Bitcoin's contribution means sharing what they have with others but doing it for others is something new and depends on who has shared it. They want their friends to experience what they also experience.

i think because bitcoin is more suitable for investment than for donations
rather than donating people prefer to hold their bitcoin
so i think it's better to donate using other altcoins because the altcoin price is more stable
because we believe in the future of bitcoin
Of course believe in the future of bitcoin, most do. and you are right about altcoin- altcoin is better to donate while bitcoin is better for holding

and why do you think altcoins are better to donate?
for example when donating to a charity, they only accept USD, you can not go there and donate Zimbabwe currency! because they don't accept it and they don't want the headache of currency conversion. when it comes to altcoins it becomes even more complicated since they also have to be running a wallet for that altcoin to be able to receive donations which they won't because it will cost more to run it than they may even get donations in that altcoin.

It seems to me there is no difference in what people are asking for donations. If it is convenient for people to receive donations in crypto - then why not?

I don't think so that there is a actual bitcoin donation, because as far as I know bitcoin is only for technology since it is a digital currency. So it means that cash is the best way to physically offering or donating but not bitcoin because it already converted into fiat.

There are still people donating Bitcoin. At least I do. The fact that people donate only altcoins is because (I suppose) they agree to donate but they don't want to spend a lot with the fees. Despite the fact, the fees are pretty low. People are blocked to the time when it was costing a lot to sent BTC. This is also the main reason, projects started to accept altcoins.

For regular Bitcoin users, donating money in bitcoin is incredibly easy. Much easier than donating using a CC or Paypal.
Plus, many Bitcoin users are enthusiast enough about the cryptocurrency that the fact that a charity accepts Bitcoin will be an incentive to donate in itself. By donating bitcoin to a charity, you are both supporting the charity and supporting Bitcoin, and that's something many Bitcoin users are keen on.

If you are physically with someone, regular cash is usually best. But Bitcoin is easier than credit cards. (If you already have Bitcoin). You don't have to fill in forms or give your credit card to anyone.
You can avoid capital gains tax.

these days people have a lot of useless shitcoins in their wallets like ethereum so they can throw them away much easier than throwing away the valuable bitcoin that is why they donate ethereum, dogecoin,... more than they donate bitcoin. they want to keep the valuable and give away the useless Wink

I think this is also the reason for the massive fall of ethereum in today's many traders who are also affected because of the huge price dropped by ethereum today and 50% of their ethereum funds have been lost because of its price drop.

What's the point of any donations? Many people do donate bitcoin. Just because you don't doesn't mean nobody else does. I think donating money in general is rare these days though, because most people don't want to give their hard earned cash (or coins) away, but I see a fair few youtubers with crypto addresses in their descriptions boxes and if you check the addresses oftentimes they will have been sent something. I think women tend to get more donations than men though (and that's usually the case with online donations), but fans of bitcoin do tend to show their appreciation of other people also accepting it and send some money their way. Even if no money is actually donated then I still think having the donation addresses there spreads awareness or interest so it's all good.

The same reason as any other donation. Not everyone just speculates with bitcoin either. I personally do hold more bitcoins than I spend, but I like to make a few purchases every now and again. I've never donated any bitcoins though, but that's because I rarely donate to anything, and I value my money.

I have also donated some of my cryptocurrency in my early days and that really increased many people to learn more about cryptocurrency. I don't think that Bitcoin donations should be considered income, but I know that there is a world with cruel business plans, but donations are intended to support beginners because they encourage them and that shows them that Bitcoin really has value

Bitcoin donations are the same way as any other donations, accepted only in the purpose of raising money for the thing that you are contributing in the Global welfare, or just some useful tips that you are giving, whatever you are doing well.

Donations are closely linked to the Bitcoin price. You will see as soon as the Bitcoin price increase, sites will switch or add Bitcoin donations, because people are more likely to donate something that increased in value. The volatility in some of these Alt coins is much higher than with Bitcoin, so when speculators in Alt coins double or triple their coins value, they would be more willing to donate some.  Roll Eyes

i think its just a matter of time, till the public will take the bitcoin sect to justice.

when the us dollar dies, people wont calculate their contracts in bitcoins, or their work, like they did with us dollar,

then altcoins will have completely different evaluation,

it will be then an important moment, when the pow nonsense starts to disappear again

Donating points of Bitcoin means sharing what they have to others but doing it for others is something new and depend to someone who gave and share. Maybe they share because they knew that person and they also want to help in order for them to earn also. They want that his/her friend experience what they also experience. What matter most is that all the blessigs they have shared are comes from their heart.

What do you mean? Pretty much every cryptocurrency that's in existence today is mostly speculation. Bitcoin is still most likely the most donated coin, as most sites that accepts donations in crypto accepts bitcoin only and bitcoin still has the most adoption, even compared to all the other cryptocurrencies combined.

In the current situation, I believe that btc is a very promising cryptocurrency that people has to value more than the altcoins because it will continue to further grow and certainly not a cryptocurrency that should be donated instead people are holding it for good. For those investors of alternative coins, they will have to donate those coins they think that has a very low chance to improve in it's market value.

its mostley ethereum or waves plattform token that are being donated.
