Almost all new alt-coins comming out lately are 99.9% copies of LTC.
We have so many miners mining those coins atm because everyone thinks they can make a quick buck.

yeah these alt-coin creators don't really care about creating a new currency, they just want to make money.

I think this can be applied to most alt coins.

Definitely. Crypto-currency is seemingly becoming a trend with many alt currencies being pointless

That's very sad actually, because the concept is great. But we are just dicking around with it.

Do people really think that naming it after a country will create popularity in that country? It seems to be so pointless. Let's start Zimbabwecoin in that case. Every Zimbabwecoin you mine will be worth 1.000.000 Zimbabwecoin within a year.

We have to stop making clones of Bitcoin/Litecoin and actually start developing a currency that fixes all issues Bitcoin and Litecoin have. Otherwise cryptocurrencies will stay a game of speculators and miners, not of merchants and customers.
