I always used to install AVG... Altough one time, the AVG update broke the windows startup... Took me a lot of time to recover, but still, i like it Smiley

I have used different antivirus programs. I have used Avira, AVG, Nod32, Avast, Kaspersky.
Now I am using nod32 antivirus a long time and I am very happy with it. I recommend it to all my friends. I think that it is the best  Smiley

I use avast. Never tried any other anti-virus  So far everything is good when it comes to their security.
Same here i have avast in pc & Android, but i have also kaspersky in laptop which isn't free.
Avast is simple to use but to get more protection you need one of the paid version.
Used avg & norton years ago, not satisfied with both of them and for malwarebytes it isn't bad but I experienced many false positive with it.

Maybe this will help u. I have Panda AV  and malwarebytes on my comp and its good for now. And in the end why dont u go and visit your grandma she would love that for sure and u can do this little thing for her.

Best advice ever. You my friend have the post of the month and i can actually feel your good vibes thru the comp
This sounds like irony or its my imagination? I wrote first thing that falls on my mind.

Its AVG no doubt . If you are reminded to update to premium version, just uninstall it and when it says "sorry to see you go" ,switch to free version by clicking on "Free Version".

I am currently using the AVG antivirus on my computer . It is very useful for scanning the viruses on our computer. But it is not good as quickheal which is paid.

Avira is good antivirus but its not the best. After some times It detects virus in its own installed files and deletes them without any confirmation.
So if you are think of some decent antivirus program for your pc or laptop then you should go towards QUICKHEAL antivirus.

I think AVG free + malwarebytes is still the best. You can use remote desktop it is built in in most windows pc. Or you can create a program in AutoIT that will install this in one click.

So my grandmother (who lives very far from me) has a new comp and needs a really good anti virus program.
Normally i would physically install whatever a family member needs in person, but since she live so far away, she will be doing this over the phone.

Im asking the forum to let me know what the current BEST & FREE  AV program thats out there as of Oct 2015.
I will more than likely use TeamViewer to help her, but she cant seem to figure out how to use that program...... so it might be me trying to tell her what to do as she listens on her major static cordless phone  Grin

Any help will be greatly appreciated
