I'm in the newbie forum for a reason, sometimes hearing opinions from miners is less confusing that's all.

Wow see how no one bitched at the guy for asking such a retardely simple question, that's exactly how it should be.

Stop being gay bitches on the internet people.
I don't remember people bitching at you when you asked solar questions either. This is the newbies' forum.

WTF are you talking about, people keep bitching around here, it's literally the noob forums and people keep bitching.

Irony.

All paid signature campaigns should be banned.
Technically, since about 1998, 1 giga = 1000 mega of anything and 1 gibi = 1024 mebi of anything although some people still use mega and giga when they should be using mebi and gibi...

See NIST definition:  http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Units/binary.html

So 1 gigahash/second = 1000 megahashes/second and 1 gibihash/second = 1024 mebihashes/second

Also note that 1 mebihash/second = 1,048,576 hashes/second and 1 megahash/second = 1,000,000 hashes/second.

Should either be 1000MH = 1 GH or 1024 MH = 1GH. I think it's the first one probably.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SI_prefix

1000 mega (anything) = 1 Giga (anything)*

* Yes binary is different but doesn't apply here and should properly use a different prefix.
