I think depend on your strategy of trading, because of trading is just for pasive income to me. I choose ethereum classic, because the ETC's price was going down and it is chance for me to buy it and hold until get profit then sell them. Although it will need much time until getting the profit. as the topic says. What's the best Altcoin for price appreciation? Right now and why? Any feedback would be great!

I don't think the best altcoin is determined by volume.. monero, has been on a tear lately. Things should probably cool down after all the announcements. So it may be a good buy when things settle down.

I agree that the best altcoin cannot be determined by volume alone but it can be used as an indicator and a barometer of where the interest of the people is and how much interest is there. If there is more volume then it would maybe mean that the traders are interested in trading it because it is where the people are gravitating to.

in my opinion in the present time the best altcoin is ether and monero which gives a better profir. we can hold it and sell when its rate increase .from recent months many peoples are earning profit from these two .since monera givea very small profit but we can't forget it . as the topic says. You mean future price appreciation? That is hard to say because we do not have inside information. In hindsight the biggest was ETH and there are many who say that XMR will also follow ETH's footsteps to moondom.

i would avoid, all ico, all scrypt, and all x11, they are bound to die lol, i would choose a fresh new coin with a new algo and new proposal, i can only see right now lbry, for the old one spreadcoin is nice

Ya got to agree with WAVES, for the real world application and how they want to appeal to the masses. Price is low right now, may be a good time to get in.
LISK as well, this has a chance to pull an Ethereum and has the same goal as WAVES in mass adoption but in Dapp use.
SYNX also if you like coins with POW, no-premine, if their employee software gets adopted by companies, then it could be big.
ZCash for POW , and the great dev team behind it (people from MIT, John Hopkins, etc) could build something that could challenge bitcoin.
XRP is being adopted by banks, this could jump but might take awhile.
ETC - put some as a mid risk gamble, many people are surprised that it survived this long, for the survivability factor and potential. Chinese miners and also Bitcoin only traders have interest in it more than ETH ever had.

Better to check coinmarketcap. i seen that i spoted 3 coins which is litecoin monero and ether classic.
