The war in Syria is full of interest for the parties involved in it, because in Syria there are many sources of oil, and therefore all the countries concerned are involved in it.

Education is the way out of war, but is a hard way. It`s hard to try and educate people who don`t want to evolve with their legislative, political and social system, mainly because its in direct contradiction with their ancestor system of belief.

Also some people oppose education because its against other peoples "cultural" heritage Sad

no matter whar the reasons are, there is no need to make war .. we are smart creatures so we can handle our problems by negotiating them peacefully.. but some forces desire to change the world a bloody hell place

Syria is a turnstile for fossil fuels and it's always about the fossil fuels. Syria needs to be stable to function as a servant of the West, nothing more nothing less.

I don't know what's going on in Syria since I never visited. As a westerner I frankly don't give a damn. I don't live there and I cannot understand why people live in deserts in the first place, except ofcourse Israel which isn't a desert ANYMORE. As a firstworlder I say thank you to all those backs everywhere breaking under toil of western civilised demands: Thank you Ping for sleeping at your workstation so my Iphone can be 5 bucks cheaper. Thank you Kim for washing my jeans in chemicals that make ye hands turn blue forever. Thanks Fanta/Pepsi/Freedom for finding that stone that fits perfectly into my tooth, enjoy that one hour sleep: you've earned it! And so on.

We're all guilty. Religion, or islamism, is just an effective decoy.

Everything is very complicated in Syria. There are rebels, extremists, patriots defending.
I don't know what is gonna happen but I hope it will be over quickly.
there more than 250,000 Syrians lost their lives in 4 and half years. only disappointment caused by west's inaction created a fertile recruiting ground for extremists, who told those who had lost their loved ones that they were their only hope.

I want that everywhere will be peace! You also want it!
Who does not want that? The one who earns on the sale of weapons!
No more, not less!
Thank you!

yes indeed it is complicated.

I feel bad for the regular citizens over there who have nothing to do with this war that they're fighting.

This why there are so many refugees out there

I don't see how someone looking in from the outside could possibly understand all of the complexities there. I'm not sure if the locals are completely sure either. Whatever's going on, I hope it ends soon.

This^ same for me here too. I don't fully understand what's going on and I doubt the people over there too do neither.

I read somewhat about it and some of it has to with religion some with politics and goverments etc.

It seems like no one has any idea what is going on in Syria. Regime, rebel`s, ISIS, Russia, U.S. Arab`s...Muslim`s, Christian`s...who is with who, what kind of game`s they are playing. I think we need to take Ukraina here and Syiria as countries on Russian border. Maybe U.S. trying to weaken them? For me everything points in that direction. They are just testing each other strainght for now.

Nobody knows who is fighting with who. Russia and America wants do there their own business and this is the worst. If not their fight for political influence and oil there still will be peace. That Americans have created, and - what is worst - armed ISIS.

So don't understand anything, so Al Qaeda is now labeled as a rebel group? In other words, a rebel group destroyed twin towers and not a terrorist organization?

Syria will be calm and peaceful, if the foreign players stay away. The trouble started when the Arabs (especially the Saudis and Qataris) and the Turks funded various Islamist militias and used these proxy groups to attack Assad's forces. More than half of the ISIS jihadis are former members of these militant Islamic groups.

The focus should have always been on ISIS and Al Queda. The best route is the Kurds. Only a fool would side with a Turkish state that clearly supports genocide and terrorism. Unfortunately, that fool is the twice elected president.

War is terrible. I advise strongly against it, also in Syria.

Belgium is a good country for a war. Waterloo started the mess we're in today.

You make a good point. However, better Syria than America.
