The key point Reason for the Market Crash is Fear and Inflation.
Also, don't forget about the cycle of bearish and bullish period. This cannot be separated from the crypto world. Nowadays, it is time for a bearish market that stafrom several months ago. Just enjoy it and utilize every period to earn money.
Btw, for this dump, it is a good time to add more Bitcoin, isn't it? Hopefully, I can have more cash to add during this bearish season to prepare for the next bullish era.

..why if we buy now and keep even though Bitcoin fall again to reach 10000 thousand it will not affect because you know that it will fall again and also rise again. And if it rise you will make profit
It is because we don't know when is the dip exactly. That is why we must manage our money when buying coins. DCA may be useful. In this case, we are suggested not to be all in when buying because probably tomorrow will drop again or vice versa.

I must say, I didn't expect Bitcoin to drop so low. I thought that it was becoming more stable, losing a lower percentage of its value than it used to before. It seems that I was wrong, as it already lost around two thirds (compared to ATH), and it's unclear if the bottom is $20k (maybe it can go even lower, who knows anymore). I'm a bit concerned, and I don't think inflation is a reasonable explanation. Why would inflation lead people away from Bitcoin, not toward it? After all, Bitcoin is resistant to inflation by design (to hyperinflation, that is, as the number of coins is growing, but slowly)! So it's some sort of ridiculous panic selling. I hope the panic will be over, and more people will start seeing it as an opportunity to buy.

I heard somebody said that we are in bitcoin even early than we thought. I, myself getting in "late" am excited for this opportunity to stack more sats!
this is the best time of buying bitcoin for investment but people will use the eye of bitcoin is falling daily to encourage others not to buy bitcoins and keep, why if we buy now and keep even though Bitcoin fall again to reach 10000 thousand it will not affect because you know that it will fall again and also rise again. And if it rise you will make profit

I think End of the year 2022 Bitcoin will pump again. This crisis happened for Russia, Ukraine war. For this war world economy huge down now. Every sector of economy fall down. I think within this year war will end then total economy will turn and it will increase. Then Crypto market will turn and Bitcoin Price will Go new ATH There has no doubt. Because Bitcoin is most important part of world economy.

Bitcoin falling is becoming something else and i don't know if bitcoin price will be rising again for this year because the falling is making me to be afraid of holding bitcoin. For people that being into the system for long time how do you feel about bitcoin falling is it any assurance that this coins will do well again, bitcoin is falling to reach 19k and if it reached 10k do we still have the Hope that it will increase and pass 60

You SHOULD be afraid...  Your brain is trying to tell you something, listen to it.

GREED makes people do really stupid things, and ignore so many obvious warning signs.   We have seen this many times in different bubbles and Ponzi schemes throughout history.

anyone who thinks that bitcoin is going to zero does not really know anything about what the blockchain technology and bitcoin is in general,

WRONG WRONG WRONG:   Bitcoins is NOT blockchain technology.  Bitcoin USES blockchain technology just as pets.com used the internet.   Pets.com went to zero, and so can bitcoin go to zero....  Blockchain will still be around, most likely be used by Federal Reserve Coin...

The fact that you make such and EASY and OBVIOUS error tells me you are not the person anyone should be listening to for financial advice   Lips sealed

Bitcoin price early dropped in 2022 and now huge dropping day by day.Bitcoin already touched in 68$k but now it dropped and reached $19k+.Bitcoin price early dropped in this month cz previous month bitcoin was around $37k+  and it was staying around $40k+.I think bitcoin price will be recover soon and bitcoin price wil be more grow in future.
Actually you are quite right of bitcoin decrement in value daily, but the factor I'm considering is that this occurrence of bitcoin depreciating, it's not the first neither the end of experiencing this low values of bitcoin. I know quite well that bitcoin most surely accelerate in value. We should not panic much because the market shall retrace back at least forty thousand (40k)

When Bitcoin was rising, all people were talking about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology on a daily basis, and what it brings. Today, this has become a bit rarer, but there is a good chance we will see a new bull market again, and people will certainly talk about it once again. I do believe that cryptocurrencies and blockchain will flourish and start to be used en masse, but that does not necessarily mean that their price will skyrocket. One must realize that the blockchain is now in the same phase as the Internet was in the 90's and that there are many opportunities available. At that time, no one could even imagine Internet as we know it today. The same will happen with cryptocurrencies.

EASY ANSWER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bitcoin is crashing...   Going to its intrinsic value of zero.

Did you really need me to tell you something so obvious   Huh

it's obvious that you are just saying this out of no point, anyone who thinks that bitcoin is going to zero does not really know anything about what the blockchain technology and bitcoin is in general, this crash is just normal it's has happened few years ago and it is happening now, it will also happen in future, its the normal market cycle which need to occur, only the wise will buy solid coin at this dip and profit in years to come

Don't worry about what happens to bitcoin and actually this is the best time to collect because it's on discount, and I don't really care what happens to bitcoin or other related news.
remember what happened to bitcoin will definitely happen again and will continue to be so, so don't worry too much or get carried away by the news, because ups and downs are the nature of bitcoin and buy low sell high is the strategy. So what's happening now with bitcoin, I think it's a good time to buy and hold it and it doesn't matter how long it takes because the bulls are bound to happen even if it takes quite some time.

It seems whatever is happening now with Bitcoin this is not a very big problem, for smart investors they take this opportunity to Invest, and by taking advantage of this bear market they believe that this is not a too serious problem, so don't be too afraid of the situation this.
Take my word for it – what is happening now to Bitcoin and in the market generally isn't anything new. Just see it as the needed price correction before a new push to a fresh ATH. In fact, don't even bother about Bitcoin on this. It has a way of taking care of itself and "resurrecting" so to say at the due time. Bitcoin is a phoenix; a sort of a cat with nine lives. Don't panic if you're new in this industry.

I know almost all veteran members understand what's happening in the market. But, newbies like me still trying to figure out what's happening and the possible reason why it's happening. Now, People sharing their thought as if BTC is the only currency that is going down now. Every currency going down right except stable coins (We don't see the stable coins going down like Terra UST).
The key point Reason for the Market Crash is Fear and Inflation.

I agree with you, right now the market is guided by fear. This week we saw a lot of panic selling happening. Why are so many people running for the door now? All the risky assets dropped a lot this week, but selling bitcoins now at 20,000 USD or even below seems like a very bad choice to me. We should be buying low and selling high, not the other way round. What I don't understand is why high inflation is pushing down on the bitcoin price so much. Shouldn't it be that inflation is bring down the value of fiat money and increases the value of crypto coins? The best thing we can do is HODL and not give into the selling pressure. Stable coin might be one solution to store value, but the more people sell at the moment also means the price will drop even further down. We can all stop the panic by not selling our coins.

buy the dip, sell the hype
The latter is what I haven't been able to do well. Well, maybe not very well because I tend to hodl longer than I should. I don't know if there's anyone who has been able to sell when the ovation is loudest before the descent. I mean there were investors who heDl to the recent ATH of $64k+, expecting it would go higher but then ended selling below $50k. I'm sure there are some who are still hodling to this very moment, wishing it could go up back now so they can quickly sell off. I ain't talking about those who are genuine hodlers. I'm talking of investors who missed the opportunity to sell because of higher price expectations.

buy the dip, sell the hype
OK so, we should have understood by now that this is somehow a normal pattern in the cryptocurrency market because history has shown us that there has been a couple of Bull and Bear markets since Bitcoin Genesis so why all the fear that people keep having whenever the market drops? I understand that most thought the dynamics have changed in the market compared to previous years of Bitcoin and we might not see this level of dips again but I think this is not the case, however, we should learn how to take advantage of every market opportunity.

What more can I say? I never expected the price of Bitcoin to go down so much. Earlier, the price of Bitcoin was around 60K. Since then, the price of Bitcoin has come down day by day. Now the price of Bitcoin is around 20k. I can't really say what happened to Bitcoin. Depending on the cryptocurrency market with Bitcoin. At the present time the price of Bitcoin is so low that those who will invest in Bitcoin will benefit a lot in the future. It seems to me that Bitcoin is much faster than it used to be   The price of this bitcoin will increase more.

It came to me as a ride shock when I saw the price of BTC at about $20k, and ETH at $1100.
And one major factor responsible for this downward trend is fear of the unknown. People are scared, and selling off their assets.
Moreso, the dumps is healthy for the Industry. If there were no dumps, then we should be worried.
quite sad to see what is happening in the market today, the price of bitcoin which in 2021 could reach ATH actually decreased in 2022, many hope that in 2022 bitcoin will be able to provide an effective surprise and many predict the price will reach $100k, but in fact what we are seeing today is beyond our expectations, the only way for us right now is to tighten our belts and hope that the bad times of bitcoin will pass soon.

Yes simple as that.
Don’t get tensed by seeing the price of the coin.
Bitcoins is for long term only. So for a moment just stay away from the prices and chill.
We all have seen the real potential of Bitcoins earlier. We also know that this is just a dump, and soon the coin will pump.
So instead of selling the coins to petty buyers, buy as much Bitcoins as you can.
After few weeks when the bearish market will end, you will be overwhelmed by seeing the profits.
Good luck to everyone.

Many Bitcoiners predicted that the price would not go below $30,000 but currently we are seeing the opposite. As a new investor I am always observing the price movements and today have been quit better because Bitcoin is strongly maintaining the $21,000 mark. This community have been my source of encouragement and hope. There have been a general belief that it has happened before and it is just happening again. And if Bitcoin survived and came out stronger after the first challenge then it would still overcome this current one. And I strongly believe this prediction because Bitcoin I believe is worth investing on.  I think I would just try to stay away from my wallet and still invest more of my spare income.

This normal showing how demand and supply are playing around the market, which many people are selling off out of fear, And Bitcoin is a good position feed up your bag and buy more, sooner or later Bull run we start and opportunity is open currently open.

The simple reason is supply and demand but for a newcomer like OP,
would be hard to grasp what factors are in play how this market behaves.
As even experts can't identify the causes of this movement, we just based it from the current news.
News that may possibly drive the movement because of how the people react towards the news.
FUD that continues to appear extends the bearish season, so the price continues to decline due to continuous selling, but we can use this as an opportunity to invest at a low price, so we just have to wait for the bullish season to come. this has indeed become a common behavior that occurs in the crypto world, and previously 4 years of waiting for a bull market to come

This is called the greatest shakeout of weak hands because we're heading into a new digital economy (Bitcoin and cryptocurrency) and tokenization of so many things.
It is also custom and tradion of the market, change your mind set on how you see the market and see it as biggest opportunity looking at you for grab to at least a $100k BTC in the future.

You mean the $20,000 price? Some including me see's that price as long term support as it has been the resistance since 2017-2018 and when it broke that price and shoots up, it became the new support.
If you are here last 2018, you will see what is happening right now as a normal event.
It happened in 2018, and it happened again this year, 2022. It's a cycle.

No need to panic because market cycles tend to happen with any market. The best thing to do right now is to continue dollar-cost average because in the long run, you will still gain profit. If you continue to buy since 2018 when the market is down, you will see that your money is more than 10x (depending on what price you sell). I'm not saying that it will happen again in the future, but whatever goes down goes up as well, and it will go higher than the previous one.

Continue to Dollar-Cost Average, don't panic and be patient because patient people are the ones who are getting the most profit (aside from those who accumulated during the bear market).

I Don't think there is anything wrong with bitcoin that you are talking about. Sometimes the market is bluish for days or months and sometimes it's bearish for more or a few months, that's just part of the market and we cannot complain about the situation or the price. If you saw the price situation during the last bearish phase in 2018 you can understand sometimes we should expect to see this situation however maybe the current situation is worst than in 2018 but at least it giving us some discount to buy more bitcoins at a cheaper price.

What's happening now is no big deal. It has happened before and will continue to happen that is why it is called volatility. As a smart investor this is the right time to buy more and fill up your bag while waiting for the bull run. People panic selling would cry later.
Bitcoin don't have to be stagnant in value, what happened in the cryptocurrency is that the value never be dependent, bitcoin regulations is like a market that have no trust of values. Bull market can only come when the time of cryptocurrency market is due, every one is shouting and start building untrustworthy of bitcoin because of it's crash for values over some months.

Pumps and dumps are the part of trading.A wise man buy in dumps and at rigt time sell at hype.
Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy
‘Be greedy when others are fearful’

This line is always on my mind whenever i do tend to make some action in regarding with my trading on which making yourself to be that
greedy into those times where market is declining but this isnt something easy to tell into yourself in the actual situation.
We are just humans and on the times these are happening then you would really be still having those doubts on taking such action.

There's nothing much happening now than bitcoin which is the major most recognized digital currency is undergoing a persistent fall in price due to the volatility move and this is cause by the demand and supply for bitcoin, running volatile does not mean bitcoin is loosing value when it price falls and what needed to be clear here is that in cryptocurrency, bitcoin is the most recognized currency used for exchange other than other ones which most of them happens to be shitcoins.

We're inside the cycle. Inflation do come and it's also part of it and that's because people will find a way to hedge against it and the perfect asset for it is bitcoin.

Buying with DCA way during this massive dump would be the best choice.
I agree and whether DCA or not, as long as you take the moment to buy on this very dip, you're just doing the right thing. It's a wise choice to buy when you've seen that we're likely at the bottom.

Yes, take this situation as an advantage to buy bitcoins while it's still cheap and other coins too at a lower price as we don't know if this is the very rock bottom because their volatile. Just ignore the declinations of these prices and make this to your advantage. I'm not shocked because the market is declining because I expected that there would be many investors who would sell their bitcoins because of the current situation, seems like they're not that ready to commit for long term.

Bitcoin is very volatile this is a characteristic of bitcoin, so a sharp drop in price is normal. As someone who went through 2018, I dare to assure you that after the end of the bearish cycle, bitcoin will bounce back and even surpass the old ATH and reach the new ATH in the next bull cycle. You don't have to panic and sell everything, the rewards will be given to those who trust and hold bitcoin.

We will continue to experience bear cycles as long as there are panic sellers who invests only for the short term profit. Those paper hands do not care for the long term purpose of being a bitcoin holder and as such they tend to panic when price goes below their entry. Then, what seems to be just a little price regression becomes long bear market condition.

What is clear is that the current bitcoin price is going down, basically the bitcoin price is unstable, it can go up or down. smartly read the market, then you will take profit, for example like now the price of bitcoin is going down, so this is a good opportunity to invest in bitcoin because in the future the price of bitcoin will definitely recover.

I also did not expect 20k to happen without a bounce back. This is a good example of why we shouldn't look for similarities in the cycles. In 2018 we had plenty of bounces in the bear market.
It's actually very strange that they are able to crash the price so much after such a week bull run. Every time I see this and I've seen it at least once each year, it amazes me that when price falls by 60% or 70% there are still people willing to sell at a loss.

Any market has up and downs in their circulating period. In 2018 market was dumped and bitcoin goes 3k something after that recovery happened. These dumped are very common in crypto industry thats why it is very important to not take entry at any time. Market will go up as holders increases with their btc. We hope that btc will recover very fast. All altcoins will also be in momentum when everything will be stable.

The crypto winter is going to make many crypto projects go bankrupt, even though some of them are pure scams and others are semi-legit.
Celsius Network is going down the hill and this helps for increasing the level of panic on the crypto markets, since many investors are going to lose their precious coins.
Luna collapsed, the Bitcoin price went from 40K to 30K.
Celsius is about to collapse, the BTC price went from 30K to 23K and it might drop below 20K.
Is this a coincidence? I don't think so.
Who is next? Tether? Coinbase?
I'm still bullish in the long term(which means 2 years ahead). The crypto industry will get rid of many centralized "too good to be true" crypto projects, which is definitely a good thing. The problem is that all those projects helped for pumping the crypto prices. Who is going to pump the prices in 2024-2025?

Been in this market for long and have seen this many times and there are lot of    factors responsible for the same at this time but we all know this phase will also recover soon and prices going up.We are in bear cycle and we witness these big dumps in few years mixed up with lot of things like the LUNA crash at this time which affected it badly but for long run it's no worries.

This is a normal and common thing to happen during bear market since it's due to fear and weak hands to hodl in this kind of price. Mostly of them are cashing out already after seeing the price hits $25k then now here we are staring at the $22k and if more fear and dump's going to happen then it's not impossible to see a below $20k price.

But I hope the support is strong enough to hold at $20k besides if it's going down then buy the dip it's all a win-win situation anyway, you just have to know how to work things out.

If someone will remember in the year 2018, which was the last quarter of the year Bitcoin had sharply down and almost reach $3k.
Everyone freaking out at that moment and I saw it seems the same in this situation now that someone freak out about the price knowing that it's pretty normal to the Bitcoin price movement.  That's how the volatility will work.

If you're a holder, just extend your patience and if you're an investor, it's the right time to invest.
Buying with DCA way during this massive dump would be the best choice.

it's going down... it is a normal process. the cash is value not BTC.
the smart ones withdrew the shits to cash. Smiley
that's what i have been emphasising on since, bitcoin price always experience downfall.so when such occur people thought that bitcoin will not resurrect any longer. And from my conception i know vividly that it's wrong part of newly investors understanding cryptocurrency regulations and speculation. Falling of bitcoin makes it to be stronger and fit. And it's very plain and obvious that without experiencing degradation of price, it's bond and market profiting will not be valued to the society.

What's happening now is no big deal. It has happened before and will continue to happen that is why it is called volatility. As a smart investor this is the right time to buy more and fill up your bag while waiting for the bull run. People panic selling would cry later.
For you maybe because you have less worries but for some it is a big deal since they expected that the price won't drop like this. They want bitcoin to recover now so that they can sell and pay the money that they loan for buying more bitcoins at the last dip. Volatility is the up and down of the price in a short duration and the gap is small only but what we are witnessing now is more than it, it is now called a dump or a bear because the price gets stable at the lowest points.

There is no need to panic sell if it's only about btc since like you said this wasn't the first and this isn't also going to be the last but better if we practice ourselves to get used of this situation.

This is the normal. Bitcoin is by nature volatile, and this what will open door in front of investor to take advantages of the reduce price and the potential raise of price.
In trading and investing, indeed what is happening now looks quite normal, but of course there is a reason when make for the significant decline in bitcoin like today, the price of bitcoin even very fell in just 24 hours and to be honest if what is happening now makes I am a little afraid of the future of bitcoin, seeing the decline that continues to occur due to the many negative issues circulating makes me think if maybe bitcoin has now entered the Crypto Winter phase again Cry

I hope the panic will be over, and more people will start seeing it as an opportunity to buy.

any bitcoiner directly known that bitcoin price or regulations is not constant and it doesn't stick to one particular values.and i want you to know that it's obvious that the price of Bitcoin and price of any other coins is not same with bitcoin price, and anything that makes bitcoin price going down will affect every other cryptocurrencies. Those who panic when they experience bearish market is people who is not acquainted with the price regulations of cryptocurrencies. Because it's obvious that Bitcoin don't have a specific price

I think one of the key reasons regarding BTC’s dump is due to Celsius blocking all redemptions resulting for the whales to play mind games with us by simply selling some of their BTCs and let others panic sell before they could buy again at their targeted prices. However, that might not only be the reason. There are many reasons why BTC is pumping and dumping without warning, but all I know is that it’s here to stay and may recover hopefully by the Q4 of this year or so.

It's a very difficult time for Hodlers of bitcoin, and more difficult for those who bought the dip a few weeks before and are new to crypto, thinking that was the lowest the prices could get. Many plans have changed as a result of this further dip, for some a setback, for others who are both financially stable and confident an opportunity to buy more. We have to be prepared mentally for situations like this, just as we can't predict the how high the value of bitcoin can be, likewise the dump, we must as much as possible avoid to join the panic because in panic do people make wrong investment decisions.

Let's think about this for a minute. I understand everything you are saying but for all the people who panic selling there must be opposite people happily Buying their Bitcoin up because it is not been sold into thin air. As I said, I understand why people will feel the way they do about the market but if Bitcoin could go from $20k to about $3k and was also able to come back from that to above $60k, this is just another phase but the recovery could take time no question.

in my experience the only reason for the current drop is only fear and nothing else.
we had price not being able to go above $70k a couple of months ago and then it fell down. ever since then it hasn't been able to reverse back up and people became convinced that the drop is the repetition of previous drops such as the one we had in 2018 so it should be long and big like that one. with the world economy mainly in US and Europe crashing hard we have an additional fear in bitcoin world.
the result of all of this is the crash we are seeing.
Ofc, Only fear is what makes an asset dump because no one will sell unless they fear speculate on what will be the outcome of the market. We can't blame those sellers because the majority of them are just buying Bitcoin for profit alone and not like us that believes on it's future use case on the future of finances.

Fiat is the root of all this problem in the economy. Maybe someday people will realize how cool Bitcoin is.

Here is an article worth reading from financial express.

Cryptocurrency markets have crashed to a new low of this year today (13th June, 2022). The global market cap has shrunk below $1 trillion to $977 billion, around 12 % fall since yesterday. The global cryptocurrency market cap has fallen by around $1 trillion this year while almost every top coin is now worth half or even less than their all-time highs.

The immediate trigger for the crypto crash appears to be a massive sell-off by investors amid heightened inflation fears and pausing of withdrawal by crypto lending service Celsius. Investors are also continuing to stay away from riskier assets, which is reflecting in the stock markets as well.

“The crypto market has been under pressure from the Federal Reserve, hiking the interest rates to combat inflation over the past few months. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and most cryptocurrencies suffered losses over the weekend after a broad sell-off following the data showing US inflation hitting a 40-year high,” said  Edul Patel Co-Founder and CEO of crypto investment platform Mudrex.

“As investors seem to have panicked, the number of crypto liquidations has been high since Friday. Bitcoin and Ethereum plummeted as much as 7% each and are currently trading at their lowest at US$25,000 and US$1,300. The bearish trend may likely continue in the next coming days,” he added.

While altcoins have historically underperformed Bitcoin, this time they have an added pressure of potential regulatory roadblocks. A report by CoinDesk quoted an expert as saying that only a small number of altcoins are likely to survive such market movements.

Shivam Thakral, CEO of crypto exchange BuyUcoin said that the rising food, gas, and energy prices are putting tremendous pressure on the crypto market as Bitcoin and Ether have witnessed double-digit losses in the past 24 hours.

“After the consumer price index reported the highest inflation since 1981, financial markets across the globe have seen a sharp downturn,” said Thakral.

“The market is expected to remain choppy in the coming weeks and countries around the globe continue to report high inflation numbers. The current dip in the crypto prices allows investors to buy crypto at 2021 prices and we expect the seasoned investors to take advantage of the dip,” he added.

According to Darshan Bathija, CEO of crypto exchange Vauld, most investors worry that unless inflation numbers start dropping soon, the US Fed may have to tighten reigns by increasing interest rates at a faster pace than anticipated.
