It is very interesting when we discuss when the bull market will end, because surely everyone has different opinions. Because it is very difficult
to predict the price movement of Bitcoin, even the increase in the price of Bitcoin to $ 40,000 no one expected. But usually if the Bitcoin price
increase is too high like now, usually in the near future there will be a bear market.

Based on my prediction the end of January the bull market will end, then my prediction regarding the lowest price Bitcoin that will occur in the next
bear market is that it will drop to $ 10,000. Because seeing the Bitcoin price that managed to go up above $ 40,000 if it fell back below $ 10,000
it seems unlikely. Hopefully my predictions are correct.
I disagree that it has to have a bear market very soon, after all we could potentially stay here for a while as well. Remember that 10k period? For nearly 6 months we have stayed in 10k price point , in 2019 it was really crazy because we were like 8k to 12k constantly without going any down or higher than that.
Theoretically, anything can happen (it could be dump or pump) cause the market trend is totally different from previous ATH market and evaluating the primary investors (which are the institutions) the momentum which the market will pose is determine by their decision if they choose to hold then will can only see fraction of market correction but if dump will happen that will be after the altcoin bullish end.
No man on this world would able to know on where this market will be heading. Its very unpredictable since from the start, we dont know if this one will be similar into those times that we had seen in previous years.
We dont know on how low it would go or how high it would be. Bear market is always next on the line but there are no indications on when it would happen. It can just happen without us knowing that it is already going down.
Thing here is that we do know on how to reach when this thing do happen, we do know on how to take opportunity to buy when its cheap because after such dip of price it will eventually
recover later on which means that is already a profit.

I believe we could have something similar to 2019 in 2021 but with a lot higher price, we will probably stay at a certain price and not move too much, not too high not too low. I am not saying it will happen at 40k, it could be at any price, it could be 30k, 35k, 40k, 50k who knows where it will be but there is a chance that could happen. Which is why I think it is quite important that we end up looking at the potential of stability more than we look at potential of bear market. Obviously you should still have some stop loss just in case anyway.

1) Where do you guys predict the bull market to end?

2) What is your prediction of the lowest price bitcoin will go again on next bear market?

Bitcoin is still doing (maybe) the unexpected now and the price is 40k now. In my opinion, we will see the bull market ending in 1-2 months. After that, I expect a very big decrease in the price and we could see a price around 10k. But this decrease can happen step by step. Firstly, we could see the price going down by half and stop for some time. Then it could go below 20k.

If this year the highest price reaches $ 50k, my prediction for the lowest price is $ 15k. But I don't know when that will happen. If it is true that bitcoin will fall at its lowest price, that is the right moment to buy a lot of bitcoin.
I do not expect bitcoin will go down to $15k because that can make many people who buy bitcoin at the current price will desperate.
If that happens, we will see what was going on in 2018-2019, and people will leave bitcoin forever because they are making a big loss.
If people now are smart to use the situations and profit from the price's up and down. Even if the price is down deeper, they will have the chance to use the downtrend moment to buy as many bitcoin as possible.
They will not think that they should regret it, but they will be happy to buy bitcoin at a big discount price.

if Bitcoin stabilize at $50k and bear trend follows it's likely that Bitcoin will drop to $8000 based on available data you provided and if history follow the trend of 80% to 85% drop, but I don't think we'll have bear trend this year, we are still going to enjoy a bull run before the end of this year because many investors are still coming in.
Yep, but what I know is that there will always be a bear market in a market cycle. Since many companies are now investing in bitcoin and there are also many people who want to get their salary in bitcoin, I don't think the market will drop below $10k. maybe around $10k-15k price level would make more sense

I can't think at this point of when the bear market will kick in, but I have a feeling that next lowest could be around 7k to 10k mark. Let me know your thoughts.

I think we are not aware of what will be the top of this market and hence it is difficult  to predict bear market target. I think if we can hit 200,000$ in this bull run, then we might go back to 40,000$ in the bear market. That's my rough estimate.

I guess maximum is around $100K considering how the market condition anything could happen but I could hardly imagine BTC goes past $100K that easily though but maybe thats just me, if any bear market happening which i don't think it will then its gonna be a new low at around $20K-$30K, bitcoin can't afford to go lower than that because massive bitcoin buy by the large investment company they'd atleast make it hard for bitcoin to get dumped that low below $20K mark, thats just my opinion though.

I don't think we go that high 250k and I doubt we will even touch 100k on this bull run. I think 50k more likely but yes if we were to hit 250k then a drop to 7k-10k would be too much. I think we will not go further than 50k on this bull run but definitely will surpass that by large on next one.

I like your assessment, it's more realistic like all the others, we must not rule out the possibility of correction at more than 50% or a crash at 80% it's likely to happen, because we are in the first month of the year, we can only speculate and look at the past history of the market, I just hope this year will be different from all the past years.

Sure we could go this low but not without having any fud related news that will fuel it. The last bear market was holding up quite well until the pandemic came and crash all market so the next will most likely hold strong between $20k to $25k until any fud will come pull the price downward either as a result of another pandemic or government imposing some strick restrictions/regulations on the industry.

One thing we should put into consideration before speculating on how low or high the bull and bear market of this era will go is the fact that the industry now isn't what it was few years back. Back then we didn't have institutional investors or as much as we have now in the market.

For my speculations, we could go as high as $70k then in the condition that there won't be any fud but just a correction we can go as low as $20k but if fud was to step in we can go as low as $10k.

1) Minimum $80k. Maximum $500k. Likely $350k.

Never thought I'd see a "maximum" from you. Tongue

Personally I think $1M+ is possible. Maybe not probable, but if this is the vertical swing of the adoption S-curve, the magnitude could get a lot bigger than previous bubbles. I'll still be holding at $500K.

I think the low will be the 200 WMA. Load up tradingview, add BLX and add a 200 Weekly moving average. This indicator never had a close UNDER the moving average. Back in March 2020, it went below it but it closed on the moving average and not below. I think this is a great indicator to buy the low.

Currently its at $8100. But it goes up every week. So lets assume this crazy rally last another 3 months, and then lets say the bear market starts and last 1 year, so fast forward the 200 WMA to 1.25 years in the future, I see the 200 WMA around $17500-$20000 or so.

So say we retrace 80% of the top like in most crashes and $20000 being the low, it would make the top $100K.

It could be 1/3 of the price if even it will be dumped again.
I am sure it will happen. There is always a selling moment. I think they are just holding now expecting more.
It did give them more but the "enough" thought would come and they will sell.
I hope we could also make our profits once it happens and then back to buying more bitcoin so it will scatter more instead of just whales keeping it.
Always been late when that happens.  Cheesy
Agree on that line that it is too late when it happens thats why we should assumed a little bit more advance on making step but though it is a risky move.

Selling moment is really there but those big players are just waiting for the right moment to sell off. There would always be a point on where these holders
will really be selling out for profits.

Bear market? A market cant be called one if we dont have this.Correction and pullbacks are normal so be prepared for it.

$ 4000 is the last level, of course this is an interesting conversation for the bearish price of bitcoin going forward, and I think $ 20k is a strong level for bitcoin, yes, even if bitcoin stops bullish at $ 36300, then the strongest support so it doesn't get dumped in is $ 20000. don't expect too deep anymore, we are entering a new era

You cant say such thing because dump can really happen into this very unpredictable market. We cant remove the impression that those technicals
and plotting those supports doesnt ensure that those can hold up when a drop or crash do happen. Saying 20k is a hard support? You cant tell
until it would be tested out.Just dont be too confident just because you are seeing peaks, secure your position while we are still in a good run.
Position and never be greedy because you might really get caught in the middle when the price tends to make some serious correction.

After a long waiting period of mostly 3 years after 2017 market crash we are seeing price rally and btc reaching ATH of $35-$40k this week but still the small corrections are taking place like in the last week when prices went down by 2-3% but shortly it sparked again to take over $30000.So we can expect Bull run to continue this year for long period mostly $90-150k until we saw a major crash of nearly 85-90% of price drop but still it would not go down by $12-$15k even at that time. The main reason is people slowly investing in it but at this time huge investments are made in the Bitcoin along with involvement of major institutions like PayPal, MicroStrategy holding and dealing in crypto transactions which boost the prices upwards. So we are not going to see bearish trend soon as whales manipulate the prices by creating FUD's in the market to dump the prices and make huge profits again. So have patience and stay calm and enjoy your profits in the right time.

The price of the most bearish sentiment and price action in trading to start this week was 28k and on Thursday with its sell and just earlier we fell back to 37k at our most negative pricing the lows are still increasing in such a frothy way its harder to predict overall but I think after a wider reset it will be clearer over days when viewed in something of a yearly view.    Right now I find no good reason for price to change this much so quickly so I consider prices inaccurate and unknown at the moment.
We usually measure lows relative to the highs of the previous peak so people would go off 20k but I think the 14k of 2019 was more solid, as a compromise I'll go with the 200 day average which sits between those two roughly.   Its a changing situation and thats a live measure, not so prone to hype and frothy prices and overall its still rising most of the time as is BTC; I recommend and commend 200 DMA to the forum Cheesy

Bitcoin is on an epic rally but looking at history the bear markets mostly drives price down to around 85%. Just 2 simple questions....

1) Where do you guys predict the bull market to end?

2) What is your prediction of the lowest price bitcoin will go again on next bear market?

I can't think at this point of when the bear market will kick in, but I have a feeling that next lowest could be around 7k to 10k mark. Let me know your thoughts.

No one knows!

We can put up numbers and make out those comparisons but it isnt something that can really be predicted thats why its really hard to tell numbers because
if we do know on where it would be going then we can save up our own asses when price corrections do happen.

Basing off on the level of adoption we do have now then its not bad to presume that we wont really be crashing that hard compared to the past events.

Lots of strong supports in belows 29k 25k 22k and 19k. Breaking these supports might able to hold off but well its all presumption.

1) Where do you guys predict the bull market to end?

Probably around minimum of $90k and maximum of $195k

2) What is your prediction of the lowest price bitcoin will go again on next bear market?

If it's started just after $90k, than $35k to $45k and on the other hand, it might be fall back to $72k to $78k, imo.

The fundamental factor still good, so I don't think the bull run market will come to end. So, I just predict this bull run market will come when its price touch $70.000.

As for when the bear market come and make the price fall then I'll have a prediction that the lower price that could be reached is $20.000, which is this price is the strong support now.

Keep update the fundamental factor if you doubt to keep hold your bitcoin or at least it will make you believe that to buy bitcoin at the current price is still worth.

Actually, it is hard to tell because I think the bull run is just starting and there's no sign right now, in fact, it still continues surging up. Perhaps, institutions are not yet done accumulating. Thereby, I think the rally will run more several months. I don't know when exactly it will end because it is still beyond the knowledge of people after all.

Quote
2) What is your prediction of the lowest price bitcoin will go again on next bear market?
Well, if Bitcoin does continue to grow even more and I don't think it will fall more than $20k because if you will think, today's growth is now much stronger and firm because institutions, large companies and more are now venturing up, to simply say massive adoption unlike we had before which is only caused by FOMO.

I'm totally clueless about the Bitcoin market.I can't make any Bitcoin price speculations anymore. Grin
During the last summer,I was expecting a 15K USD price at the end of 2020 and January 2021.I was wrong.
Now,I'm expecting the bull market to end in February, but I might be wrong again.
We live in crazy times and the Bitcoin market is crazy right now.
I'm waiting for China to legalize crypto trading,so we could see a 100K+ USD Bitcoin price in 2021.
I have a feeling that 2021 is going to be crazier than 2020,in both a good and a bad way. Undecided
Anything can happen...

As long as these institutional investors aren't participating in the actual market that are the bitcoin exchanges (about 10 of them) they can not change that much about the trend. If for example newbies on Coinbase, Bitstamp, Kraken, Huobi, Gemeni,... panic sell then the price will crash no matter how many institutional investors are buying off the exchanges in their own little centralized companies.
That's the same with rising, that is also why I have been saying that the effects of institutional investors is not as big as people are making it to be.

They might not have THAT much of a significant effect compared to something like a whale buying up a huge amount of coins on spot exchanges, but I'd say institutions taking out a huge chunk of BTC out of circulation also has a notable effect; but it's definitely not something we would sort of "feel" immediately.

I personally think there's a slight chance that the percentage drop after the peak won't be as high as we had in the past.

I really don't want to be the "this time it's different!" kind of guy(because it almost always doesn't end well), I think there might be a sliiight chance that it might be the case; as assuming that there's a significant amount of money of institutional investors in bitcoin right now(and continue to flood in), it's safe to assume that they aren't the "panic seller" kind of investor like how most of retail is.

Exactly. I would only expect a big huge bear market and 80% drop this time around if at some point retail investors FOMO in like crazy and end up driving the price up to like $300k+ this year. I don't think retail investors will FOMO into Bitcoin as hard anymore, plus institutions won't be panic selling like retail investors, so if a bear market does happen next year, it will won't be as deep or as long. The longest I would expect to see would be maybe a year to drop and come back up, instead of the normal 3 years, but I think even something as long as a year seems very unlikely, maybe just a correction for a few months is the most likely thing to happen.

As others have been calling, the narrative has change, before bitcoin was being traded for pure speculative asset, but now that institutions and companies are hedging around, the price could really be on a massive spike as long as they are going to buy regardless if we are in a dip or not.

Corrections will be shallow this time, minor pullbacks, but I think the 4 year cycle will also change, we might see 6 year bull cycle now.

In this Q1 this year, the bitcoin price will have a big chance to increase still, but it is hard to know what will happen to bitcoin. We already saw the bitcoin price get down below $30k, but the price can back to increase, and finally, we see the price hit $35k again. After reaching $35k, the price is back to low price, and now, the price is at $34,600, so maybe this is a low price, and you can use this price as your entry to buy bitcoin. But if you want to buy bitcoin at a lower price than now, you can wait for that and prepare your money to buy.

I hope that the bear market would not come this year, but I assume it will result in Q3 or Q4 this year of 2021 because this time, everything is so different. Our speculation about bitcoin's price will only reach its $20K price, and after that, it will go down. But it all turns out bitcoin has surpassed its $20K price and created its new ATH, which is $35K because more people and institutions are continuously buying and holding their bitcoin.

I took the average drop of the 4 drops base on the picture and it is -86% and plotted it into the chart.
If it will happen again, most probably it will drop from around $35,000 as of this moment to ~$4000 that is -86%.

1) Where do you guys predict the bull market to end?
Right now, Bitcoin is hard to predict where this bull market will end.
It really is hard to predict what will happen next in crypto literally but to know when this bull run end, no one knows and its hard to know where.
It can be at $40,000 or at $45,000 or at $36,000.

2) What is your prediction of the lowest price bitcoin will go again on next bear market?
The red candle that Bitcoin did days ago is a hammer and it is a bullish signal. The bottom of it can be a new support so my first support is at $31,895.05 if the bias will not happen and it will go the other way. Its hard to plot too where will be the support since it is in a parabolic rise but my next support is at $29,000 base on Fib.

The bear market won't occur until bitcoin hit the peak which probably in Q4 of this year, what we should consider for now is when bitcoin might encounter the next phase of correction after all this rally. If bitcoin manages to hit $100k by the end of the year, an 80% drop means the price $20k, if refer to the history it could happen in January 2021, but nothing for sure.

1) Where do you guys predict the bull market to end?
2) What is your prediction of the lowest price bitcoin will go again on next bear market?
1) It is way too soon to even think about the bear market let alone want to predict when it will start! It is like trying to predict the bear market in January 2017 when price just broke $1200.
First we have to see at least 6 month of bull market and a couple of crashes with two dozen corrections then we have to end up in a massive bubble where the in-flow of fresh money starts to slow down then we can talk about bubble burst and the subsequent bear market.
2) Possible another 80% below the peak of the next bubble. So probably somewhere between $100k and $200k.

1. This bull run could take us up to $100k and more than that. And it can end, maybe by next year. There will be little corrections for this year but it is recovering fastly.

2. I guess we won't see $20k and below again.

I believe the bitcoin price does not reach the high peak and it will still increase. We don't know how much the highest price or new ATH because there is no right sign for that, and we can only predict how high the price increased. And if the high price is at $75k-$100k, then we have many lowest price that can happen later, but I think no matter how high the price, the price can get down to any lowest price without we can predict. Bitcoin price can jump to the high price or the low price anytime, and we will not know the time. But we are about to see the bull run, and it already started a few months ago, and it still happens until today.

Bitcoin will definitely go over $100k this bull run. We're still in the early stages of the bull run with a long time left to go. I'm not convinced there will be a long bear market like the last two cycles. Institutional buyers are changing the game. The previous crashes and bear markets were because all the FOMOing retail investors panic sold and crashed the price down and then were too afraid to come back into the market. But now the drivers of the market are institutions who are buying to hold long term and will keep buying for years to come.

Bitcoin could do something like go to $150k this year and then have like a 50% correction over the course of a few months. I don't see anything worse than that happening. Because when the price drops institutions would just start buying again and there would be another massive supply shortage which would send the price shooting back upwards ever higher. So if the price goes to $100k-$150k this year and then there is a smaller bear market I doubt it will go below $50k.

It can happen tomorrow or in the next year who knows , we are all giving speculations here .

I doubt that there will be Bear market coming soon ,or in the whole 2021 , and even if there will for sure not bad like what on the listed dates.

The lowest this market can lose is at least 40% because having ripple on the deep situation ,investors seems to be going to the safest coin and that is BTC.

If the predictions of 250+k are met then I imagine us to drop to no lower than the last ath but realistically around $25-35k.

If it doesn't and we only go up to $50-100 then I would expect anywhere from $6-12k atm. I don't think it's likely we'll see $2-4k/btc unless something catastrophic happens.

I don't think we go that high 250k and I doubt we will even touch 100k on this bull run. I think 50k more likely but yes if we were to hit 250k then a drop to 7k-10k would be too much. I think we will not go further than 50k on this bull run but definitely will surpass that by large on next one.
