What's your take on this? Is the proposed protest worth or or is thier a better alternative to get our leaders to become responsible for the economic situation we're currently into?
you don observe say all these politicians when de do like say them no know wetin them go do don sit up now when dem see say the youth de serious about this protest? All of a sudden them don start to de bring light pass the way e been de before, de don start to de share money, de even put youths into small small positions to use short down the protest. Note say if no be this proposed protest, none of these things for happen and it goes to show the importance of speaking up when things are going wrong.

My thought on the protest be say we really need am, as e don come to the point when be say all the things we de talk through radio, TV, social media and all the platforms when we de use air out our grievances our oga them for the top no de gree hear am eh, if na protest them go hear am make people come out and protest. The suffering don too much and the price of things don make life too difficult for the average masses. Life don too hard us to the point we don kuku adapt to living a very deficult lifestyle and that one na bad stage when we no suppose reach like this.

Normally the fear na say we no fit tell the outcome of the protest but na the same way when be say we no go fit tell the end product of this backwardness when don become a consistent routine. But as e de normally be, the politicians them don buy some vaulnaurable youth to thier side and go fit easily use them hijack the protest coupled with these ethnic differences when never allow us fight this bad leadership issue as a nation in a manner that is void of sentiment, we fit no really see massive turn out for the protest but e go still make sense make we show them say we still get voice rather than sitting back and allowing them rule us to people when be slaves.

Everything in life have a sacrifice to make in other to achieve the best and expected result from it, also in politics and democracy in particular, the people have the right to stage out in protest over any situation in the country they feels being cheated upon, to protest is good because its an act of portraying the image of what we all conceived in mind towards the abnormal way of how things were being done, when change is needed, then truly one of the ways to achieve it is by protest, but a peaceful one.

Nevertheless, we have to also consider in the negative side of making a protest, however, before we go deeper, i will remind us about revisiting on the last nation wide protest over End Sars and the consequences it had over the people, the scary aspect of it is the cost of loss of properties and assets, because hoodlums will take advantage of the process to loot on the public properties and government inventions, while the security operatives will take actions on stopping them and as a result engaged in a serious battle with them.

As you tok, notin for dis contri dey easy to get without using force and of you ask about my view, d only tin I fit tok nah; I dey hope make significant changes dey becos the way tins don dey go high, the #70k minimum wage govt agree no go fit reach a family for one week.
We no go b the first contri to demand accountability and beta treatment from our leaders and we certainly no go be the last but the more wey dem dey deny us of these tins wey sopoz come to us naturally, the only other option nah to protest and normally e go dey peaceful, but economic experts don dey see the downside already. E just be like say them don dey prepare for trouble.
I no want a repeat of the ENDSARS saga because nah black day be that but just to be heard by our obstinate government, a protest na the only option.

Haven't gone through the demands that where listed by the protesters, they were thoughtful and well articulated, especially the case of the removal of fuel subsidy which has snowballed into causing hyperinflation and the weakening of the purchasing powers of the average Nigerian citizen. On that day I'll be coming out to match along with the protesters for government to look into the plight of Nigeria's and stop paying lips service to what we are facing as a people.

I can see from the media, they've paid a lot of persons to come and talk down on the protest and for people not to come out and protest, because they believe it will be hijacked by hoodlums, but they are forgetting that we've been hijacked by hoodlums in the leadership space, people that have little or no intention of bettering the lives of Nigerians except for themselves and their cronies.
We are not backing out, as we cannot sing kumbaya when it is not yet Uhuru, freedom comet by struggle.✊

Sadly, we've gotten to the stage in our nation where without protest and forceful measures, it's almost impossible to hold our leaders accountable for the responsibility they signed up to. SARS officers killed and molested a lot of Nigerians and we made lots of pleas and yet saw no result until the "END SARS" protest, which led to a lot of killing and destruction of properties before we eventually saw a little reformation in the brutality from our uniform men.

The economic situation is getting worse by the day and maybe some of us aren't feeling it that much because we are fortunate to find ourselves in the digital sector and fortunate enough to have a good-paying job that's not influenced to a large extent by the faulty policies and negligence of our government and politicians who don't have a single plan on ground as to how to bring us out of this mess.

The proposed protest is a journey I wouldn't wish it happens considering the effect of last protest and knowing that after a lot of people have lost thier lives for what they believe was right, we're still in the same or a worse of situation and case of police brutality hasn't become a thing of the past.

Key on the demands for the June 1st protest are;
1.  Declare a state of emergency on inflation.
2. Reformation of the ministry of agriculture
3. Reduction in the salary of sanitors and other executive by 50%
4. End subsidy scam
5. Demand for provision of subsidized loans for SMEs
6. Creation of job opportunities
7. Investing in the educational sector and lots of others.

At the moment, it's still uncertain what the protest will bring to the table and how it will affect the peace and the welfare of people in our nation. A lot of youths on the street are already angry and if care is not taken, what might start as a little protest might end up growing into something big.

What's your take on this? Is the proposed protest worth or or is thier a better alternative to get our leaders to become responsible for the economic situation we're currently into?

This protest is needed and every youths body should join, we must  not keep quite and watch our nation been destroyed by old men that lacks ideas to pilot the affairs. We must take the destiny of our children into our hands, its too much, a country without blueprint we just exit no progress nothing, our past are better than today, no innovation, no good policy, we just exit like tree.

I just believe the leaders of this protest should be men of integrity. Not people the government will buy over fast, because the FG are working on  to call them for a meeting before the protest,  let them stand on their ground, and let them add removal of excess taxation on the demand. Companies are not long giving employment because of too much tax by the FG. If they reduce the tax it will be good for investors. I'm ready for the protest.
