I would invest in a gambling website.

Investing like in real life , just depositing money there and getting a piece of the cut or just playing casino?
I hope its not the second part of the question ,otherwise you are all f up. Shocked

By 'invest' they mean to buy an ownership stake in a gambling website, and 'be the house.'

Now, I don't know whether that is more or less risky than just playing online slots. I guess it depends on whether you know what you are doing - i.e. how to manage an online gambling site, etc. If you are not bringing anything to the investment table other than capital, then I'll bet your odds are better playing slots.

I am guessing they mean investin in the bankroll of a site, and then get a cut every month or so

I hope that is what people mean when they invest in the site
Otherwise that would explain a lot of gambling bankruptcies.
That said finding a reliable bankroll can be the challenge as a few sites have defaulted historically.

Investing in the bankroll of a gambling site is not just betting on the house, you are also betting on the site's security and bugs. If I have a bitcoin, I would keep it safe in my wallet.

Ad maiora!
The only good advice you will get on these boards is this; don't take any advice given on these boards.
Gambling sites are as risky as anything else, probably more so depending on their jurisdiction and adherence to international laws. The liscencing is either prohibitively difficult/expensive or ignored all together.
There are stories about "the one" that turned a profit, but every ponzi that ever was has stories of high yields in the beginning.
To answer your question, there are different ways to invest in gambling sites, depending how they've structured thier offering. You might be best off just playing the dice.
Proceed with caution

What you guys call "an investment in a gambling website"?

Gamble: "To play at any game of chance for stakes. To stake or risk money, or anything of value, on the outcome of something involving chance."

Invest: "To put money to use, by purchase or expenditure, in something offering profitable returns."

Both are different do not combine both

the reason why bitcoin work well with full gambling website, is because you don't have to compile a long paper with your personal info, residence ecc, if you do it regularly with fiat, you need all those stuff and send them to your local autorithy like the ANSA

with bitcoin you just send fund and you're done, no one will check what you are doing, no one will care, it's only you and your money

There are just too many unregulated gambling sites for this to be a option. The risks include:
1. Site can be closed down by the authorities.
2. Site can be hacked.
3. Site operator can run with the money.
4. Someone might find a weak spot, and clean out the payroll.
5. The site operator might cook the books.
6. A bug in the software might payout too much.

These are just some of the risk involved with investment in the payroll. The profit is good, but the risk is high.

it is also some kind of gambling, only difference is, that you are not gambling with your luck directly on site, but you are simply betting for bad luck of others..

it is extremely risky, because you are not investing to site itself, but to bankroll..anyway, it may be also profitable.

wrong board imo  Wink

but to answer your question: it's not a real investment since people are not buying shares of the site in question.

it's more "bankrolling", people pool their crpytos into the sites bankroll and get profit/losses according to their % of the bankroll, if a player loses/wins.

you can check dicesites.com from NicoNL to get an idea of the feature and the respective performance of each site.

generally spoken, while this form of "investment" can be profitable it is extremly risky and therefor not recommended.

People on here are crazy.. They probably mean the second.. No wonder 90% around here are scraping for bits Wink

I wouldn't invest in the website itself personally.. Too much risk for running as most are unlicensed anyway.
