Sometimes I try two or three times within a minute and finally get in.
same thing here:
yesterday: site down - couldn't log in
today: it was fine
So, I don't think it's a scam. Just not prepared for the huge demand in accounts / transactions.

I have been able to login yesterday, but today the site is down.
Mybitcoin has been around for ages. It was one of the very first bitcoin businesses.
I don't think it's a scam. It's more likely that they have been overwhelmed by the rapid growth of users in the past month.

I put some BTC I mined into an account there and I have not been able to login for almost a week now. There are no contact details at the site besides a link that requires you to log in in the first place! It keeps saying down for maintenance but this is getting ridiculous.
