I prefer to send the coin to the new address in the platform than using my own personal wallet as I don't have to login using my private key because its a lot safer. Probably depends to the user but the most important is the speed. Most of the P2P and decentralized exchange I've tried like forkdelta is too slow, same thing with etherdelta.

Usually, I use P2P exchanges to avoid giving too much personal data to third-party services. If a P2P exchange comes up with some sort of a unique identification process wherein a user need not to submit a lot of personal info, that is where I come in and try the platform.
