I am little curious now how that bitcoin is falled this much?
it rides massively and didn't looked that it will fall like that, its making me think that will it be able to cross 20,000$ again?
Is it a good time to buy or should just leave it?

I think the price of Bitcoin has risen too much in the last 12 months. So there is some need for consolidation. After more usage of the bitcoin, the price will catch up again.

All the situation reminds be a Big Game, where small and great players are involved. Great ones could sell theit BTC for its high price and just need to make it go down to buy it again. IMHO.

However its price is crawling up again. It seems that Bitcoin wants to prove everybody that he is the real King.

Well , thats a good question but without an answer, we cannot know what's gonna happen next , Bitcoin cand rice up again to $ $20k or maybe its gonna fall down to $5k or maybe lower, we just can't predict the future . I think its not clever to buy know, i know that a lot of people say we should buy when Bitcoin is falling down  becouse it's gonna rice up again with a higher price , but they cannot know if that's corect.  So I think it's more clever to wait until Bitcoin starts ricing up at least with $ 2k  and then to buy .

First of all it's seasonal correction. Secondly it's Chinese and Korean holidays. Thirdly it's too huge capitalization and market just don't see yet how to keep increasing it even more.
It is true that we will have to be careful about price and demand for selling and buying. At time of low price it is good to hold and wait. Chinese are not in favor of bitcoin but now some of Koreans are also saying that bitcoin is ban for them in their country, it is not bad but to some extent it is because if all countries will love bitcoin and will support it will increase the bitcoin price and will make it world currency in very short time.

It is the correction or we can manipulation of the big whales that has cause this dip. Negatives news about cryptocurrency has created fears among holders causing them to panic sell. Maybe it is a good time to buy because everything is at low but you should have the nerve to deal with the anxiety.

Actually it is pretty normal for any type of currency. This is your opportunity to buy bitcoin and wait for it to go up. It is possible to cross large margin at the end of the year. Just be patient.

this is so irritating...
Bitcoin should not go this low
Thanks to those people who are believing those fuds out there. Bitcoin shouldn't go this low? Come on mate, bitcoin moved forward quickly so this is still a normal basis of its pull back. Relax all of you, were all doing fine. Wait for bitcoins recovery very soon as long as it is stabilized again at $9,000 that will be pushed upwards.

Panic sell man, f*cking india govt banned cryptos. F*ck them.

No, they did not. The words of India's finance minister do not become laws immediately. He said that the government does not view cryptocurrencies as a form of legal tender. Big deal! Haven't we heard something similar from the government officials of various countries many times before? Mark my words, Bitcoin will never be banned neither in India nor in any other country that big. Why? Because there's too much money invested in it by the same people who can make the ban legitimate. I'm not saying they caring about their people, but they do care about themselves. I bet this minister, Arun Jaitley, is buying at the low right now, just like JPMorgan did in the past.
Ministers are never responsible for their words. Sometimes it seems to me that each oligarch can buy any Minister. It seems to me that we are now under attack by the millionaires of wall street. They drew attention to bitcoin and want to buy the maximum number of coins. Statements by Ministers of the different countries is only a well-paid provocation.

Paid by whom? They are government officials and they have a lot of money themselves. I think no one pays them for what they say regarding Bitcoin regulations, they do it either out of their own stupidity or deliberately in order to make the price fall so they can buy more BTC with the same amount of fiat.

I am little curious now how that bitcoin is falled this much?
It's quite funny that even today people are unable to find the reason of this rapid drop.
The major reasons are alts present in the market and the whales who are manipulating the price.
Bitcoin has loss dominance in the market, according to the current figures only 36.1 percent of total cryptos market cap consist of bitcoins, which is lowest in the history.
it rides massively and didn't looked that it will fall like that, its making me think that will it be able to cross 20,000$ again? Is it a good time to buy or should just leave it?
Bitcoin is capable to cross even $50K this year if the users shift back towards the pioneer.
This price decline will not going to stay forever or for long time, soon it will pump again and indeed it will be good to buy in this huge price dip.

It is true that it is painful to see the bitcoin fall so abruptly, especially when an environment of overflowing optimism prevailed and everyone made big plans for 2018 with a bitcoin at $100k. But I think that seeing the trend of bitcoin during 2015 and 2016, its real price these days should not be more than $3,000. Everything reached above that price, was pure speculation.

nobody knows why btc rised and why it is falling now
something is so mysterious controlling it
The price of the bitcoin currency rised if the demand of supply to the market are much higher. But for now as you can see the bitcoin price will close to $7,900 many crypto users are panic because of that price and I think, the main reason is the number of critics against crypto currency like bitcoin spreading of fake news all over the world. And somebody said it's because of the big holders, they make the fake news to panic the crypto users and for the bitcoin price drops so they can buy more bitcoin at a cheap price and if they done filling their wallet they will remove the fake news. maybe that is the one reason that's not imposible right.?

I think the price of Bitcoin has risen too much in the last 12 months. So there is some need for consolidation. After more usage of the bitcoin, the price will catch up again.
I am also asking why what's happening in the market now. Price has drops so much and I expected also to reach high, maybe the reason's why because a lot of fuds these days. Yes thats what I think also for the past months price has reach ath and this is the big correction though.

The stock market is falling as well. People believe the Federal Reserve is going to raise interest rates again, and that means money will switch out of risky assets into safe ones (like bonds).

Crypto is a volatile market so you have to be ready for all possible movements. BTC decreased much but my personal opinion it will not stop in a short term, probably will continue to decrease. This is not an investment decision. Buying decision is important I prefer to buy at different levels step by step.
Yes this continous decrease in price makes us to feel that the price will even drop further. The negative news played a big role in price drop making much fear and uncertainty in the minds of people tending them to sell all their coins. This makes the market to go down, within short the market will catch up so I think it is time to buy and if not buy just hold and not to sell.

Now many are selling their holding bitcoin with low price, it's not good.First get clear bitcoin is not banned in India, they had a idea of regular of bitcoin in India.I suggest the people of India, to just hold the bitcoin. This is the best time to inverse in bitcoin and not to sell.Don't do panic selling of bitcoin at low price.
The price of bitcoin falls immediately normal .Well ,we all know that bitcoin or cryptocurrencies is notoriously volatile, nobody can predict and know when its price goes up or down. Thus , I feel this news really normal and I am not scared any more. Yep, with some people who don’t have much more experiences, they may easily sell bitcoin in suddenly, in fact they feel afraid of not earning benefits, and I’ve seen some like this are the one who got failed in this cryptocurrrencies market. All you need to do now is keep your head, don’t worry too much and especially is not selling bitcoin. I believe that its price will recover again.

It has bounced back in the last half hour.  But I won't risk buying.  I think it will fall again in a few hours time.  Maybe it's just whales putting money in and then taking it out to make the price bump.    I am not trusting prices just now since I heard about tethers and other stuff.

You don't have to do panic selling mate, it's just a tactic of those big time holders to manipulate the bitcoin price, that causes a panic selling for those small time holders that are afraid to loss a lot of money because of this deep dropping price of bitcoin. But the truth is Indians government isn't banning bitcoin, here's the link about the news that proves that Indians didn't ban bitcoin, https://www.ccn.com/no-india-isnt-banning-bitcoin-as-mainstream-media-gets-it-wrong-again/ .

calmly don't panic, bitcoin and other cryptocurrency is down because there are some issues in some countries that prohibit the use of bitcoin I think this is just a drama because every negative issue just as it succeeds in making bitcoin prices fall, it's like making them want to buy at cheap price so follow the pattern of their play the issue makers.

when they want to go down then we can prepare ourselves to buy as much as you can because this is a good place to buy bitcoin at a very cheap price, after that there will be new news that will trigger the increase bitcoin prices and that's when we can sell the bitcoin we've bought when at a low price.

A lot of bad news came this week, but still this is a very normal correction, a lot of media entities are taking advantage of this to put fear to investors, weak hands are getting out and strong hands going for a hold, after this we will see a new all time high i believe, this happened every year, bitcoins bubble burst wont happen this year.

you are at good advantage if you have fiat currency to invest now.

you will make massive gains when it begins to rise.

It's at its lowest since it rose to $20,000. this is the good time for new comers to join.

All of a sudden the bitcoin price has drop to as low as $9,022 on the Luxembourg-based Bitstamp exchange left bitcoin trading at less than half the peak price of almost $20,000 it reached in December. It slid more than 26 percent last month, in its worst monthly performance since January 2015.
Other cryptocurrencies, including Ripple, the third-largest by market value, and Bitcoin Cash, have also racked up double-digit declines in the last 24 hours, according to Coinmarketcap.com, which tracks the industry. Ethereum was up slightly on the day.

No one can really explain the fall in price of bitcoin in the market. One thing for sure is that it will bounce back again unexpectedly. So this is the right time to buy and add to your investment since the price is as compare to the price of December 2017. Do not think of quitting at all, the price will definitely rise again.

No, i don't think it is the right time to buy the bitcoin because there is panic selling going on over the different parts of the world specially india where the rumours are spreading that they are going to ban the bitcoin and because of that I can see it is better to wait for some strong confirmation of strength in the charts and then we will go for buying the bitcoin in big quantity and till than you should not consider for buying the bitcoin.

I think this fall was all just because the mainstream media is playing a major role in spreading the Misinterpreting bitcoin regulation again all over the world and this time it's the Indian country which is acting to take some serious steps against the bitcoin holders and traders. And by this way, the rumours of banning the Bitcoin in India is spreading like fire which is creating a panic selling all over the world as India is a major contributor in the Bitcoin market with a total annual trade volume of almost 20 BILLION USD and that's why it's going to affect the bitcoin prices for sure . Even one of India's popular trading exchange ZEBPAY has reported that it has over 1.5 Million users who are actively trading here in the market and almost 200,000 new users are adding to this list at every month.

Its simply because of so many FUD'S spreading now in the internet. Maybe these are true but I know that some are also false. The banning of ads in Facebook, the tether controversy, the Banning of bitcoin India and so many more. These affect the price of bitcoin and since most altcoins are based on bitcoin, altcoins are dropping too. I am very optimistic with bitcoin so I know that it will increase in the succeeding months. Well,i guess that bitcoin price will return back to 2K-3K.The last three months of 2017 there was a huge pumping of the btc price and now there`s a massive dumping.FUD and negative news everywhere,Japan will regulate exchange platforms(this is not bad news, but it causes panic).Anyway,i believe that bitcoin will recover back to 16K at the end of 2018.Now it`s the best time to buy and HODL.

The decrease may continue; however, I don't see it returning to that low of a value. It has been nailed to around 7-8k dollars before it surged last November and December, so going down to as low as 2k-3k would really be a drag because that would amount to bitcoin losing its kingship title over other coins in the market. However, even if it seems that the market and bitcoin, to be specific, is in a dire situation. I would say that this is just part of how the market unfolds. Bitcoin is still the best asset around the market, and it has so many characteristic that points out to its capacity to regain its strength back. Also, there are so many holders of bitcoin in the market that would not let Bitcoin's value be driven to the ground.

Bitcoin is a lot like primesband , which is not a true coin but can be traded directly with the currency, Bitcoin can be bought directly with the American Dollar and if you want it will turn it into American Dollars. Bitcoin has a different distinction with the primesband, Bitcoin is totally on the Internet, it does not really exist, like primesband. Bitcoin prices are just like the stock market - and thus the profit from Bitcoin. Just like you buy a bit of $ 500 a day, a month later, Bitcoin prices increased to $ 600. When you sell your bitcoin, you get $ 100 profit. Of course the whole process is not so easy. Like a stock market, it has to be followed.

You ride the massive rise of bitcoin in the past year but you doubt now that it fall like this?
Maybe the best thing to do right now is to hold on and stop panic selling. It will be the best time to invest in bitcoin since the price is low and the probability that it would rise back to $20k is high.

It's really a panic moment for this platform, also for me as a small investor. I didn't expect such type of situation and this type of price fall. we had expected that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency prices will rise but the scenario has gone totally opposite. So like me, Many people have been worried about this situation and people are becoming panicked for this moment.

But I have a belief that This crisis will not last for a long time and it will recover very soon. so that don't be panicked and don't take any panicked selling action. keep calm and store your stock for the future purpose.

Panic is a main reason we are seeing prices drop. We are seeing this affect altcoins too. If anything it is showing people only wanting to profit from crypto currencies and not just to see them as functional currencies.

I think all you have to do is wait.
Because the panic in the entire cryptocurrency market is still spreading, I think the price of bitcoin will still fall further, and more and more bad news is beginning to emerge.

dont say that, if tha price wil not rise again it will be a huge loss to everyone

Remember that btc at $1 is still successfull.  The fact that a currency that governments cannot directly control is still the invention of the century.

I am little curious now how that bitcoin is falled this much?
it rides massively and didn't looked that it will fall like that, its making me think that will it be able to cross 20,000$ again?
Is it a good time to buy or should just leave it?

I totally understand how you react to the current price drop. The drop is indeed massive that even those people who are more or less strong believers of Bitcoin have gone selling their shares. But the stronger ones have stayed and will definitely be reaping much more than those who gave up. Remember that the lesson, as parted by history, is that the hodlers will gain a hundred or even a thousand fold than those who are doubting and selling.

The adjective we use to describe words sometimes are way too extreme just because price is falling then means bitcoin has failed? Most times we just think the very existence of bitcoin is tied to its price and nothing else. When price is increasing without basis, we are quick to rejoice not bothering about what is going to happen next. When the price was increasing sporadically towards the end of last year even though I wanted the price to increase, such margin was too high within a short period.

Now I don't expect anything less than what we are seeing and even with series of events, if price is rising, I would be worried Facebook just banned news relating to crypto currency, South Korea is yet to give a definite position on what they want to do, clamp down on crypto currency from governments couple with the trust that is falling evidenced by series of threads coming up to address the same issue. What else do you expect?

All we can do is to wait and to hope that bitcoin will grow again and will have a higher value. However, we should accept the fact bitcoin was basically not stable today. And can we please just wait and dont panic.

It is all because Indian gorvernment wanna ban bitcoin and Facebook's prohibition of ICO's ads

This might give some effects on the price right now but its still a FUD and whales trying to manipulate the market. Well I see this as a big corrections and also a great opportunity to buy more coins. Don't panic, cryptocurrency will exist in the future no matter what, just enjoy on buying now and greendays will come.

I'm almost ready to buy, may wait another day and see if the downtrend continues but I think around 7500-8500 will be about as low as it goes. There should be quite a bit of support there.

I think now is a good time to buy, as long as you recognize the potential of bitcoin. Bitcoin experienced absolutely more than it is now, we can go to see its history, we will find it still survived, we have any reason to give up yet.

If you did not trade, then I recommend buying 40-50%. Take on 8500, it's not for 19 000, they want so of course you can not compare. If you spill to 7000 - buy it. If you spill too much, wait. You believe in the crypt, otherwise you would not be here. If the market turns around - also buy it and it will be the right decision. Think that it's better for you-sleepless nights to catch 2000-3000 and get nervous or at an acceptable level to enter the market, acquire some tools, get acquainted with them, check your thoughts with the market. Bitcoin is not 1000 now. There is no Armageddon. They buy it. Will not fall forever.

I advise you, do not panic and do not afraid of the current condition, everything will be back to normal in mid 2018, and we have to wait. this happens because bitcoin many experienced shocks and slaps at the end of 2017 yesterday.
all we have to do today is hodl and if we can buy a lot, but do not you leave  bitcoin, because bitcoin will always go up and high. or you will regret it.

Recently, Indian government announced that they will ban all crypto related activities in India and this is affecting the prices. I think this decision is really bad for Indian investors, we already have so less earning opportunities here.

Crypto is a volatile market so you have to be ready for all possible movements. BTC decreased much but my personal opinion it will not stop in a short term, probably will continue to decrease. This is not an investment decision. Buying decision is important I prefer to buy at different levels step by step.

You should try to buy now while you have money, while btc price fall under 10k. Maybe this is the perfect time to buy bitcoin for affordable price. In the committee of bitcoin developers maybe they talk about this to control the price to make more investors. Probably this will result in other way in other option latter increase rapidly again bitcoin price without any form of double minded price it will hit again the high price. The end of 2018 is more interesting in the coming days.

If indeed you're in doubt/feel less sure, just leave it.. and if indeed you feel optimistic and sure it will going higher, just keep holding it/buying and it's more suitable for a long term of course.

Well,i guess that bitcoin price will return back to 2K-3K.The last three months of 2017 there was a huge pumping of the btc price and now there`s a massive dumping.FUD and negative news everywhere,Japan will regulate exchange platforms(this is not bad news, but it causes panic).Anyway,i believe that bitcoin will recover back to 16K at the end of 2018.Now it`s the best time to buy and HODL.

mate, yours is one of the first posts I read today and for a moment my heart stopped, before I checked the current price (it is 8.5k) and I was able to breath normally. After reading your post, for a moment I imagined bitcoin price being at a 1000 USD level.

Surely you ment that the price will return to 20k levels, not 2k.

What happens if Bitcoin now falls within the value of 1.Btc = 5.million?
while in mid-December 2017 Bitcoin triumphed in the range of 1.Btc = 250 Millions

May Bitcoin triumphantly return to the range 1. Btc = 300.Millions, so I can buy what I want

mainly panic sell due to manipulation of the market and lots of FUD.

Quote
it rides massively and didn't looked that it will fall like that,
the massive rise was an indication of a big follow up drop. maybe not this big but still...

Quote
its making me think that will it be able to cross 20,000$ again?
yes it will because the potential of bitcoin has not gone anywhere. it is still the most solid cryptocurrency among nearly 2000 cryptocurrencies. and the adoption of it is also growing specially with additions such as lightning network which will help with the usage as a currency.

Quote
Is it a good time to buy or should just leave it?
it may be best to wait a little longer if you want to have your mind at peace.
