If we talk about miners, they all need to be serviced quite the same, but i would recommend Kaspa miners, VERY RELIALE MINERS!
These miners are very expensive and you have no guarantee of payback. On this coin, there seems to be a competition between ASIC manufacturers, and the most modern ASIC model now, in a few months, will not be the same. And most new ASICs cannot be installed in ordinary residential premises without upgrading the electrical wiring.

at home I only have a mining rig using it for Ethereum Classic + Zillica dual mining
It is not rational to use video cards for ethash/etchash. They are inferior in everything even to quiet home ASICs.

That is what I have available so I am just using it.I know the great efficiency of those home miners with less than 200 watt consumption and a great amount of hash rate for such consumption yet is against the law to buy them where I reside now.The law is very unspecific but with a great emphasis in being against crypto so I refrain from buying and use what I have.
It is very bad when the law prohibits mining or trading in cryptocurrency. In my country, mining at home is also prohibited, but this does not stop anyone, because it is very difficult to detect home mining if the mining uses little equipment. But it is impossible to check all apartments and private houses.

In here they have put some technical persons who are electricians to check the power consumption of each house and if they see a huge spike in consumption they raise doubts and can also escalate to a house search.Me with some friends though when we had 2 big rigs as the one I have at my house is 200w power so it does not raise any doubts, with those big rigs we kept them to the tarrace of a friend house and they could not be spot,we managed them from distance  Grin.
In Russia, too, there are technical specialists in energy companies, but they cannot search houses. To search a house, power engineers need permission from a prosecutor or judge, and the search is carried out by police officers in the presence of witnesses. Or do power engineers in your country have the same power as judges, prosecutors and police?

No no,where I live now it was more than 45 years just like Russia, run by the worse butcher of all Europe who imprisoned and killed more than 25% of his own population, just like Putin Russia nowadays. These engineers need a prosecutor order and once they get that they can clearly abuse as they are allowed to control every little thing in the house of course with witnesses but they will find something or put something and pretend like it was in the house and make a real mess out of it so it is really paramount we don't get to that point in first place  Grin.
In Russia, a prosecutor or judge will not give permission to search a house on suspicion of mining if there is no illegal connection.
According to the new rules of Russia, meters for a private house are located on a pole in a place accessible to the controller on the street, so that the controller can see the instrument readings and not disturb the owner. The police come when energy company specialists find an illegal connection or there is very high consumption that does not correspond to the design of the facility.

On the one hand, I like quiet home ASICs, but on the other hand, these ASICs now have a payback period of almost 2 years.
I've been looking at the Jasminer X16-Q ASIC for a long time and I like its hashrate and power consumption. But next year new, more interesting models may appear.

Nothing is easy to mine these days in the term that they don't give you any profit.Personally I mine only Raptoreum with some of my work PC-s and at home I only have a mining rig using it for Ethereum Classic + Zillica dual mining.I have read many threads here and saw that the suggestions here are about new coins while I prefer to keep solid ones with a huge background and a group supporting them rather than going to invest my time in trying these new coins.

If it is just a hobby project, anyone can experiment with their devices,if anyone is planning on being in profit when the time comes (Bitcoin new ATH) then it would be wise to start now if they haven't already to mine whatever coin they can with their devices that has a future.
Dual mining Ethereum Classic + Zillica is no longer profitable on many video cards, even at 5 cents per kilowatt of electricity. I'm now mining Gram and I have a profit of 50-60 cents from 1 RTX 2070 video card.
There are a lot of ASICs for the ETHASH algorithm

KASPA KASPA AND KASPA AGAIN!
I shared news about the new ASIC
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/new-asic-for-aspa-mining-5484399
ASIC is expensive, and the risks are high, but the profit of this ASIC is much higher than Bitcoin ASICs. First you wait for delivery, then you wait nervously for six months for payback. If you have strong nerves, then mining is yours. A noisebox for ASIC will allow you to mine even in a quiet room.

Hi community,

what are you mining in 2024?
You have some recommendations for something ''easy'' ?

I think now I can tell you a little experience about how you can earn money even on such days.
I learned about mining the gram coin recently and set up a mining farm on hiveos
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5483750
This coin had 4 givers, and mining was in solo mode.
Givers were for 100,000 coins, 10,000 coins for 1000 and 100.

My mining farm was mining 2 blocks per day and I received 2000 gram coins. Net profit is 22 dollars per day from one mining farm and the mining farm has very low power consumption of 400 watts per hour.

If I had studied this coin earlier, I would have mined blocks of 100,000 and 10,000 coins, but now they are over.

Damn bloggers talked about this and now the Hive OS web interface is not working, the Hive OS website has been unavailable for settings for 24 hours.
If you know how to mine in Linux, then you will have a good profit for another week.
