Bitcoin in primary education? Aba consider di children na. How dem want start to understand those. Me I no advise teachers to teach bitcoin for primary school oo. E no dey illegal but e no good to teach them at that time.  It it can be good from Jenior Secondary School (JSS). Op I know come dey understand you again oo; weti come bring di Yahoo Yahoo matter to weti you dey discuss about discussing bitcoin in primary education. Nawaoo.

Yes. Bringing bitcoin matter to your discussion e no bad but di way you go present am go be another thing again. Op I for want make you edit this thread again because I never really understand weti t dey try to tok for here. And bitcoin is not something wey still dey hide again and almost every family in naija knows bitcoin even though dem no dey use am so telling dem has nothing to do with you security again. You are free to introduce bitcoin to whomever need to know.

Abeg 4 a primary education, dis Bitcoin Discussion na legal or illegal?
Cuz d being on d low keys just like the Yahoo yahoo want get familiarities via my experience comparisons.

Question... If we get 2 be queried abt wetin we do 4 living, e dey normal to bring "Bitcoin Discussion In? And afta dat, we go get back u?

Commot all the formalities, we dey Nigeria and na we know how the matta be and if you haven't be harassed you no go understand the pressure wey you go dey feel at that very moment. Before using trading has always been the way out of this harassment but this days dat one no go sell again because every yahoo buy claims to be a bitcoin vendor or trader but when further investigation is been carried out, they'll later discover that he was lying as they find things that implicates him as a fraudster. Things like clients information in regards to their maga wey dem dey scam so using a trader can bring more aggression towards you and might make them beat you up.

The simplest thing to do na to tell them you be freelancer (or you work remotely online) to go further you fit tell them you're an online marketer because that's what most of us are that are enrolled in a signature campaign. This platforms dem wey they hire you make you advertise for them for the forum as you dey wear their ads so na marketing you dey do for them so you're an online marketer. Telling an authority officers that you write on a forum and get paid might sound like a lie and before you get the opportunity to explain further, slap fit dun land you for face and by that time to dey explain go just tire you. Use big worlds instead of trying to make them understand what you do, so them go give you the opportunity to explain.

Why will you be scared to tell them that you are a bitcoiner or are you not confident in what you do for a living. Abeg,if you are not confident with it,you should stop. Nowhere the matter won reach wey if investigation happen, wey you wouldn't be able to prove yourself.

There was a CBN circular last year or the year before that prohibited banks from facilitating crypto transactions on and off their platforms. Since then, Nigerian police changed the narrative that it is banned in Nigeria and anyone involved in it is going against the law. They usually arrest the citizen in question and use it as a means for extortion. I don't know if it's everywhere but around south, it's a norm.
Me and you know say before cryptocurrency start to exist,na so police dey behave. All the time them won give you wrong charge just to extort money from you. The bad ones go arrest you because them no say poor man no dey into crypto, and say you go fit bail yourself. Those police wey catch you no go fit carry you go court because them no say crypto no dey illegal but na money them want. Already we know how Nigeria police dey commit atrocities just go get money for the street.

What if the person lied and is investigated and noticed he is into cryptocurrencies?

There has been police brutality even before CBN banned bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Your look and how you interact with police also matters. At least, I have never been arrested before.

Some people too are actually making their money illegally online and using cryptocurrencies to mask it. Some people also uses other businesses to mask it.

That’s where the main problem lies. People involve in illegal means of earning and cover it up with bitcoin when they’re asked what they’re into. For example, no any yahoo boy will tell you he’s one, what they usually say is that they’re bitcoin traders. When police found out that this is where they mask and cover their illegal means of earning with, they termed anyone into cryptocurrency as a Yahoo boy.

After CBN shared that circular to banks not to trade cryptocurrencies, the police still use that as an advantage to clamp on those legally into crypto. They believe all crypto traders are wealthy, so they easily extort them when they find one. Although, your look and how you dress also matters when you’re caught and want to be investigated by them, it is also good to dress responsibly. I just hope and pray things get better soon for the people.

Bitcoin is not banned in Nigeria.

You mean if you were asked what you do for a living, like in court or by police man, that can you say bitcoin? If truly that is what you do for a living, I see no reason of hiding it when it is necessary to tell them and prove that what you are saying is correct if investigated.

Me I no see any reason wey person wey de into bitcoin, as a means of lively hood go fear, if di authority de investigate im source of income. Na just to show dem proof say na bitcoin you de trade or invest, so far say cryptocurrency no de banned for Nigeria, no wahala for you. As for dis bitcointalk forum, as far as I de concerned, na where people of like minds de come interact for di matter of shared interest, wey be mainly about bitcoin and crypto related topics.

My broda,I no see any connections wey Bitcoin discussion get with yahoo yahoo. d only problem be say our people dem lack understanding. once you mention Bitcoin give Dem, Dem go say na scam or yahoo dis one na because our youths don turn d whole thing up side down.

Normal, if person ask you watin  you dey do for a living and you just tell Dem say you dey into Bitcoin, d first reaction go be Like omo Aza man and which is not true. if person get Bitcoin no means say na aza man. Bitcoin fit be your side hustle, but if person ask you watin you dey do just tell them Abt work wey you dey into first leave Bitcoin maybe later, if una don dey talk go far Dem you fit tell  Dem say you still dey do Bitcoin.
