I think some countries will release their own cryptocurrencies that will have better adoption. I believe IoT and AI will become the next big things that will be very popular in coming years, everything should be connected to the internet and automated.  Smiley I'm very interested in machine learning/AI and this is really cool and you can make a lot with it

I think it's only a matter of time before bankers start embracing the system.
Perhaps we'll see the rise of an internationally accepted centralized blockchain for fast international transactions, upon which can be speculated by the average joe but not mineable?

It doesn't look like EU and USA will illegalize bitcoin at this point, but bankers might lobby to make it so once it would take a bigger proportion of global financial systems.
