Well some one shared a very interesting Transaction processing comparison on bitshares reddit. here are some bits of it. (You can read full version here )

Few days ago Vitalik Buterin said : "Ethereum is doing five a second. Uber gives 12 rides a second. It will take a couple of years for the blockchain to replace Visa.”

Well, in December 2016, Visa told MyBroadband that VisaNet processes an average of 150 million transaction each day. Source. Say, it's around 1,700 transaction per second on average.

With the latest stress test, which was done 5 months ago, BitShares has proven to sustain successfully about 300 transaction per second on average,
with a peak of more than 3000 transaction per second, which beats PayPal and which is already like 8x to 15x of what Ethereum is able to handle today (there is different data available on how much Ethereum handles but it varies from 5 TPS to 20–40 TPS, and we count the greatest).

So why it is so undervalued despite it has a decentralized exchange!! I think they need to put some effort in marketing campaigns. I am sure in the long term this project has a bright future.

Actually, there have been a lot of blockchains that theoretically can beat that number, but stress tests are not really the same as real-case use. Ethereum upgrade with the next fork means it can match Visa's rate of transacting. In theory even alts like Litecoin recently proved to be able to do lightning quick transactions and this was across chains.

I know a lot of dex also want to do the same. It is just a matter of time.

Bitshares is holding above 2k which means it has already done its low and is now ready to pump up back once again. It's a sleeping giant that has the ability to confirm your transactions with least fee in just seconds, it just came here because of the weaker hands who sold in panic seeing that the price is reaching back to the place where it started from. Remember, this was the coin which did 16k too so it's a golden chance to buy and get in really cheap.

Bitshares chart seems very nice. 2000 satoshi is the bottom since this May, and it worked as a good support area. I am expecting altcoin rush in October and coins like Bitshares are very cheap and will increase huge. I expect easy x2 or x3 next month

Bitshares has a good team. They never stop developing their platform for mainstream use. I believe decentralized exchanges are the future. You should invest in long term. HODL.

Bitshares is the first DAC as far as I know. The team is working to refine the GUI and there are several available. I am not sure what happened with the Hero campaign but bitshares has proven itself as being able to handle lots of transactions and being transparent.

There is only possibilities for this to go up in value with time

I've no idea how BTS managed to grow so big in capitalisation. If you actually try to use BitShares, you will see the volumes of trading are very low (comparing to capitalization). So I don't think current price is backed up by working and profitable product, it's rather a speculation. Since the hype ended, this coin may never recover, unless people start actually using the exchange.

I'm also holding BTS and it's so painful to see it doesn't move up in price for a month
I think BTS team should do a little bit more to promote their coin. Another limiting factor is huge supply

Bts is a good coin, its team is good, just recently the price of Bts continually decreased and now stop at 0.00002 btc. The current Bts value is just one fifth of its value. I think Bts is suitable for long term investment. Keep it.

BTS had a brief spike when the market cap increased above $1B a couple of months ago when it was added to Chinese exchanges. I thought it was somewhat overvalued at the time with the market cap getting ahead of itself.

Given the hacks and governance failures at exchanges, it is important for decentralized exchanges to grow. I am bullish BTS long term however it not clear which of the decentralized exchanges will capture the volume and benefit from network effects. There ore it is important to have multiple bets in the space to benefit from the secular trend.

My suggestion is consider having positions in at least two or three of Bitshares, Counterparty, Waves, Syscoin, Bitbay and Blocknet.
I agree. I was following Blocknet for a while and it seems that it is a good alternative. Waves is a must in the portfolio, there is so much to grow in the near future.

bts is a good project they've recently completed a fork. And the price is now falling. But I'm sure this is temporary... Soon bts will once again be in the top

Need to share views about Bts for short and long term

I think the bitshares are good, but for some reason alt many new does not glance at this platform. Its wallet is very easy to remember and very safe to use, they also have their own market. This is just a matter of time, i am sure in the future bts will be one good alt.

I just like their development about the decentralized exchange site but i was hearing some one say the bitshares will try to use the SEC compliant as the minimum requirement to run the ico in the future.
Bitshares are working in so many level. the team already confirmed to work in the regulation too. Longterm will be suitable.

There is already a decentralised exchange built on top of the bitshares platform and it's been live for over a year:

https://openledger.info/

The volume traded isn't huge though, which means that though people say they want decentralised exchanges, in practice they don't use them.

With the china news a lot of decentralized exchanges will come up from the ground and start being mainstream. I see this as the next step in cryptocurrency. However which exchange will be used the most that coin will rise the most. If Bitshares pumps their marketing this coin can go back up to it's previous highs
