i don't remember opening bitcoin by chrome,

Have you try to uninstall with 3rd program and delete all cache??

Try to unistall with revo uninstaller, then choose advance and remove junk file.

Last week, I installed a plugin from coinbase , so coinbase would automatically handle all bitcoin clicks to be paid by coinbase,

I uninstalled this a couple days ago, i think that's what is messing it up.

But it still messing things around.  I uninstalled it and removed everything in handlers.

There is nothing under handlers now, It's empty.

Chrome must be messing something up.

When click on a bitcoin address:

Chrome opens another chrome window
Opera opens a chrome window
Maxthon - opens a chrome window
Internet Explorer opens a chrome window

Firefox is working normal,

i tried uninstalling chrome and reinstalling it, and same problem

It's already set as those setting that you have told me.

Hm. I thought it was in the OS, but it might also be in chrome's settings. Try goin to settings and then advanced settings. Under privacy click on Content Settings. Scroll down to Handlers and then click on Manage handlers. If you see anything there bitcoin related, select (none) in the drop down box for that type. That might work.

I am using W7 Ultimate - 64bit
You will need to be an administrator to do this.

Go to Start and type into the search box
Code:
regedit.exe
and hit enter. This will open the registry editor. Click on the arrow next to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and then scroll down until you see "bitcoin". Then click on the arrow next to that and then the arrows next to "shell" and "open". Then click on "command. On the right side, you should see something that says "(Default)". Double click on that and another window should open. In that window, type
Code:
"" "%1"
where is the command to start Bitcoin Core. To find the command, go to your desktop and right click on the shortcut that starts Bitcoin Core. In the right click menu, go to Properties. Copy and past everything in the Target text box as the . Then hit OK on the properties window and the other one from regedit. Then close regedit and it should work.

What OS are you using? The settings for this are OS specific.

I have having an annoying problem and i can't find anywhere in chrome settings or bitcoin core settings.

Usually when i clicked on a bitcoin address, the bitcoin core client opened up,

a couple days ago, i made coinbase be the default when clicking on a bitcoin address,

now that my coinbase account got closed, i want to return the default when clicking to bitcoin core client,

But i am unable to do that,  How can i do that?

Now everytime i click on an address it opens up a new chrome window and its blank.

help!
