I think this is coin when users are protected all private information of profile as well as account detail. Also the transaction will be secured well from any hackers or lossing information. It helps people can protect their project and make your transaction become more effective.

Will become more and more valuable, just wait on them. They will be needed.
These privacy coins are newly introduced in the crypto market and that it has not been so long to see these crypto coins. However, the features which these coins are having are indeed the bets and that there are brighter chances that investors will go for investing their money into such coins if not now, then after sometime and that these coins will create a strong impact in the society.

Privacy coin is something that we actually don't need right now. Though having a bit of privacy in financial matters is something that is appreciated but still every blessing has its dark side. People will actually abuse this features by hiding themselves to commit crimes such as money laundering. This will eventually bring more negativity towards the crypto community.

I think the confidential coins are very good, but only when they are used for good ends. If these coins will use criminals to launder money and sell illegal goods, then this should be decided or forbidden.

As defined by coincentral.com, "Privacy coins implement the functionality to hide your identity when making transactions. They also can keep your wallet anonymous and/or hide the balances of transactions as well. "

The topic of this usually goes in two directions. One side claim negative attributes (ie. A utilization for money laundering and terrorist/criminal activity) or positive (ie. redeeming your right to have absolute control of your privacy).

When we think of potential use cases, we think of Silk Road or more recently Verge who entered the porn industry. But at the same time, you can in vision a use case that could be beneficial, which involves protecting people's financial identity. For instance, do you really want anyone to be able to track your purchases, see your salary or know your net worth?

What's your thoughts about Privacy coins? Do you see it as a positive or negative? Do you envision a future where privacy coins succeed?

Potentially will gonna be used by crime or something that need anonymous.
But it has a lot of good side of it, safer wallet and can secure it from hackers
Yes, privacy coins is very useful in this cryptoworld there is so many hackings etc. Although we cannot say that if we use privacy we are safe and not hackable or traceable. Some of it can still bypass by some people but with privacy we can manage to protect important matter and we are not easy to hack.

I though cryptocurrency already are anonymous. People can track my transactions but they don't know who am i. that's enough for me. I don't use it for drugs, child porn so too privacy coin that doesn't need for me
What if government put sanctions on your money to be tracked for every single payment due to political\other reason ? then anonymous coins is needed urgently in that scene so better take care of your money before turned into real actions . Not privcy alone but all other good anonymous coins are very important in near future .

Privacy coins are the future of cryptocurrency, Most of us don't want to be tracked and have our actions exposed by a public blockchain.  IT will be a tough road because of all the government regulation but if we join together and support privacy coins the government can't stop us.

I think as governments get involved in crypto more and more they will attempt to ban these coins which will lead to more people using them.  The black market economy will begin.  I also believe as government pushes us further and further more and more people will turn to the privacy coins.  So I think the future is rocky but bright.

Privacy coins tend to catch a hype and go up for a while. But i believe that there is not much there. Yes, some privacy coins will be used on wont be abandoned but there is only so much need for them . And the big disadvantage is that most of the big exchanges wont touch them and if they have touched them they will delist them with time since regulations will most likely will not support them.

My thoughts are very objective, because I suppose that now people should unequivocally understand that such projects as Monero or ZCash should be valued more than all the others, crypto-currencies are privacy, it should remain it.
That's make sense, crypto is for anonymity and privacy is always accompanied by this project, those project who really practice this sense should gain much attentions and valued alongside with btc, I think it will need to be considered by most investors which really aiming for some change inside the
financial market.
There will be so many regulations and i thought that will give a huge impact about the adoption of privacy coin, you can see that how the government was preventing the privacy coin through put KYC as the basic verification for those are using centralized exchange site. As long as those claimed that privacy coins cannot avoid the centralized exchange and privacy coin just like a bullshit thing.

In the end of 2017 and the early 2018 most of expert thing that privacy coin will rule the market for this year, but in the reality, most of privacy coins were dead. XMR after the fork they are lack of development, their biggest rival, Verge was doing such a blunder and criticized because of their partnership with pornhub. It is really hard now even to find a single promising privacy coins. My advice is that you start looking to more popular projects like Exchange utility coin, or smart-contract platform coin. Just like Binance BNC, Coinex CET, or EOS. They seems dominating the altcoin market.
When it comes to categories and we do talk about investment then those exchange utility coin would be ideal but there are people who do really go with those anonymous coins they might not be ideal on profit terms but they do actually come with the usage. We do see XMR flaws but we do still see on whats its position into the entire market. Bitcoin is pseudo-anonymous and some people do knows about that.

I think privacy coins are good but they could turn out to be troublesome for the whole crypto world as the governments will never let completely anonymous currencies like Monero or any other privacy coin to become popular or thrive. Also exchanges aren't in favor of privacy coins cause hackers use those currency to become untraceable after hacking exchanges.

They are the next big thing. Cryptos are getting less anonymous which people do not like. The more people look for ways to be more anonymous with their crypto transactions, they will keep moving towards privacy coins. They are a bitter-sweet indulgence though because with privacy coins it will be easier for criminals to carry out their activities.

In a world where a lot of emphasis is now being placed on users taking control of their private data, it should also extend to protecting one's financial information as it is personal to the parties involved in it. Although many sick criminal minded people are still going to use it to perpetrate evil acts I feel it can be regulated and I think privacy coins are here to stay

It's good to see that the crypto sphere is expanding and we are starting to have some privacy coins, this means that people are really becoming accepting of the crypto idea and how it works. However, caution needs to be taken as majority of these privacy coins were only made just to satisfy selfish aims of the managers or investors.

In my opinion, privacy is one of the keys to wide scale adoption of crypto currency, and only a coin that has the potential for true privacy (full anonymity), together with fast transactions and low network fees, will have the potential to surpass Bitcoin as the top crypto currency and a real option as a fiat replacement.

For me I don't really like privacy coins because I believe the reason for blockchain is to develop something that will be transparent making people not to trust each other before dealing together, but with privacy coins, it hides everything, and anything hidden is not transparent, and I believe in the future regulations will go after privacy coins, it encourages a whole lot of negative activities.

I think there would be heavy regulations over privacy coins in coming time. Japan has already announced their concern against privacy coins and I think most the countries will follow the same route. I believe is sure. I don't need anybody to track my exchanges. I need the trades to be stamped. As of now cryptographic money is private and mysterious and making it more private is great yet the vast majority of governments will don't care for this thought since it will make unfit to discover who is sending and getting and will may increment in drugs and other illicit exercises.

always believed that anonymity for many fact. there are different situations, you may need to give a choice to send anonymously or openly. and an anonymous transaction does not always mean something illegal, maybe a person buys porn, or some kind of product, the purchase of which you want to hide. or there is a proposal - to make an anonymous transaction is very expensive, then it will be used in an emergency. but as Vitalik buterin said, it is impossible to drive all wolves out of the system

Privacy coins are good but it is not inline which blockchain founder aim of creation crypto currency, cryptos was created to be transparent and remove trust issues, now with privacy i think the dis-benefit is pass benefit, it will encourage a whole lot of times, like money laundry, illegal purchase of some items, thief, hacking because no one could trace the perpetrators of these did and governments will not never going to support such coins in the future.

I can perfectly understand the attraction of privacy coins. Many people involved in cryptocurrencies come from a Libertarian affiliation and the idea of a currency beyond the control of the state is probably what first attracted them. However, those that are working to harm cryptocurrencies are constantly playing up false concerns about their use to launder money from crime. This is what has led Japan to ban privacy coins from their exchanges and is likely to be followed by other jurisdiction. I think privacy coins have a role within the ecosystem but they are not likely to become main stream coins because many jurisdictions will prevent their exchanges from trading them.

that only problem with privacy coins is it may use for graft and corruption or may hide illegally acquired wealth. unlike other cryptocurrencies, public address is visible sources of the user can be monitored thru centralize crypto/fiat exchanges thus money laundering can be prevented.

I really like the concept of the coins. I think there is a need for them especially when we have open ledgers where you can see everyone's crypto.

I think that Privacy coins are a great idea and there is plenty of room in the ecosystem for them, my only issue is that they are used poorly. When you think about privacy and all they are really getting used for is porn, it's a little disappointing but it is still early days. There are some strong ones coming out such as Zcoin, DeepOnion etc.

Great platform as well (Crowdholding) I would advise anyone to use it to earn some tokens by giving feedback, it's better than the average bounty system!
