Anyone offering a warranty on used electronics is taking a huge gamble. For the most part, those sales are considered 'AS IS' . If you want a warranty, buy new. It's doesn't really matter how new a electronic device is, they can fail to ever power on when you first receive them, or fail any time thereafter. As long as it's not DOA, that's about the best you can expect.

I would test a GPU card for at least 7 days to see if no HW errors are coming as well as overall stability issues. Some cards performs better then others, even with the same model. I had 10-20% performance differences between 2 brand new GPU of the same manufacturer and model. Same goes to cooling issues.

if I were selling you a video card and you took off the stock cooler, repasted it, put on aftermarket cooling , then over clocked it, and it failed I would tell you too damn bad..
if I sold you one and it did not work then we would both know that in 15 min tops!
that's akin to you buying a car that registers 150mph and you wreck it trying to get it to that speed then ask for a refund as if it were defective because you crashed it before it went tha fast... I mean come on man... doing all that would void any manufacures warrenty would would you espect a private party to cover that...
if I sold you one and it did not work then we would both know that in 15 min tops!

5 minute should be enough ...
I should have written Im buying entirely new rig so I will have to install every hardware software firmware updates and all that and overclock test stabilty change thermal compound cooling and everything else.
How much do you think this wil take in worst situation?
Okay lets say you buy A rig. a never ever ever ever do new firmware unless you have absolute certainty that:
A) you need the firmware
B) others have followed the firmware upgrade and it is proven to work
Next why do you want to overclock?
I ask this because you have asked a lot of questions about overclocking gpu's > I won't get into that gpu's do not work well for mining BTC.
I will say this Overclocking kills off gear------------- more true then not true.
also Overclocking eats up power many times overclocking loses money double the watts for 10 percent hash gain
Ill use accurate powermeter and find the best overclock to power ratio.
They make new software firmware andotherWARE for good reasons.
So how much max time do I need to test?
