If you had any bitcoin balance on yobit and bitfinex in 25th of October, You could have claimed them and even been able to do trading, But the price dropped hard right after they opened the market for traders, People started to dump the first chance they'd get. Did you know that bitcoin gold rank on CMC is 956? Cheesy pathetic sh*tcoin, Failure in the beginning 956.

Bitcoin gold is one of the biggest letdowns I have ever seen in cryptoworld. I think you should better let it go and wait some more months if you don't have huge amounts of bitcoin.

So it is not like bitcoin cash where the coins are automatically there in the wallet?

Im on ledger nano s so how to get them?

I think it will take time, i haven't received mine on my local wallet but maybe like what happened in bitcoin cash it will come out soon, i hope so. I haven't read any news about claiming it yet.

Its past october 25th and I don't see anything.
Have you tried to get some article from the internet? like this one.
https://coinsutra.com/claim-bitcoin-gold-btg/
You can try to use the wallet, but i just give you an suggestion about to claim your bitcoin gold through the exchange site may better but it's too late.
I think that you can try to use the spesific wallet for the bitcoin gold and put your bitcoin and then claim it/

A lot of thread already discussed about this.

From which trading site did you place your bitcoin with? Maybe the reason why you didn't get them is because the trading site did not support the bitcoin gold. Or maybe it just takes a couple of days for you to get them, just wait for further announcements until you get them.

Has replay attack been added to Bitcoin Gold?

According to their site they have added replay protection but there is
some confusion here on BCT as to why they would need it, I'm a bit
confused now so I am hesitant to claim my gold at them moment.

Here is a snippet from their blog and the link to the full page >

Bitcoin Gold Daily Update – Replay Protection fully implemented

Nov 1, 2017 | Development

In order to ensure the safety of the Bitcoin ecosystem, Bitcoin Gold
has implemented full replay protection, an essential feature that
protects users’ coins from being spent unintentionally. Bitcoin Gold
has just implemented a solution called SIGHASH_FORK_ID replay...

There isn't any blockchain and a real way to send bitcoin goldies at the moment, but you could claimed them a few days ago when the fork was done, anyway, you can export your private keys to another device who is accepting and distributing bitcoin gold and you will receive them right after away that you login.
but yes, they are not worth the risk, and the time, bitcoin gold is very cheap right now, maybe you are not going to receive many of them if you dont have a large amount of bitcoins in your wallet.

It seems like they didn't release any desktop wallet for their coin.
Only way to claim your Bitcoin gold would be their website.
I don't think it's worth it, because importing your valuable Bitcoin private key to a site like that could be unsafe.
If you really want to do it, make sure to transfer your valuable Bitcoin to a new wallet and then use the old private key to claim BTG.

You can just wait until tomorrow and you are probably going to receive those bitcoin golds for free. but if you dont have a big amount of bitcoins, you are not going to receive anything good, just think about it, if you are holding 0.10 bitcoins, you will receive 0.10 bitcoin goldies, and they are worth less than $9 in total at the moment, it is just a waste of time.
Bitcoin gold is useless, just wait until the next fork is released, those coins are going to be worth a fortune.

According to the news BTG should hit the market on November 1st. The fork happened on OCT 25th due to no replay protection people haven't started splitting the coins. Let see what happens tomorrow.
