Google Sketchup has decent controls and allows you to do dimensioning with real-world units. It will even do architectural-style flythroughs.

If you mean modelling instead of "molding" or moulding? Then google sketchup is really easy to pick up and use. I tried autodesk's free 123d i think it is called.... but it crashed on me so i never touched it again. And it is hard to learn how to use from no experience.

Personally, I love OpenSCAD, but it really isn't for everyone.
