I lost too much money due to this btc dip, What is the reason of this dip? Will it recover soon?

Please everyone here losses money not just in the current dip. The main question is how are you going to face it, you just sold everything and take the losses or just waited it out since bitcoin has a track record to recover?

Right now it looks like the dip is over because we have been seeing gains in the last couple of days. So if you just decided to push the sell button during the crisis, then you make the wrong decision. But if you did hold, then more patience is needed and wait till bitcoin fully recover and reach all-time-high.

For the reasons, its all over the forum, social media and other crypto websites. Government regulation is one, then FUD's by those people from behind who wants to pull the price so that they can bought it at a discount. That's how the market works since day 1, so don't be surprise but be prepared.

That was because of those FUD (Korea, India, Tether, banks media) and also market correction.

The result is always the same with the panic sellers. I already called it the "domino effect" of cryptocurrencies. Most newbies are too scared always.

I use the Bitcoin dip to buy more. The performance of Bitcoin is still good and my prediction is $ 35.000 at the end of 2018.

In my opinion, there are a whole bunch of greedy people in crypto. Look at what happened with the FORKS. I would say they are good signs of greed !!! People can blame news media and governments and so on. But we have to remember they are all people. Who can stop them from being greedy. I learned that quick since day 1, I invested here, so far I have not experienced much bad things in crypto. I suggest you to do your own due diligence. do your home work before investing. some coins are inferior and not much publicity yet produce profits. Some coins are just greedy pumpy and dumpy and most people invest there, and that can make investors grumpy in the end Smiley

First of all bitcoin was bleeding due to stock markets crash to historical deep of last 9 years. But now we see a steady growth and there is no reason to bleed again, maybe china holidays only.
Bitcoin is just taking rest. It is in the nature of all digital currencies, they increase they decrease. This is why they are said to have a fluctuation nature and among all of them, bitcoin is the most volatile one.It will increase and decrease at unexpected times to unexpected value. But there are times when a downfall is expected, especially when there are holidays coming. Digital market is really affected when big whales make a move. This is what happened this time also.

Because many countries are banning bitcoin such as China which led to the decrease of the bitcoin price and now India. The governments are trying so hard to destroy the cryptocurrencies because they deem it to be a threat to their economy system. Cryptocurrencies are facing a big crisis.

As a matter of fact, these two countries are over-populated. That is why we saw a huge decline in the price. However, I am optimistic about bitcoin regaining 10k$ again because people who are supporting it will never let it die.
China incident is now an ancient history. Bitcoin flourished a lot after what China did to it. India is not that effecting country. On contrary to this, we also have many countries like Japan that are supporting bitcoin and other digital currencies.

The present dip is not a new thing. Soon within this year, bitcoin will rise again and so will altcoins. All we need to do is hold on our digital assets at the present moment and let the storm pass by.

Bitcoin is now bleeding because of some factors. People sell their btc to buy things, and big occations are the best time to do that. And the other reason is might be the banning of it in some country. People with weak hands are the most affected in this so they immediately do panic selling. Which is wrong. This big drop is not new, so lets just hope and pray bitcoin will recover again. For the mean time lets just take this as a chance to buy more btc. Then hold and make profit when the value is high.

Yes, In some countries, the price may fall because of the ban on Bitcoin. But such events are common in the market. It will take weeks to solve these problems.

The cryptocurrency market dip every year before Chinese New Year. Maybe it's because people are selling their coins to celebrate the occasion? Cryptocurrency is a long term investment, do not treat it like a "Get Rich Quick" scheme or you'll lose money.

Maybe it will take some time before we will recover but I think that we will go sidewards soon. After that we will rise up again but before that we need to shake out the week hands that dont believe in BTC anymore.

I lost too much money due to this btc dip, What is the reason of this dip? Will it recover soon?

The reason for this fall is very simple and you probably already know what is happening. Whales want to cash in at low prices. There are many ppl which believe in the crypto collapse. As for me this correction was obvious and there is no any reason to panic now.

I think this crash was planned and orchestrated, many things came together and created this perfect storm:

- The mid January (Asian New Years) sell off.

- CMC removing Korea without announcement.

- Whales dumping and weak hands jumping in.

- The mainstream media (and even Cointelegraph and others) writing fake news FUD articles every other day (whenever it went up a little). So many fake news articles: Korea bans Crypto, India bans crypto, the list goes on.

- Tether FUD. What happened to innocent until proven guilty? People just assumed that they are scammers. The reserve banks of the world print unlimited money and pump it into the economy, stock market etc. But Tether is the BIG problem?

- The 100 richest Bitcoin adresses have increased and not decreased their holdings during the last four weeks.

For me the reason why bitcoin is bleeding it that too many negative feedback on how it get to a very high value in just short period of time. Its been called as a speculative bubble which really give a bad impression on it. But i have faith that this downfall will cause an even bigger comeback in the near future. So just hold on guys dont panic and let us support to make it more bigger.

I lost too much money due to this btc dip, What is the reason of this dip? Will it recover soon?

There are many reasons for this dip to occur like Starting of Futures segment for the bitcoin and the recent main reason for this dip is banning of bitcoin ads and other cryptocurrency ads on the Facebook website and other thing is banning of bitcoin from the Major country like India which initiated some big red spikes on the bitcoin price charts. I think this time the trend and momentum towards the bearish is more than previous dips and even myself thinking not to buy the bitcoin for now. We will be waiting for some good bullish sign for buying the bitcoin stakes and then we will add the bitcoin if the uptrend continues with big volatility and good momentum in action.

As far as I know, India has banned cryptopcurrency. So the market goes down. In addition there are some other items related to USDT

I am not sure why everyone is saying India has banned crypto. Everyone I know in India is still trading crypto and will do so. India banned cryptocurrency use for illegal activities like sex trafficking, guns, terrorism etc. The amount of FUD going on by fake news is insane.

And that's why coins are dipping so hard. These news injects fear to investors, making them to sell their positions like mad people.

normal correction, as well as many times before

But it did not happen to this low price before.

please research before writing Sad

📉 - 94% June-November 2011 from $32 to $2 because of MtGox hack
📉 - 36% June 2012 from $7 to $4 Linod hack
📉 - 79% April 2013 from $266 to $54. MTGox stopped trading
📉 - 87% from $1166 to $170 November 2013 to January 2015
📉 - 49% Feb 2014 MTGox tanks
📉 - 40% September 2017 from $5000 to $2972 China ban
📉 - 55% January 2018 Bitcoin ban FUD. from $19000 to 8500

This time the fall is for real. My inside sources say G20 summit will bring the worst for crypto and will end it.

Bernanke and Soros personally told me its all FUD, and tomorrow I'll speak with some people
from JP Morgan and some other inside sources, but I'm pretty sure they'll all confirm its just a FUD, too

JPM is a big scam itself. They will con the innocent people like you and make you believe. They will make money but ultimate losers will be innocent people.

How One Man Caused The Prices Of Cryptocurrencies To Plummet
31 year old Brandon Chez
The creator of coinmarketcap.com (The most interesting) has been held responsible for this recent drop. The developer launched his site years ago in 2013, and it has been designed to tract the changing value of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, by combining data from other exchanges. As virtual currencies became more popular, his website quickly became one of the most popular in the world.

I lost too much money due to this btc dip, What is the reason of this dip? Will it recover soon?
In my own perspective, I think it is just fair for Bitcoin to drop because of its volatility. Bitcoins price will go up again after some time, just be patient and You'll see that the price will skyrocket again. I think the drop happened because the value of Bitcoin has reached high volumes and it has skyrocketed by more than 50% of its current price in 2017. The drop is just a repercussion of the sky-high price of Bitcoin in 2017, the price will return to its normal state sometime this year. Although You have to be patient and hold You Bitcoins if You want to return the value You have invested.
I agree with you ! I Thinkwe nee to keepnout faith in bitcoin whenever there come a challenge like this. Bitcoin come to a monster fall down with any clear reason. And because of it we all loss money, but have a patience to hold your bitcoin  someday it will recover and back to the $19,000 last december 2017. It just need to resolve some issues.

These kind of dips is very common in crypto currency because of its high volatility. But this will also pass, I am not sure how many times different government created FUD that caused coins value to dip but it survived it all! Better stop looking at your portfolio if you don't intend to buy more on this kind of sale. Come back by March, there's speculations that the first quarter will be very bloody.

I think FUDs lead the bleeding of bitcoins but ofcourse some of news roaming around can be true and this cause the markets down. Remember that bitcoin is not a short investment rather it is for long term investment and we should be aware of that. So it's better to hodl for months and wait for the huge pumps that will happen.

US regulators today subpoenaed one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges as questions mount over a digital token called Tether.
A popular substitute for US dollars on various crypto exchanges, Tether provided an easy way for investors to ride out storms in volatile markets without removing money from the marketplace and converting it back to fiat currency. Its value, however, was due to its reported ties to the US dollar with each Tether token (USDT) being worth exactly one dollar.
As of last week that all changed. Bitfinex, Tether’s creator, severed ties with its auditing firm Friedman LLP, a company retained to ensure each USDT was indeed backed by a US dollar. Bitfinex confirmed the dissolution of the partnership in a statement:
We confirm that the relationship with Friedman is dissolved.  Given the excruciatingly detailed procedures Friedman was undertaking for the relatively simple balance sheet of Tether, it became clear that an audit would be unattainable in a reasonable time frame. As Tether is the first company in the space to undergo this process and pursue this level of transparency, there is no precedent set to guide the process nor any benchmark against which to measure its success
Without an auditing body, USDT broke parity with the US dollar shortly after the announcement, trading for the equivalent of 97 cents. Now, the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission wants a closer look at the token, its partnership with Bitfinex, and if each is indeed backed by fiat currency.

For all reasons listed above yes but also because naturally Bitcoin couldn't always go up people. It naturally had to come back down some and that happened to happen in January. Yes there were some other factors but don't forget the natural aspect of it!

Indian FUD
Korean FUD
Tether Drama.
Bad news like a snowball.

We can not grow forever.

We can grow and will grow. You do realize that less than 1% of world is invested in crypto. That is nothing compared to stocks where like 30% of population is invested in.

I Hope so.

There are some bad news from India. and tether and bifitnex exchanges are being investigated and appearing in court. That's some reason I know for this bleeding

There was no bad news from India. They just said that they will ban crypto trading for illegal activities. Plus they do not recognize it is as legal tender. That means that they will not regulate it i.e. no taxes, no FDIC etc etc. That being said it is clear that there is some manipulation going on and all bad news coming in the last few weeks has shown us a few things

1. Never invest in anything that booms. Wait for markets to stabilize
2. Newer investors who came in for a quick moon lambo are the reason why this bubble got created and when they encountered a loss the bubble popped
3. Whales have more power in manipulating prices. I will not be surprised if they can manipulate media too.
4. Seasoned investors should know the timing on when to buy and sell. A good time to sell is Dec and good time to buy is Feb
5. For those who invested 3 months or before are still seeing a profit. This means we are still holding strong. We just have to be more prepared. Newcomers need to wait for 6+ months to see gains or even break even. The market is still bullish. A lot of coins are still coming out with good news and partnerships

Its a matter of time till we see some bullish trend. Till then HODL strong

I lost too much money due to this btc dip, What is the reason of this dip? Will it recover soon?

FUDers. Wink

Whales are accumulating, just watch the trade amount.  As soon as they got their fill, watch it skyrocket to a new ATH.

Remember the JPMorgan FUD late last year?  They bought hundreds of millions worth of BTC at a discount shortly after that.  Same is happening now, businesses are poised to use crypto and they are investing but at low price.  With enough money, you can manipulate the market and make money off weak handed investors.  Sad fact or life.

HODL!!!

I think ATH will come in much later. Right now the market is shedding off new scared investors and weaker hands from Asia.

The main reason for this dip is overblown market and rapid hammering by governments and media. I think a lot of new investors came in wishing to make quick money. On the other hand media and governments colluded to time all the FUD news in the last few weeks. While none of believe that this will be the end, I think we were ought to see a huge correction. If you are a new investor, the right time is either buy now or wait till Feb 6th to see what SEC and CFTC hearing says. Be ready for another dip if media exaggerates !!

It was a bubble that burst.  It happens all the time.  It will probably head back down to the $4000 range and then go back up to an all time high.

In an unregulated market, this is normal.

There are so many reasons why bitcoin is dropping. Like some countries are banning cryptocurrency, fake news about bitcoin and i think a group of billionaires are controlling the value of bitcoin.

I though that the price is stable at the level of $15k or above.

lol to be stable above a price we need to test that price as support MANY MANY times, right now we are testing 8k as new support. We will need to touch the 8k support line a few times before moving into a new up trend.

Check out previous market cycles for an idea of what is to play out, or don't and just hold your coins. 1 btc = 1 btc always.

FUDers.

Its because of India's stance on crypto. More countries to follow. It is end of crypto. The people who said it will not have any affect on the market are dreamers.

India alone won't fuck BTC price like this. There is something bigger before this dip.
