http://www.coinmarketcap.com provide best trading research information but if you really want to succeed in trading then I advise you to do your own research using exchangers sites news feed and charting. If you developed your own trading strategy and research information and knowledge for successful trading? Very soon you will become a professional trader.
Actually before I just study and learn on my own by reading some articles and watching videos, one of my friend is interested about trading and I will recommend this site to help him understand trading well. It takes a lot of time to learn different things in trading but newbies doesn't need to rush things because I know that they can easily learn day by day.It was hard to be a successful trader because you need to have some skills and knowledge in order to make wise decision. We all know that trading ain't easy but newbies can cope up in this market if they do proper research especially when they are looking for a good crypto exchange like darb exchange it is a good trading platform that has demo account that can help newbies to trade because some of them still need some guidance aside from that it has fast transaction in transferring assets and funds. In addition to that this exchange can also be a crypto wallet it has high security that protects your assets from hackers. Well until now I continue reading some articles and reading some shared experiences from trading because I know that it can help me to enhance my knowledge so thank you for sharing it.

This stuff is really cool! I know many of you like typical forums are going to tell me to use Google.  I tried but I'd like to hear everyone's input please.

What's the best cryptocurrency research website?

Also why is the word "shitcoin" everywhere?

Something that would lead me in the right direction to buying would be much appreciated.

Please and thank you!
Shitcoins are those coins that are definitely a waste of time. If you end up with a shit coin you get to lose everything in it, cause it’s going to get dumped and there will be no way for you to get your money out of it.

As for where to do research about Bitcoin, Google is a search engine so whatever you types in will definitely come up. But if you want a website you can go to direct, then I will recommend Cointelegraph.com.

There aren't any of them, so you will have to make your own research if you really want to find those kind of tools, i have been trading for years and i have never seen that kind of stuff before.
There are couple of good websites on the internet. Explore them. Plus, you can get the knowledge from anywhere around the world over internet and this helps a lot. Doing research for over a period of few months is more than enough. It eventually enables you do the right thing in the right time. Learning from the forum is also an easy way of accumulating ideas and knowledge.

For me the best crypto exchange is bittrex, poloniex, binance, crytopia, etc. Because of safe trading site and easy trading platform and shitcoin is just a coin with small value or not valuable coin.
I prefer to trade in one place because if I trade in several places it will only make me confused to control the assets that I have, and I prefer a binance exchange for me to use for profit.
But trading in one place will limit the number of coins you can  trade except that majority of the coin you want to invest in are listed on that exchange which I doubt.

I have been in your shoes too where I promised myself never to trade in different  exchanges but this became impossible for me after I picked interest in some coin I believe strongly in but not listed on my exchange that is what gave birth to the research I did and got to know of an application that I can use to trade in one place irrespective of the exchange they are on called  TABTRADER, you can check it out too.

I think Coinmarketcap is only used to view information from volume, time charts, social media information from Coiin or tokens and information on total supply of coins in circulation, while perhaps what the OP needs is where it can provide coin price comparison in real time from existing exchange , so that the OP can take advantage of the difference in coin prices to trade in several exchange places quickly.

maybe this could be the one needed by the OP https://www.arbitrage.expert/

One of the main crypto trading websites that are very useful was the coinmarketcap and cryptocompare in my opinion.

Although, there are some websites out there still helpful aside from the platform which I had mentioned.

I am from Forex world.
I suggest to look at https://cryptolinks.com/, because I simply can’t think of a better place for Crypto, especially for Crypto trading. As everything can EASILY be found which include the Crypto News sites link, Exchanges, Trading tools, Calendars, Professional Guidance and much more, so if this is not the perfect site, then I am very sorry, there will just not be ANY perfect site. So, we need to make sure we make full use of it to get benefits from.

Learning about trading is like learning about anything else, there is no specific website that we can point you to, you just have to do your own research until you learn the basics and you think that you are ready for your first trade, and this takes time so don't rush it and don't be greedy and put a lot of money in your first few trades, and another tip is that the best way to learn about the best coins to trade is to just read topics and posts of people on this forum, that way you can build an idea about which coin will preform better than other based on people's opinions who are the one who influence the market.

There`s no specific site because there isn`t "the best place" for that, you must read about one thing on more than one place and to compare the news, after that you check forums to see what other people talk about, maybe someone knows something more, you never know.
After years you will find that sometimes the best news come from some new place, it`s like you are here for years and that`s place have incredible news, after sometime same happens. Just be open for everything and what ever you looking for will come eventually, from some place, unknown until that point.

I have an app for traders and it's called Tabtrader. It is quite useful for chart analysis. It updates the price and chart to increase or decrease the price of altcoins at the exchanges. It is quite useful for us.
About "shitcoin", it is the coins born only to pump and dump. then it will disappear and does not devote to any product crypto market.

The best way of crypto trading research is do it on your own. All you need is a good deal of time and that's all. You have to watch the chart of the price movement of various coins daily. In this way, you can develop a good expertise in crypto trading.

I think you should try the cryptopanic website.
Shitcoin means a type of alt coins looks like a scam, small capitalization, listing on a few exchanges only, etc

I think cryptopanic is the best one for any news you may want to read. If you want to research I would say go to either reddit for more research purposes and use their search bar or you can be here and read what everyone says about a subject you are wondering.

I mean bitcointalk is a great place to research everything you want, you will see the thing you want written by the owner of the things you are looking for, get all information and graphics and whatever AND you will get a lot of public feedback from the answers as well.

However if it is only whats going on around the world about crypto than I would suggest keeping tabs at cryptopanic should be enough. I do not think you need anything more than that for daily reading. Just keep an eye on thoes 3 places and you will be well versed in crypto.

Since the crypto market has not been around for so long-just a decade for Bitcoin- we do not have a huge data for research and this is the reason you have to spend time collecting information and applying it to your trade.

If you want to research coins I have a lot of site recommendations, first forums like bitcointalk and reddit can help you ask as you do now, secondly information sites like CoinDesk if you want information to know which sign market and social media sites like Twitter also contains good information for you, and sites like CoinMarketCap and BitcoinWisdom if you want to monitor the mobile crypto market for each coin or reading candle.

- stay away from ICO, in 99% of the times they are going to either scam you or their price will drop hard as soon as it hits the market.
- if someone told you to buy some altcoin then you most probably shouldn't do it because most people around here will tell you to buy what they have already bought and can not sell because price has dropped.
- learn more about what pump and dump is, you will see it all over altcoin market.

Frankly ICO investment has gotten really worse these days and I am sure all of your points are true to the mark. Yes they are scammers most of the time and only 1-2% of them will turn to be legit, with good price and great backings of supporters. If you find any ICO with those characters then only there is point in entering that market otherwise its not useful. If you really want to make investment in the altcoins anyway then surely you can do it but only with those coins which re already public, over the exchanger and with great volume, so probably the Top 50 coins will do job for you.

No, they just have to research the ICO before taking part in it. People who bought Ether during the presale and held it until now will be pretty wealthy by this point.  It's about doing due diligence on the people behind the coin.

ICOs can be great, you just have to distinguish between the endless shitcoins and those with a real purpose by reading and understanding their whitepapers.

In my opinion the reviews and news articles are more important before to Invest in the particular altcoin , so here the better thing in the altcoins is to just susbcribe the news channels of bitcoin and take action sudden when you hear news about any shit or any low priced altcoin .
Now here the main thing in this is that there are many sites that tell about the related sites and exchage and about the users Profile link to communicate with the dev of the altcoin .
But here the most better site that I like is coinmarketcap.com , this is really awesome site , about every detail you can find for any altcoin ( around 650+altcoins are exists in the altcoins market ) .

But, the crypto site is also a good source to starting your research about the coins.
This place already provided a lot of information to doing your research.
Also why is the word "shitcoin" everywhere?
It is caused by a lot of coins without a proper roadmap and just tries to gain more money to develop nothing for the investors. I mean a lot of project with millions raised funds offered nothing for us than just a crappy bullshit.

Honestly do you really think that there will be some websites which will be publishing some trading calls for free of cost by spending long hours for their researches and analysis. I believe if you are really looking for researches about crypto currencies, you only have to work for it to have your own researches and analysis.

I do see some crypto news magazines are publishing overviews on bitcoin trading, but I'm not finding anybody using it and sharing their experience on how effective those researches are.

There is trouble abrewing
because you are googling wrong Smiley
you should start searching for basic trading stuff, not specific to "crypto trading" if you are new to trading. and there are a lot of websites like investopedia with easy explanation of many things, it even have a part about bitcoin and trading it.

also there is this site called tradingview which you can see some nice topics there about trading and some analysis which can be pretty useful. (yes it has crypto trading).

coinmarketcap that people repeat is just a list of altcoins, it has nothing more. you can find links to announcements, websites, and where they are traded but it is not helping with trading.

the term "shitcoins" comes from the fact that cryptocurrencies started on a massive scale with bitcoin and since it is open source anybody can copy its code and create his own. that means a lot of newbies did that and still do it, and end up with a very bad code that they have no understanding of. and that coin is being traded.
also some call altcoins that get pump and dumped a lot, are manipulated, have pre-mines, have some sort of scam like ICO, ... as "shitcoin".
the meaning is not really set in stone Wink

as for direction to buying, i say don't just jump in. start watching the market for a little bit, put all you read to work and see how successful you can be. then small with a small amount of money like 10-20 dollars and work your way up.

If OP is referring to a site something an analysis like the stock broker, i don't know yet, wherein the broker is making his/her forecasts. I think its better to do your own homework by reading ANN Section for more info and update for each coin here. Also, www.coinmarketcap.com is very informative site or resources for their graphic driven update and trading volume in the last 24 hours. It also ranks cryptocoins based on market capitalization.

for me theres is no best research website in crypto, because in the end all depends on coins and developers itself. And considering we have thousands of coins out there. How can they monitor all?, But most probably they just stick to top coins in coinmarketcap. In the end, the decision to invest is ours. But thanks to the effort of some cryptocurrency related websites. I also use cryptodetails.com for comparing coins, i like this site coz of its simplicity with the important links are there.

Lastly, thank you for the site that was the sort of thing I was looking for!

I was about to say google, until I actually read your post. So I'll put some effort.

The best research is your own research. Especially when dealing with cryptocurrency. It's considered volatile, but as years go by, the amount of growth in users becoming interested in cryptocurrency has increased a lot! Put yourself in the shoes of the cryptocurrency itself. Yes it sounds wierd but that's the best way. Look at its vision/mission. Do you believe in it? Is it in demand? Is it disruptive? Ask yourself questions like these. You see the word "shitcoin" everywhere because that's the term we use for certain cryptocurrencies that are still growing or they have there good days or bad days. Sometimes it has low volume and sometimes it's prone to pump and dumps. Take that information and make a term that revolves around that. Then you have big 5 coins, but everyone's is different. You have some with a proven track record of success, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero, and so on. Choose your big 5 coins and be passionate about them but don't trade with emotions. Many have the same motives and some have a unique and different motive. In terms of giving you a website, not sure that would be helpful. Keep track of Twitter, reddit, and bitcointalk announcements. Do your own due diligence, and prove to yourself that your money is important to you, just as much as profiting. I'm not a big fan of directing people to a site for that type of request, because many haven't proven themselves. If there was one that is worth noting, it's probably cryptonaire.com. They have proven the successful track record and gains. Most importantly, do your own research. I hope I was helpful and now you don't consider us as a "typical forum". Best of luck!
