Of course the signature campaign will stop. Why would they keep paying money to advertise a service that doesn't exist anymore?

The campaign thread managed by Lauda is already locked. Some people reported that they received their payments this last few days. Not sure about the other users.

Lauda, she was worked exponential by managing this and tracking high number of people in SMAS list for forum's goodness. I personally, worry about Bitmixer's closing statement by team. They are one bestest bitcoin mixers who have been done great job. Cryptomixers and others wasn't compete it that much with them.

Could it be linked to BTC-e takedown and the arrest of the operator?

Main charge is money laundering, Bitmixer could be connected to BTC-e or even operated by the same people.
We don't know if they are connected to bitmixer they are different business..
I am thinking that bitmixer got many reports or they got receive some email from FBI about their business that actually treating anonymous mixer and use by illegal. so they are get any report that they need to close their business.

According to this post:

For some reason, out of nowhere, they decide to stop the website, so this means the signature campaign is over too? will they pay the current period? whats going on?

Why it is so important to you considering you have just a "member" rank and the Bitmixer was only accepting members with a minimum of "Sr Member". There is no "current period" as the signature campaign closed some day ago logically as Bitmixer business is over. We have been paid  correctly of course. If some members have a few posts not paid because their week was not complete before the end of th campaign, consider it lost
Maybe he is one of the alt account user and he was afraid of not getting the bitmixer campaign week post..
this is i think the reason that i can see as his message..

that happened a few days after.

the wording of the operator's final statement is very strange. he could either be under duress or trying to make a point of some sort.

either way it's done and dusted.

It's possible but unlikely, why they would take Bitmixer down? to hide their tracks? It's impossible for them to know that the owner will get arrested so It won't make sense but BTC-E case will definitely reveal a lot of secrets I'm sure. It's already all over the news sites, It seems like the owner was the one who actually hacked Mt.gox and made BTC-E exchange to hide his tracks. Who would've thought?

Remember one thing in Crypto world, anything is possible here. The great Satoshi Nakamoto may be my neighbour. Its sad to see Bitmixer go, because they were providing the best service in the market but its their decision and everyone has to agree with it. The signature campaign was running from a long long time and I think most of the participants will not be bothered about a week's payment.

Why bothering the signature campaign of Bitmixer while you're not one of their members, since you're rank is still member unless if... Roll Eyes
But anyways once a company closed, all the related services they offer will also close, obviously. So just let the company do their task since there are rumors that some of this signature participants don't receive payment yet and again you're not member there then let them fix what they must do.
