Never had any problems with Livecoin personally, but they do have a shady history from what I could find. I use them occasionally for low cap projects not listed on bigger exchanges, and again, never faced any problems with them, even got help from their support multiple times when I had questions in regards to deposit/withdrawal.
I'm more a fan of decentralized solutions such as Blocknet's DEX though. I like to trade without undergoing KYC, or compromising my own security against hackers.
I think even though Livecoin has a shady history, people still trade with them because you can find coins or tokens that you can't find for example in BNB. though I don't have any first hand experience using this exchange, but maybe it is like yobit, many are complaining on this exchange but used this exchange several times but didn't encounter any problem. so it really depends on the user whether he will try that exchange even if the reputation is not-so-good. Just remember that, you should not store your coins in any of them even if it is BNB. all of them are vulnerable to hacking or malware attacks. also, if you are in doubt, send small coins at first and do the trading, get the feel of using the exchange.
