The most disgusting thing I have ever eaten is the jellyfish. I once went to eat seafood. My friend ordered a large table of seafood. I think the jellyfish was fried with sauerkraut. It was delicious. I like to eat sauerkraut. I asked my friend what makes this fried taste so good. My friend said it was a jellyfish. I was so scared that I went to the toilet and vomited. Thinking of the disgusting appearance of the centipede, I feel like vomiting now.

Has anyone ever eaten a hairy egg? It is a chicken that hasn't come out of its shell. It has already formed. This is the most unpalatable one I have ever eaten. I vomited without swallowing it.
Heard of that and the chick is still there which you have to eat? I cannot eat that.

Surstromming. today, I finally remembered the horror once dominated by canned herring, and the scene of my crazy vomiting Embarrassed
Jeez!

I don't know if I can eat that but basically I unnoticely eat ants with my food that's left on the table. But bbqed bugs, that's really one of the most odd food that you can eat.

The most disgusting food I have ever eaten is raw eggs. My friend heard that eating raw eggs is good for the body some time ago, so he recommended me to try it. I swear this is definitely the most disgusting food. It has a sticky texture, and I feel my throat is going to be stuck. It smells very fishy, and I vomited after the first bite.

I don't think I can tolerate fat in my whole life. Even if the chopsticks touch the fat while eating, I can't bear it. I have to change a pair of chopsticks. My mother said that when I was young, I would vomit whenever I ate fat. My mother also said that I will be better when I grow up, but in fact I am now 20 years old and I still can't stand it.

I have eatten "Balut" in Philippines. It's basically an egg with grown chicken inside.
Im a filipino but I dont like balut. I tried to eat this before but I cant swallow knowing that there's a small creature in it. Dont get me wrong balut is a delicious and popular food here, its just that I dont like it.

I’ve got to say - I’m NEVER going to even try that. I’ve seen people eating it and it’s a big no from me !

Country chicken - honestly I don't like that and its healthy but taste is not better compared to the normal chicken.

I can vouch for Durian -  I didn't even ate it but that smell itself made me in that way.

One of the worst food I ate was dried octopus in Japan. Apparently we tried it first when being on a night out and "really liked it" - can't remember anything because I was completely drunk. But on the next day our Japanese friend brought a hole package of these octopus strings. I tried one again and couldn't eat it - so intense and just wrong taste.

I didn't eat (yet? Smiley ) shrimp heads, but I can tell you the following: first time when I ate shrimps I didn't know that I'm not supposed to eat the shell too. So I was in Crete, at a sea taverne and I ordered shrimps. Someone taught me how to take the shrimp's body out of it shell. I did that with all the shrimps from my plate, I ate them all, then I ate the shells as well. At that time they seemd tasty and crunchy Smiley

Oh, and speaking of spicy animal heads, you may (not) want to check out this awesome recipe I found while asking Google if I'm in the minority for believing that crustaceans have no inedible parts:

I'll take some of those with a side of fried liver! Speaking of which, does fried liver qualify? Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one carnivorous enough to actually like it. Undecided

I love livers! And not just fried, but also in various dishes Smiley Speaking of which, let me describe you a Romanian custom regarding the sacrifice of pigs at Christmas Smiley This is for real and I advise that those sensible to not read the following.

The text is a translation of a Romanian blog article, which I found around 2006 or so. I'll translate this one, in order to not forget something important. I participated at this process many times before, but it's possible to forget some details, therefore I'm following that article. It is written in a sort of funny manner, but please remember that all the following procedures are true.

"The letter of a Romanian living in US

As I was feeling melancholic and I was missing home, it crossed my mind to kill a pig on Christmas, as it was the custom at my village back at home. Actually, my parents didn't sacrifice it on Christmas, but on St. Andrew (Nov. 30th) as we couldn't wait anymore because we usually didn't have too much food anymore at those times, thus we couldn't spare the pig until Christmas.

After I sharpened my knives on the floor tiles from the bathroom, I bought two straw roles (ornamental ones), which were left forgotten by a neighbor in front of his house from Halloween, then I started to look for a pig. At first, I posted on Internet that I'm looking for buying a medium sized pig (max 150 kg) in order to sacrifice it, but nobody replied, excepting a mental disoriented guy, which told me that he likes my ideas and if I'm interested, we can sacrifice many more together!

I think all the lunatics ran away from mental institutions and hid on the Internet! But that's offtopic now!

When I asked the colleagues from work where I could find a living pig, they became very curious - what do I want to do with it... some said it's too big for a pet, that it makes a lot of mess etc.

When I told them I want to kill it, their eyes popped out of their heads and they asked me why I would do that. To eat it, that's why!, but at that moment I saw gone from their looks all the rests of empathy, tolerance and understanding. How can you kiill an animal and eat it like a barbarian?

Well, when I saw they were almost calling the Animals Protection, I started to describe in detail all the specific operations, emphasizing on cutting the jugular and collecting the blood inside a bowl, eventually one which has its varnish broken, as I used to do back at my mom's home, in order to have the ingredients for preparing the blood sausage (sângerete) and a (literally) bloody pudding (borândău). I didn't know how to tell translate for them borândău in English, as I didn't know very well even in Romanian what it actually is, but I explained them it is a sort of polenta prepared from corn flour and with blood instead of water.

At this point, I believe that 3 of my colleagues, maybe more sensible than others, went to the bathroom. The rest of them (as now the entire department was around me) were looking at me with mercy, but also with disgust. Afterwards, I continued, we burn the pig's skin with the straws, if we live at a house, or with a gas tank, if we live in an apartments building, and we cut the animal's ears and we're eating them on the spot, with some salt placed on them.

That was it, I sent two more of them to the bathroom, but I went on, being aware that I'll never have any other such chance, to be listened so carefully by all my colleagues. So after we shave the animal using the fire, I continued, we cut it open with an axe or a hatchet, whatever comes at hand, and we take the organs out, then we boil them, together with its head, in order to prepare the caltaboș - a sort of thick chorizo. You all know, I believe - I told them nonchalantly - that for caltaboș the large intestine is used, optionally washed, and boiled in water with onion for masking the natural stink.

After this phrase, an entire group left the premises. And there we were, I and three others, which were less sensible and which had a less sensible stomachs. Actually, there were just two, as the third one was a Korean which didn't understand English at all, staying all day long with headphones over his ears, but which was joining any group, nodding at any discussion.

With what's left of the meat, I continued, we make sausages, barbeque and sarmale (n.r. a sort of meat rolls covered in cabbage), and if the deceased was fat, we can prepare also some greaves, for our appetite, as they go hand in hand with the booze.

In the end, I think my colleagues should be thankful, because if I would have explained them how hot dogs and the thick, rosy sausages are prepared - the stuff they eat at lunch - maybe the entire company would have to go to a hospital afterwards.

Long live the globalization!"

McDonald's burgers, I've never tried the shakes. They seem to include additives to make you feel hungry, and to stimulate the pleasure zones artificially. They also use ultra-processed foods, and you can see the effects they have by looking at the width of many of the staff and customers.

For me, any meat is repulsive, that includes chicken lmao. I eat it very less often because the smell of meat and fish repulses me a lot. But the most disgusting I've ever eaten with my friends would be a mutton burger in a local restaurant and that day the restaurant didn't have many customers, ordered a burger and then they said they are making it. And after I had a bite I was disgusted because they didn't even cook the meat properly and it felt like I was chewing on raw meat. I immediately entered the bathroom and puked it all out. Complained to the restaurant and had a verbal fight!

Why didn't you just return it to the kitchen and tell them its undercooked? They'd either comp or recook since it's their mistake.

I came across this interesting museum in Malmo, Sweden, which exhibits the most disgusting (for some , delicious for others) foods from cultures across the world .

https://disgustingfoodmuseum.com/

Some of the delicacies include:
- Surstromming - fermented herring from Sweden
- Casu Marzu- maggot infested cheese
- Spicy rabbit heads

There is also a temporary 3 month exhibit showcasing some of the worlds most disgusting alcoholic drinks.
Including:
- South Korean faecal wine
- Icelandic sheep dung smoked whale testical beer.

I was wondering if anyone has visited the museum and/or what’s the most disgusting thing you’ve eaten or drunk ?

Personally I’ve tried
-Durian - very stinky fruit
-Crickets - once only
-Snake blood
