Just like the title says. I haven't been "in the loop" and up-to-date on the Bitcoin world as much as I'd like to be lately. I'm looking to see what's the most trusted exchange lately to deposit a little bit of BTC, trade some Altcoins, and withdraw some BTC again without having to worry about some shady exchange site that will try to take my money and run. Also don't want to mess with all of that KYC/AML regulations needing me to send in all of my private & personal info. like my Driver's License and Social Security Card. Only looking to start with like $20 worth of BTC, so nothing too crazy, but want it to be trusted and reputable enough that I could be playing with say $20,000 worth of BTC eventually and not worried about my coins disappearing or having problems withdrawing my coins.

Appreciate all help and advice, and if this isn't in the right spot of the forum please feel free to move it.

Thanks,
snarlpill
If you do not want to get KYC verified or do not want to expose your personal data you should stay with decentralized exchanges only and uniswap is the top one at the moment with highest volume but according to your requirements you can use traditional dexes as well.

As most of traders would suggest you should go with binance its secured with no kyc required and the fee is not that high plus they have an app and its easy to use and transactions don't take long.

I think top cryptocurrency exchange support deposit and withdrawal without kyc, exchange like Binance, Kucoin, MXC, Bithumb, probit all allow withdrawal but you are limited to amount of Btc in every 24 hours. Least I have seen is 2BTC,currently 1 Bitcoin is worth $19k, 2 of this should be okay for moving value from an exchanger to your personal wallet if you don't want to verify.
Please always ask support and help before you make deposits on an exchanger if they allow withdrawal without KYC. I once sent my tokens to Gate exchange and p2pb2b exchange but at the end my funds where confiscated because I couldn't verify. Please don't for this.

I would definitely say Binance. Although KYC is needed but it is not mandatory. And even if KYC would not be abided there is a huge limits in withdrawal of an account.

KYC is a mandatory rule in order to avoid money laundering crimes, through KYC of course the exchanger developer can verify users through their personal identity documents, if indeed KYC can aim to provide security for us as users and the market itself and can also minimize fake account accounts that can cause cyber crime, as well as avoiding the possibility of money laundering, of course KYC is not something we should avoid in my opinion and now it seems that almost all large exchangers require their users to do KYC and of course with certain provisions that apply to the exchanger.

i use binance and I have no problem with this exchange but the full potential of the exchange still requires KYC. in any case, you should understand that your money can disappear from the exchange at any time under various pretexts. This has happened to me before..

I prefer choosing Binance because I'm using it since 2017, Since that time in 2017, you can trade and withdraw any cryptocurrencies without having done any KYC with a minimum withdrawal limit of 2 BTC daily, for me that was a more user-friendly approach compared to other thriving cryptocurrency exchange today that using KYC issues to prevent you from withdrawing your own money without any warning in the first place so I can't say anymore but for me, Binance is the best and trusted exchange for trading altcoins with no KYC.

BNB is one of the best exchanges and had no issues till now and their KYC is not required unless you want to withdraw a big amount I would of 2 btc. So majority will fall under that criteria so it’s not a worry and also they do list the good coins on their exchange. User interface and less trading fees make this as one of the best choices.

So far I tried in this exchanges with no KYC , Binance, Kucoin, Digifinex, Bitforex but with limits up to 2 btc only depends on the exchanges you can also trade a lot of altcoins in Uniswap with NO KYC but fees is not likely.
Just limited withdrawing for Binance, Digifinex, Kucoin and Bitforex but still to be trade without KYC. I only KYC with binance exchange market because last few months my country support to withdraw assets from Binance to bank but not have stop working and disable to withdraw so I never try to KYC with other exchange account, I think is enough although have limited withdraw every day 2 btc because I just ttrade and withdraw under $500 every day or every week.

Many alternative exchange become recommended without have to pass KYC like Hotbit, probit, binanance, IDEX and many other exchange can you use to trade or withdraw your bitcoin assets, only for binance looks risk when get abnormal activities and you need to submit KYC if you wanna withdraw. Almost bigger exchange right now need KYC and not ability to trade or withdraw without pass KYC like Bittrex and have otehr exchange only available for their country to trade like Coinonne just for Korean trader and if you not from this country you can't sell coins there.

If you're looking for the top exchange, trusted, reputable, high volume, and without KYC, just go to Binance. you will not regret this. this is the best and you can make your deposit, trading (spot, future, margin, etc), holding, and also withdrawal easily without  KYC or AML in a certain amount.
There is also Kraken that is a good choice. But so far, I never use this exchange so that I do not really know about this. You may browse it and find the exact information.

Actually nowadays, KYC or AML is something that are dilemma whether we must give our personal identity to the platform in which we actually don't want to.

After reading all the comments above, I assume we all agree that Binance is the best option for trading altcoins.
Yep, I also agree with others since Binance is the number 1 exchange in the world. Binance proves it with its great performance till now. In addition, the volume of crypto coins/tokens in Binance looks bigger than in other exchanges. So, we can have various altcoins with big volumes there, which means many transactions as well in Binance. It is also necessary to consider if we want to trade altcoins on an exchange.

By the way, where is OP? I didn't see he replied to our comments.

Binance is a big exchange and it is perfect to trade altcoins on Binance. They have many pairs for altcoins and many types of trades. The exchange don't ask KYC if you don't want to withdraw more than 2 BTC each day.

Does it meet your demand?

https://www.binance.com/en
Fee: https://www.binance.com/en/fee/schedule

I would suggest the same. And if the OP wants to withdraw in BTC again, they have lower fee as compared to other exchanges. And no KYC below the daily max withdrawal of 2BTC. So far, my experience is great with this exchange. And you can't say anything about their liquidity as well. No wonder many people are suggesting this exchange. And don't forget that they have SAFU also, in case you want assurance of your funds.

binance is the best option right now, I think this is a good opportunity to be able to act on a large exchange without having to do KYC. and it seems that Binance also offers higher prices than other exchanges

I can recommend the binance exchange for this, a lot of people trust it, this is the top 1 cryptocurrency exchange in the world. And most importantly, with small trading volumes, you can not go through the KYC procedure. This is not necessary for the withdrawal.

...

You need to be prepared for the fact that the exchange will request verification if it finds your actions suspicious. I know many such examples that have been discussed on the forums and in specialized chat rooms. And this applies not only to the Binance exchange, as a rule, this point of the rules is provided for on all exchanges.

In my opinion, a good and trusted exchange if it requires users to KYC because it signifies the seriousness of an exchange in managing finances and also to detect someone who wants to steal assets on the exchange. As is the case in saving money in a bank which requires personal identity as a form of trust

In my opinion Unnamed Exchange, TradeOgre and FreiExchange these are the three best exchanges to trade without worrying about KYC or regulatory issues. In this case you can register in all of them and take the test to confirm. In relation to KYC it's interesting for large quantities but for normal quantities KYC can hinder and prevent fast business.

Here's my list

Binance
Kucoin
Bitmax

Those exchange sites will be giving you 2 BTC as your withdrawal limit for a new account that doesn't complete the KYC verification. You can still trade on those exchange sites without feeling worried about the KYC verification.
I have been using those sites since a few years ago and I never encounter any problem.

On top of my head is Binance, a lot of top altcoins but not all though, shitcoin are not their thing.

And then we have Bybit and Bitmex as well. But overall though, Binance still top everything, one of the best in the game right now, liquidity and trading volume is also very good.

So best of luck and happy trading.

I think binance & Kucoin & Gate.io exchange can easily solve your problem. By the way please don't lose your 2fa security key, bcs if you lose & contacted support team by email to disable it they will ask about KYC. So be aware kyc.

Yes, as a trader or investor, we must always be careful and keep the security key 2fa. Do not let us lose the security key. Suppose the security key 2fa is a mobile number, then do not let you lose your mobile phone. Because the support team will ask for your personal data and important documents when you report about the status of your locked account.

And when it talking about exchanges, there are many traders who use Binance as an exchange that do not require KYC. although Binance is not the only one, there are still Kucoin and other exchanges. There are many reasons a trader uses Binance as an exchange. One of them is binance always tops the list as the exchange platform with the highest daily volume. And beat nearly 225 other exchange platforms. This proves binance to be the most popular exchange platform for cryptocurrency buying and selling transactions.

Binance will be the best choice for you to trading altcoin without filling KYC. But you need to agree with the rules that you will get limitations no withdrawal amount. If you want to withdraw more than 2 bitcoin, you need to do KYC, but I see that you don't like to do KYC, so you need to satisfy with the amount of withdrawal. Binance is a good place to trade, even for beginner because they can see that binance have a big list of the altcoin, and they can select one or two coins to trade.

You can use defi exchanges like Uniswap which doesn't require any KYC. Most centralized exchanges don't require any kyc either but only upto a certain amount. There are too many exchanges to choose from really.
Uniswap is a bad recommendation right now because of high transaction fee, it's more convenient to use binance exchange for trading and withdrawal, mind you can you really trade on Uniswap? That's not called trading it's just a swapping mechanism as you won't be able to trace charts and token movements, this is only possible on Centralized exchanges

DEX would have been the perfect choice but you can't trade on DEX, you can only instaswap coins and tokens, CEX is still the best place for trading altcoins, presently binance and Okex or kucoin allows non verified users to trade and withdraw but I advice KYC because sooner or later the SEC might force all Centralized exchanges to abandon non verified users

Binance and Kucoin is the only exchange I know that is good yet doesn't require any KYC, just email or number verification. It's probably not the best BUT they are user friendly that will definitely make your experience easier compared to other exchanges. They also have mobile app that you can use.

most major exchanges do not enforce email verification for large withdrawals. like Binance, which limits 2 bitcoin transactions per day for members who don't kyc. not just binance, but kucoin, hotbit, okex, or any other major exchange. personally i would choose binance for this.
most of exchanges provide 2bitcoin for daily limit, and for retail traders like us maybe its enough . if its enough , just create another account to add our limit so we still keep our personal information. as i know , exchange that request KYC for each transaction was P2PB2B , with low trading volume its not worth to give them our data.

I think most of the exchange no matter how popular it is such as binance, houbi, kucoin, cointiger, and etc., does not required KYC procedure if you are just making a trade and withdraw a small amount of crypto. I think KYC process is only for a those who wanted to withdraw a bigger amount of crypto which is only to verify the transaction is legit or not.

You don't have to go through any KYC verifications to trade and withdraw on some top exchanges like binance, huobi, bithumb, kucoin, hoo, Okex, the only let down is there are limits on withdrawal in every 24hrs, binance non verified users can withdraw up to 2btc only

Have said above i will second that Binance is still the Best for any coin specially if you are not exceeding 2 bitcoin worth KYC was not require and you can just always maintain that  amount of transaction for you to remain private.

I use binance for trading and as long as my gains are lower then i can Buy and withdraw constantly.

But In crypto if you become a High gainer then better use KYC for your funds security.

Like another user already said, binance is the biggest and best exchange in the crypto industry right now and as such, is the best place to trade bitcoin and altcoins if you know how to day trade, but then, they require you pass kyc if you are going to be withdrawing high amount of USD in every 24 hours.

But if you are head bent on finding an exchange that does not ask you to pass kyc no matter the amount of money you want to withdraw, then am sorry but you might end up with a shitty exchange with no volume and liquidity to even allow you trade effectively, so I personally advice you go for binance, it's the best place for day traders to trade.
