I think bitcoin.com is a pishing site.

If you write bitcoin.com, it will be changed to bitcoin.org(at least happened in the past)
How is it a phishing site? Huh  It's owned by Roger Ver.  it's pretty much the same as this forum, but a lot more quiet Tongue

I tried to sign up a few times, but it never once sent me the confirmation email. Sad
I don't think they send the email to you right after you sign up.
It took around 10 hours after I registered for the confirmation email to arrive.

Interesting. I've waited a number of days now, and still nothing, not even in my spam box... It's ok, I would rather play here. Wink
confirmation email got almost instant Smiley

I am wondering who owns the copyright to use bitcoin? I think only a copyright owner has right to use first domain name

I don't believe the forum will last very long simply because there is no need for it right now. There is more than enough on this forum for the Bitcoin community, the only thing I can think it would win on is up time.

I signed up, and it worked fine for me.
A lot less traffic than bitcointalk which is to be expected since it's new. But in the longrun I think it will become more popular, since it is bitcoin.com.  This is where newbies will flock to, I'm speculating.

Don't think that forum will last very long, especially once they stop rewarding people for the best thread/post. It's basically like advertising since these rewards have the purpose of attracting people.

It's just a forum that mirrors the sections of Bitcointalk. So we have a number of people from Bitcointalk that registered on a forum that mimicks this one, so it probably won't last for long. Most of them probably registered just so they can take the username they use here.

A few also used usernames of trusted members here, for scamming purposes. Hopefully the forum won't last long.
I'm pretty sure that several trusted members have actually registered there. I suppose that any trade done with anyone who claims is a trusted member here should always have a signed message from them that proves their identity. I know that most escrows use pgp signed messages to prove their identity, and I think they will do the same on that forum as well.

Is it affiliated with bitcointalk.org?

No. forum.bitcoin.com is created by Roger Ver, and it's just another Bitcoin forum. That website is in no way affiliated with bitcointalk.org

I'm getting a website there they show it as a LLC in the legal - https://www.bitcoin.com/legal

So not quite sure what their website is really meant for.   On exchanges and wallet it appears they likely got paid to promote a certain product over other choices looking at site.

Is it affiliated with bitcointalk.org? The topics and sections are exact copies of this site. Are the sites merging? I created an account, but wasn't sure if there was supposed to be a connection between the two sites or if they are completely separate.
