I think that bitcoin will reach an all time high. People will start believing in bitcoin again. Therefore they will start buying again. And bitcoin will become active in the market again. People are seeking for a new currency which they can trade as a new commodity. Of course it will take some time for bitcoin to establish itself all over the world because it is a new currency, something that the world has not gotten use to it. But with time I think bit coin will become a house hold name. Where bitcoin will be traded freely among each other and will even be used to buy everyday commodities such as bread and milk.

yes, and the next things that bitcoin needs to do is just increase the power so people that still holding their bitcoin can get their profit. and now, many of us are happy to see the price can increase and it's on the way to reach the highest price because I guess the trends are still increasing. I hope that people can be patient for a while and not make a fast selling so the price can break the high price. we can see that soon, the government will see that bitcoin has the power to lift the price up so they can accept bitcoin as a new currency.

I'm not sure LN is successful at launch until now. The bitcoin transaction system is still the same as it used to be, the high fees and the transaction system are still slow. I hope LN's next project is still being launched because I'm sure it will reduce transaction issues on bitcoin.

The next goal for bitcoin is to have more adoption. Once governments across the world accept bitcoin and btc is accepted in every store it will gane a true adoption. Right now it's still highly speculative and not many people ar eusing it as a currency. People are afraid to spend something that may rise a lot in the future. Over tim ethe price will become more stable and this will be less of an issue.

Also we will be expecting a huge price increase rally until December this year of 2018. As we notice the charts are already signalling the entrance of 10k$ nearing the end of this month. I think, what's next for bitcoin is the continuous pump it had generated in the past days which enable for bitcoin to further grow it's market price value. Also, with the current lightning network, I believe it made the payment transaction of bitcoin into a much faster and cheaper fees.

Also of potential interest for people wondering about future developments is PSBT, or 'Offline' Bitcoin transactions. I thought it strange that, so far, only an Ethereum website has picked up on this being merged. But then I suppose it's one of those things that might take a while to come to fruition. Used up all your data? That's fine. Are you somewhere remote and there's no signal or wifi access? No problem. Want to spend coins you've got safely locked away in cold storage? Simple. I'm sure there's a whole bunch of other use-cases as well.

Best of all, it'll be another nail in the coffin for the uneducated detractors who still believe "no internet = no Bitcoin".

Good question. I'm not really sure what improvement we still wanted to see because we haven't implemented LN yet on a large scale. Its currently been tested and there's a lot of positive and negative things so I guess we have to wait till its get laid down and see what areas we need to improvement then. Another thing worth noted is regulations itself, it will be a continued battle as a long as bitcoin and crypto are flourishing, there will be hostility towards it that's for sure.

Ideally, no. More centralised exchanges aren't exactly a laudable goal for a decentralised ecosystem. We can do better than that. Exchanges are a relic of the "traditional" finance world. The idea of Bitcoin isn't that a custodian looks after your money for you. Literally the last thing we want to do is encourage more of that kind of behaviour. When the tech reaches its full potential, we won't need exchanges for most things anymore.

In 2012, there were lots of internet talks "buy 1 ounce silver. End the Fed". Then Silver price fell to $9/ounce.
