Canaan is great but there specs of miners just haven't been great lately.  I'm just tired of all these mining companies releasing miners and specs for a 5month preorder when bitmain usually has it on hand or same month.  Sorry, done giving these companies money, they also rarely give compensation even though many people lose thousands due to their incompetence.

yeah most of the gear i purchased from jan 2019 to now still works.

i had a bad whatsminer m10 and 10 good whatsminer units.
i had a bad avalon a1041 and 2 good ones.  i suspect this was a shipping issue.
i have 3 for 3 good innosilicon
i have 23 for 23 good bitmain miners.

all in all pretty reliable. service from canaan has been better then anyone.
so i still buy from them. i am hoping the feb a1166 are really good.

if the power deal i have a piece of was all mine .  i think i would get all avalon simply because it is easy to work with steve of canaan.

but.    the owner of the warehouse complex and his son and buysolar and me mean 4 votes on purchases.
not one. so i mix the gear with a strong slant towards bitmain.

Unfortunately they are too expensive for the efficiency they provide. Anything with a near 2y ROI because of their price/efficiency ratio is out of the picture for many. The newer ones are better, not a lot, but they aren't available till Feb, but even with that far out of a delivery date the 1168 in Feb is better than a 1066 or 1047 now.

The reliability issues isn't really an issue for most, it used to be but not now really.

Excellent reputation all around. Availability either direct or via distributors - check. Deliveries - on time. Build quality - stellar. Prices - decent.

Still have heard of no one with a m20 45th and mine still has not shipped.  Yea, done ordering gear from whatshitminer.  Nice chunk of money wasted thanks to this company.  First strongu, now whatsminer.  Hope they all go out of business at this rate and bitmain is the only one left.  At this point they all deserve it.

Just got a mail from Pangolinminer for my M21S, batch Nov 5-15. Just shipped!

I just received a tracking number for my m20s lot of sept.

Not sure  I simply don't know what is going on with pangolin-MicroBT-whatsminer triad.

Yea for sure lol.  I only got till next friday then I will file a claim.  I just wanna make sure they can't say oh it's still October we have time to ship per agreement or something.  Still no updates from people, they literally are not shipping these miners lately and give no information on a delay or why a delay or how long of a delay is anymore.  They don't even say what batch they are on due to ship.

They don't talk on pangolinminer telegram like anything is happening soon. In the meantime I am getting two s17's today.

Well October isn't over yet so it wouldn't be right for me to do anything just yet since I am indeed October batch.  I just have a gut feeling nothing for October batch is shipping anytime soon is my point.  I don't want to file until October ends though otherwise they can say (Well it's still October so we have time to ship) or some excuse like that.  I'm waiting for a reply to see if my reseller can get a refund through them, pango, and microbt to see what a final answer is.  The u6 is another story of miners I am waiting on which I will likely be ALSO filing a claim with that since it's essentially a bait and switch scam.  Great month for my miners orders...

I was talking to logistics department and there and telegram keeps avoiding answering the question of m20 45th model.  If I don't hear a answer on if these fucking miners are being delivered by end of month I'm disputing a fraud charge with my credit card and getting a refund since I purchased through alibaba for this exact protection.  Bitmain now accepts paypal, and delivers on time.  This is becoming a joke.  I seriously do not think a single person received a 45th m20 unit from even Aug. batch yet!!

That's really weird considering they are sitting in stock relatively cheap all over china resellers for that model.  Email them, maybe they "forgot" to ship your miner.

Yea I'm just fed up.  I'm officially done preordering from any company other than bitmain, and only a month in advance anymore.  I'm done with this bullshit china company tactics that is obviously a "Oh shit bitmain released a new miner uh uh uh uh duhhh duhhh uhhh let's take preorders for 6 months away for a miner we MIGHT be able to make in time and use that funding to TRY and do so!".  Strongu is the worst, they are basically a scam and fraud as far as im concerned, canaan is having ridiculous preorder waits, Feb, March, like... common.  Inno is completely worthless and unreliable, always delays, never on time, always over priced.  Now whatsminer is pulling this crap.     Bitmain, every miner I ordered this year from them (This year, not previous years I said) has arrived within +/- 1 week from scheduled ship date and performed better than advertised every. single. time.     I thought the t17's would be hard to get and expensive for October/November hence why I chose to grab some whatsminers, since in past they have been great miners and never had issues with ship dates.  Boy was I wrong, t17's are very easy to get, same price as whatsminers miners, and ship same/next day.  So I have these 225th, another 90th from strongu (Which I should have gotten a refund of so I may be in luck there actually) and whatever is going on with those stupid strongu u6 x11 miners yet a few of which I'm basically scratching off as lost money and a scam miner.     So, yea, I'm pretty furious and fed up with this bullshit that is being pulled by these companies this year.

so 225th delayed about 20 days. No news yet. Worse then my inno 50th delay of 10 days.  Yeah my luck has been lousy.  Inno delayed 10 days. Other inno dropped out twice in last month. And my a1041.purchased from forum member arrived doa. Early in July I lost one m10.  So 30+37 are dead 50 th was late. 39th is dropping out. That 67 th lost for sure and 89 th averaging say 70th. A loss of 86th. Oh one m10 does only 20 not 30. So between avalon innosilicon and pangolinminer  I would say I am down 96th. Still have 970 th running. And 350 on order. But I would have hoped for a little better.luck on these big units of gear.

I have 5 on order for October batch, and it's pretty disturbing to me that I have yet to see 1 picture or video in hands of a 45th m20 yet.  Or hear of anyone getting one, or hear of any even ship to people since August.  Kinda pissed off honestly.

I guarantee he means m20s not m20.  Yea they have, bitmain is only one that has been on point lately.  Kinda annoyed at whatsminer if this gear is going to be on a month delay.  I think I'm over this whole preorder crap in general anymore.  No one can manage their orders properly.  Quick to take payment for preorders but slow to ship except bitmain who has had 0 issues this year.

Hearing large orders just went out for September's batch this week.  So everyone should be getting stuff soon.  However, NO ONE can give me a answer about m20 45th.  Not the m20s.

This isn't really good then.  So far basically, no one has seen or heard of in person a m20.  Meaning... this might result in massive delays.  Getting tired of this shit, bitmain is the only one delivering on time and to their word lately (Can't believe I'm saying that).  These companies need to stop it with these way in advance preorders when they obviously cannot fill the orders in time.

So it's now October 20th... has anyone gotten a m20 (M20, not m20s)  I repeat again, m20, NOT m20s, for Septembers batch yet?  I have October batch orders and I assume they are going to be delayed if September is this backed up..

There is no sound proofing on the miner. It has two high speed 140mm fans on both ends. At standard mining speed the noise ramps up high and makes a very loud hum noise that I can hear in my house with the miner in the garage. I lined the walls of the garage that attached to main part of the house with 2 inch acoustic sound proofing to minimize noise.  An S9 I had in there running I could barely hear. The M20S at 69Th/s and fans at over 4000 RPM I can hear very clearly and it was annoying the wife. But I put it on the low power setting and it's all good. Can't hear it at all. If I stand in the garage I hear a low hum noise from it and that's it.  So happy wife, happy life.

Still no m20's?  Kinda getting worried now considering we are close to when October batch is suppose to ship, and no one has gotten any m20's from september yet?  M20, NOT M20S.

M20S that I preordered back in June for the "August" batch has passed customs and should be arriving either today or tomorrow, so there's definite movement

Hopefully the coming batches will be a little more on time I have another preorder from the October batch (3 more units)

The 49th setting that does 59db is the low power setting.

is the miner boxed in any way (soundproofed)? 59 DB is amazing and the power consumption I simply love. Is the sound perceived next to the miner (like 1 ft away?) or in the house?

I am not familiar with m20s at all, does it have like a low power function on him?

I have a friend who got 2 m20s's in today as well actually.  So they indeed are shipping.  He also ordered 2 m20's though as I have a few m20's on order as well but for october and his was september batch.  No one has received these units yet to my knowledge.  Not sure why as I would imagine they would be easier to make than the big m20s but hey whatever.

I noticed 1 or 2 people mention orders had shipped on their Telegram. I've also poked at Yang a bit about just abandoning their customer base. I'm not sure if they will take the advice or not but I essentially told them, "Even if it's bad news you still need to be actively engaging and communicating with your customers" On top of that I pointed out that they can't abandon that telegram group for days or weeks as they were allowing it to become a spam filled mess.
Glad to see people receiving their gear, stings extra hard on delays when you are watching the Diff climb and your break even extend further and further.

People seem to be getting m20s's.  But I have yet to see or hear anyone with a m20

I can also tell you that I received an e-mail from Pangolin on 9/17 that said my order was ready to ship out. It took about 7 days to get to the west coast by DHL, after customs I got it 10/3.

first person  to have a shipped m20s in quite a while.   this is good news.

I got my m20s from Pangolin last week. Took about 5 days to clear customs.  I am currently mining on low power mode. Doing about 49TH/s at 1950 W. Fans speed is at 2100 RPM so it is pretty quiet. Lower noise than an S9. If i crank it up to 69 TH/s then it makes a fan hum that I can hear in the house from the garage. I am pretty happy with it so far.

I received news from my salesman that tells me that my 8 machines are part of the MicroBT factory to their premises. I come back to you once the tracking number received.

Even my t17 is way better than spec.  I got what was told 40-42th models.  Yet, I avg 43-44th at 2200 watts all day long.  My s17's in turbo mode are doing 59 60th since the firmware update as well.

I have a used a1041 coming this week.

Canaan has been okay for timely ness.

But the 31-37 a1041 beta models are about 60watts at 30th setting and 65 watts at 37th setting.

The s17 pro 53th keeps giving me 2225 watts and 53-54th in a warm room. This is better then spec.

41 watts a th.  And the ability to use PayPal with six months to pay no interest.

Bitmain is clearly offering the best deal .

Canaan is always good but worthless when it comes to efficiency.  Bitmain so far this year has not been delayed more than 1 week for every single miner I have ordered.  So.. I can't really say I've had a bad experience this year, in fact bitmain has been on the ball with things if anything this year as far as im concerned.  Also 50th is nothing when it's a shit efficiency.  I could have bought in stock in hand ship same day m21s's for $1900 in August and didn't because I don't want miners that can't plug into pdu's.  Right now canaan is similar pricing..... for December.  So I wouldn't call that as anything amazing by any means.  No reason for canaan to ever be delayed because they are although one of the most reliable best miners to buy.. they are always OLD tech and never top dog in terms of efficiency.  This is coming from someone who had about 40-80 841's at one point so I love canaan but I can't deal with their efficiency of miners lately.

So far Canaan has been on sched with their A1047 miners. Got my latest 'Sept delivery' one last week with no reason (so far) to think their Nov and Dec deliveries would be delayed. Their 50THs beast - who knows but historically Canaan has been good with dates.

Back to the Whatsminers, I know they mentioned "Foundry troubles" which I rather take as (pure speculation) they got a large batch of off-spec chips that won't hit normal speeds. MicroBT does like to push their chips to the max and like BM does, will populate a miner with a combo of 2 great boards and 1 'meh' one. Miner still meets specs but I've love to see a M10 with all 3 boards running 523MHz vs for example, one of mine doing 523, 512, & 435MHz... Point is they need enough top-grade chips to make the 'great' boards.

My fears are something happened beyond  what has been revealed.  We will know just how late this gear will be. As we do have more then one person waiting for shipping in October lets hope gear does start out this week or next week.

I am on the October batch for m20.  My guess is I will get delayed too.  I would however expect shipping to start next week if something isn't up unusual.  Last week I'm sure doesn't count due to the holiday, gotta keep that in mind.  I'm expecting on hearing word coming up on my m20's I have ordered for end of month saying I won't get them till end of November at this rate.  Bitmain is the only one actually delivering lately.  Least it's not like strongu, that has never delivered 1 miner all year and is to the point of people saying they are changing the specs on miners that were ordered in April.. aka fraud.

I can't imagine anything moved last week. Not sure which one but it was a national holiday. Are Laurent and Yang not answering? I've noticed the telegram group has become a shady spam fest.

For the delayed T43's they are offering the split the difference now and ship T50's

But the T50 isn't as efficient as the T43.

I might cancel and just buy bitmain/avalon gear instead.

Yeah I'm just going off my experience with the M20S that was nearly a month late. Right before gear pricing went up and delivery went long; they offered to sell me my next gear at a discount. I believe I had one chance to maybe take them up on this offer, but by the time they got back to me to confirm the time had passed. This is definitely a different situation with a larger order, so I would imagine they should try and do something to accomodate, I doubt it will be a refund, just a deal next time.

They may send him a m21 as compensation. Worth about 880 usd.

I know biffa had late t3 t43s and got t3 t50 upgrade on some units.

Maybe he can confirm this. And sparow0841 could point out the upgrade biffa got.

In my case a 9 day delay I was not offered anything from innosilicon.

Start messaging them for compensation. It won't be much but you should be able to receive something. Starting the conversation now at least gives you an idea of where things are going.
Odds are though it will just be a promise to give you a deal in the future.

Three week delay is 0.20-0.21 Btc before you count your power cost.

Much much much worse then my 9 day delay from innosilicon.

Looks like a delay on all those m20s units on order.  Things are swing in the favor of bitmain  and maybe avalon.

It is possible that this gear could face  longer delays then 2-3 weeks.  Based on other companies and delays that have happened in the past.
