volumes if CEX is new to the trading business.

It could be they offer copy trading for the elite traders so that they can stand out among other traders.
Just try out if you want to, but make it sure the find you will use is the amount that you can afford to use.

This is just a marketing ploy to make their investors feel special.  This is more on a psychological approach or possibly people who have a high profile of investments.  I am sure they have some qualification on this but without @OP's link, we cannot know what it is.

Elite traders and crypto do not mix.  More than a lot of times winning traders are lucky they landed into a pump or something before it shot up put of pure luck.im not saying there aren't methods amd there are some things to sway a better or worse trader but the term elite trader is a joke.
i somehow agree with this saying, is there really elite traders thats deserving of the names though? because from my experience trying these copy trading most of the traders are seemingly just relying on pure luck.
but I guess having insiders info and bigger capital than average joe automatically includes someone into the category of elite trader.

but speaking from my experience, even the most veteran retailer trader there is are always having dependent on luck somehow that sometimes I think this makes technical analysis somehow irrelevant.
there's saying that if you can use technical analysis, then the whales are the ones that gonna use this technique exactly to counter your future decision. but regardless technical analysis is still important in some ways.

the CEX probably is looking for traders that has a huge funding, actually that comes in my mind when someone is looking for "elite" investors or traders.

I somehow disagree because trading principles are the same across the platform.  There might be some differences on the conditions of markets but the principle of trading is the same, IMO.

Hearing the name of what they're looking for, I have no idea if you should be going along with them. If you wanna engage and you think that you're a trader that's what they're looking for then go for it. But if you're a profitable trader, why there's a need to go along with these offers if you can grow on your own and do it alone? It does sounds interesting and you could make a lot of money from them if there's a prize and reward but in a sense that you're a good trader, just make yourself profitable from it.

I trade too, but at what point can I say i'm an elite trader? I am not from the UK, yeah! I'm just curious because an opportunity as this could come to my region someday. what are the requirements to become an elite trader. Do I need a specific trading background or some lengthy years of experience in trading or certain number of followers?

I think they are referring to copy trading. which is fun because you can follow any trader and replicate their trading strategy.

Can you put out some sources for this? Which cex, and why would they do that? To hire inside market making trades? Im not sure why would they do that, maybe for testing purposes its okay but why would a centralized platform would do that for other reason?

If this in UK then not sure which one operating on that area.
