Before requesting to lock this thread...

If anyone's interested - I sold all 30 in sets of 5 on eBay (and I miss them already Sad

I accepted a lowball offer on the first sale, but was able to get 119USD for the remaining sets.

LESSON LEARNED: I won't be using eBay anymore. They're charging me $45!!!! What crust.

Its really tough to judge the value of mining hardware since it is a function of Bitcoin value and hashing difficulty...formula as follows:

Mining Hardware Index = Bitcoin value / Hashing difficulty.

As the value of Bitcoin increases the value of mining hardware increases.

As the hashing difficulty increases the value of mining hardware decreases.

If someone could tie a $ per Gh/s value to this Mining Hardware Index it would make things easier.

Just my 2 cents.

Depend on what you are planing to do with them.
If you are going to try and reach ROI you will have to find them lower than 5$.
The market Price deppending on where you are located in the World is from 10-30$+shipping.

I would only pay for 1$.. don't forget you need a hub and many accessories for this to work..

thats why you havent bought any - they are worth more. the physical components to make the stick are probably $3-5

i would buy 1000 of them for that price

dont be silly

if you have some erupters to unload i will buy them
pm me a fair price (below last bulk selling price point of course)

Thanks for interest but they're selling hot on eBay. I have them listed for 119 after getting a few low offers... But the last one I sold for that price.

Do yourself a favor and lock the thread before it gets out of hand, you sold them the way it was recommended and, not only mined with them, but made ROI on investment by reselling them after so good job.

Will do,... I'll find out how I do that when I get on my PC.

I want to sell my lot for a fair price, but what might that be nowadays? Obviously I won't get my investment back, but I see them for sale ranging anywhere from .06 to .15.

Try putting higher price first, people are buying them cause btc price rise pretty much ..

That's what I did Smiley I sold 1 set of 5, I had it listed for $99, got a couple of low ball offers. So yesterday I raised price to $119, got an offer for $100, which I happily accepted. I just wish Paypal didn't hold the funds for 21 days, that part sucks Sad

Its dangerous selling on ebay and using paypal.....

Wtf? I already sold half of them! I know doing BTC transactions with PayPal is dangerous, but this is an actual product.

$3 for the hashing it can do, plus whatever value the physical device has for parts or collectible.

i would say $10 is fair

They're still in my mining pool account... that's weird. I'll look into it.

may be a 24 hour payout or maybe they have a  minimum like 1 nmc

let me find my other NMC address.

must be .001 nmc or bigger

.17 actually. I realized that I didn't save the address before rapidly clicking the payout button. Just checked and it's no longer in my pool account.

are you including instructions for how to mine with them in the delivery?

Darn it... was I supposed to?

I don't think so, it should be fairly easy to find instruction online...

you can always answer them later if they ask.
some buyers do not have any idea of what they are doing some buyers do.   direct them to www.bitminter.com if they are newcomers it is pretty much the easiest pool to use.  give them a few hub picks  the dlink 7 port  is okay for 5 sticks.

Yay!

I sold a lot of 5 on eBay!!! That was quick... didn't know it would sell so quickly! I'm shipping the buyer's order first thing in the AM.

Guess I need to modify my post to say I only have 5 lots of 5 left  Grin

Whose idea was this? I don't have any BTC to spare, but I have Namecoins I mined and no wallet to send to. Post your namecoin address and I'll send you what I have in my miner's account... Hell, I'm not using it. Woot!

I put 10 up on ebay.co.uk last week at £100.  They sold within minutes.

Yeah, I'm getting a lot views. Here's hoping that they all sell. And hopefully I won't have seller's regret.

So now I'm confused... sounds like I need to wait to sell, then.

list a set of 5 on ebay for 99 usd.   If btc goes up they will sell.

I'd agree with philip. put them up at 5 lots or split them evenly into lot sizes that you have.

I want to sell my lot for a fair price, but what might that be nowadays? Obviously I won't get my investment back, but I see them for sale ranging anywhere from .06 to .15.

If you use eBay, they're going for $15ish used shipped, minus 14% for fees for eBay/PayPal = $12.50 .  That would be my asking price a price, shipped.

So I just looked on eBay, and I see 1 ad for $15 all others are more, around $20, and for $45! Are people still paying that amount?

Thanks to those who PM'd.

The price is rising due to the fact that production seized on these, and the last few are going nuts.  Before Friday I would expect to see them at over 20 on average.

this and btc has risen.  I was hard pressed to sell sets  of  5 for 52.

I sold sets of 5 for 74 yesterday.

I sold sets of 5 for 79 today.

Many people can turn a profit on a 5 stick buy for 79 for 2 reasons.

First reason----------------- 0 power cost think college dorm or place of work.

second reason------------ they are doing all calculations in usd.

third reason--------------- they hope for price rise  in btc.  this is an important reason..

the day of the silk road bust BTC was at 100  usd a coin  now it is 340 usd a coin.

so if coins move to 1020 usd  and all calculations are done in usd they need under .1 BTC  to make a profit in the eyes of usd fiat.

80 usd in 102 usd out.

I bought a few off amazon for $11.87 each + $2.99 for shipping 2 weeks ago

Thanks!

Took a looksee and used they're now going for 16.95. I can't imagine why it would, but are the prices going up or something?

I'm starting to think that I should package them with the hubs and maybe even my RasPi. I'm definitely not out to get over on anyone... but $850 for 20 with a hub? And people are actually buying these mining systems for that amount?

they are going up because price of BTC is going up. That's why only logical currency to sell miners in is bitcoin :-)

Duh! So that makes total sense! lol This is why I don't want these damn things sitting around as my constant reminder. That and the loss of 65BTC the other night doesn't help either.

So... let's say I wanted to sell as a package deal.. or maybe start an auction? I have 30 of the Sapphire miners, 5 7 port hubs (decent ones from Bestbuy), and my Raspberry Pi that has 8BG card, case, and Wi-Pi adapter. I think I might have the best luck on eBay...
