For me 99% of ICO or bounty is a waste of time and $$$...
monitor ELICOIN in livecoinwatch for example it's not a ICO or bounty or other similar rubbish...
with research you can always pick one of hidden gems for the next bull run...obviously you can't expect a big grow in % of price in the top 10 o 50 coins...for this you must always do your own research...I don't know when the next bullrun will start but this time I want to make good profits with low marketcap coins...
there are a lot of coins with small market cap ,mining pow, no premine, limited supply, active dev...a coin similar to litecoin, vertcoin or viacoin...as I just wrote in another thread I regret I did not get bought coins like litecoin, vertcoin or viacoin when they were very very low in 2015...today before it's too late I'm continuing to buy ELICOIN mined with CPU ( so it's accessible to all ) for example...only trade it on Crex24 for now....i think it's a good "lottery ticket" to buy for 50$ or 100$ before it's too late....this is the secret....do your research...
well i disagree with you here   though it is stupid to deny the fact that there are many scammers i cannot say that thay are the majority

First things first...the glory days of 2017 are OVER! You will NOT quadruple your investment in one week like you could back in 2017. Your best bet is to invest with long term goals in mind (HODL). For instance, I choose to invest in a few new projects this year that I think have the ability to be solid future investments. If crypto enters another bull market stage like it did last year, then Ethereum, XRP, & Bitcoin should rise. However, there is no current indication that shows we are heading in this direction.

What I PERSONALLY Look For In An ICO Or New Project:

I like looking for projects that have visionaries at the helm. I want a project that has massive funding goals that are within the realm of attainability. For instance, Omnity is an ICO that has a creative solution to a real problem. Their pre-ICO funding raised 9 million dollars. Their goal is to raise 50 million dollars (hard cap goal). This is a project that wants to reshape an existing industry, but they are NOT overstepping their boundaries in this particular industry. Their competitors would be companies like Google & Firefox. They would be able to co-exist alongside these companies, because they provide value that doesn't currently exist.

XRP:

There are a lot of investors in this community that are opposed to XRP due to the fact XRP is not 100% decentralized. Even though XRP is technically an anomaly in the crypto community, it is poised for success because they are working with existing industries that would benefit from embracing their technology.

Summary:

When looking for a quality project or altcoin, you need to look for something that you can see people utilizing on a daily basis. I can see companies using Eth, Omnity, & XRP. This is why I personally like these altcoins/ICO's.

I have the same criteria like some of ones you posted, if the coin or the ICO to be successful, it has to be usage, or else it will just die down because it will just become a pump and dump coin, there are so many pump and dump coins in the market because so many of it do not have usage at all and don't deserve to be in the market.

i don't think you can call that success. because the centralized coins should be compared with their own kind and in that category i would also include digital currencies such as Paypal dollar. and when you think that way you can see how big a failure XRP is. they created a centralized digital coin that is not even capable of competing with its counterparts such as WebMoney, Perfectmoney,...

You never were able to do so with any warranty, it has always been a risky business, even in 2017 some of the coins failed spectacularly. At the moment, buying ICO is very risky and your advise is just a guideline. It is far more complex than that.

Thanks Crypto"Genius" for this shameless shill post on Ripple XRP. You forgot a lot of cryptos like Monero, EOS and Ardor that will surely do great in the short and long term.

An important aspect that one should look for is also its progress in terms of the technical details of it. Some blockchain projects are able to show a working prototype through Testnets but mainnets are much more important because of it's real-world implementation.
