I am currently 100% in altcoins and wondering when we can expect the next big alt season?

I plan to hold all my altcoins till this alt season when alt coins are performing better than Bitcoin and then start putting profits into Bitcoin.
Bitcoin's price rose unexpectedly this year before it even halved, with many altcoins growing as a result of Bitcoin's rise in value. Especially the Solana coin has performed a lot. Anyway I don't know what alt coins you are holding, but if you pick random coins there is no guarantee, if you are holding top alt coins I think you can expect profit. Most of the time we have seen the top altcoins rise in price when Bitcoin starts to rise.

Actually with the Way you sounded I think you're very good with altcoins, for me I don't really pick interest in altcoins, because I don't really understand how altcoin investment works. Actually the answer is best known to those Investors who always invest in altcoins I think they are in the right position to answer this question, but I don't think if anyone can give exact answer to this question because is very hard to predict the market this time.

I think that Bitcoin will rise further, and after that, it will be a good time to enter into altcoins. As for those who have been investing in altcoins for the past 6 months, they must have already made around 3X returns. For now, I am waiting for BTC to rise, and once it rises and consolidates, I will move my money into altcoins. It's not that we shouldn't buy altcoins; it's just that we need to wait a little longer. We are all desperately waiting for the altcoin bull run.
I don't know if any altcoin has given 3X profit in the last 6 months but if it did then all the investors would be jumping on it. Among the top alts, ETH is stable in price and shows bullish momentum at times. Where investors' confidence in Bitcoin is constantly being reflected and various investment firms are shifting their capital here. Shifting from a valuable asset like Bitcoin to an altcoin seems absurd.

Almost 2 months gone since I posted this thread.

I find my patience being tested at times but at least we are now closer to alt season.

I have heard some saying it could be here in July but some also saying September.

I am hoping it will be here sometime in July as it has been a long time accumulating and I am ready to finally cash out some profits.

How is everyone else feeling? Alt season soon or not?

I think we are already experiencing it. Many altcoin made a new all time high and most of them even rose multiple X already when the halving is yet to come. This is really significant because the industry is experiencing this for the first time. The market saw a great rally for the past few months, and it is normal to see a correction shake the market before it starts moving upward again. I am expecting the continuation of the rally in May once again. Lets see how market react to the pre halving crash.
Not all altcoins that is pumping right now, but there is a hope that those altcoins that didn't pump this year will surely pump before the end of this year to give altcoins hodlers the chance to earn from the market.

The red candle is another way some altcoins hodlers use to notice the bear run is approaching, which many hodlers have use to it for a long time to buy and hodl until the green candle begin to displaying before they can take a step to release what they have be hodling.

New price has show up  this new month, for investors to be alert to know that halving season is about to happen for both long term hodlers and short term hodlers to experience before the bull season will fully occur.

I have been looking today at the Bitcoin chart at the last halving in May 2020 - the price didnt really start pumping until 4 months later in October.

Are we expecting something similar after this halving too and if so does that mean altcoins wont really pump either until Bitcoin does?
No one can know the answer to that question, as bitcoin is not moving alone and instead it is moving alongside many other assets and markets, so just as bitcoin could begin to go up in value in May, it could also take until the next year for such a movement to happen, if the political and economic situation around the world worsen.

This is why whenever you choose a particular strategy, you need to be convinced that you will follow it no matter what happens.

You can start selling them when run comes along with bitcoins because surely there will be no good chance other than that one also you can buy some bitcoins later when the price drops and you can be assured that because based on its past history, even though bitcoin price has risen. When the bitcoin price is high, you can just simply sell your altcoins for fiat and then wait for the right time to enter the crypto market again just like any other investors are doing right now, they don't rush but they carefully take their time to wait for the dip then they start to accumulate again for the long-term until we reach another historical bitcoin halving again.

Well I don't prefer holding altcoins for long term, reason is because most of this altcoin will not do well in the future. probably you might be holding the wrong one waiting for the price to reach your target, most of them can even die in the process. I will advice if you're holding altcoin, make sure you hold the right one, so as to avoid losing money. however do you really think that altcoin will perform more better than bitcoin in time coming?
Trading altcoins is acceptable, but holding them for the long term is not really a good move, even some of the coins that at some point were part of the top 10 disappeared, and there is no reason to think a few of the coins currently there could not suffer the same fate.

So anyone investing in those coins for such a long time must have this fact always present on the back of their minds, as in this way, they will not be surprised when that happens and they can sell their coins before their losses could accumulate to dangerous levels.

I am currently 100% in altcoins and wondering when we can expect the next big alt season?

I think you will have to wait a little longer, because the entire market is in a correction phase. Most Altcoins had quite large corrections last recent days , so recovering in the short term is quite difficult. According to my prediction, it won't be until the end of this year that the market really has an Altcoin season.

Besides, if you look at the BTC.D index (the correlation index between Bitcoin and Altcoin), it is currently in an increasing phase and shows no signs of weakening and reversing. To know when Altcoin season occurs, you should refer to this index. If in the near future the market recovers, I think the cash flow will still only focus on Bitcoin and certain Altcoins like ETH.

If this index surpasses the 57% mark and there is no correction after that, I think it will be quite bad for the Altcoins market. If you have only recently bought Altcoins, I recommend that you allocate some of your cash flow to Bitcoin or ETH to ensure your account is safer when the market experiences major fluctuations.

Considering that the Halving is just around the corner, I think we can expect altcoin season to start soon. I'm not waiting personally and I'm investing in my altcoins personally but currently my top 5 are NEAR, ITC, SOL, DYDX and XLM. I'm also heavily invested in BTC. Of course, this is usually constantly changing as I keep rebalancing my portfolio to maximize my profits

I am sure that the season may come already this summer, that's why I am buying large XRP and TFS, so far in my opinion these are the most promising investments. In general, we should expect some memcoins or little-known projects to take off well as usual

Altcoins always follow bitcoin trend and i believe bitcoin will rise in the next few days, so holding altcoins is i think the best strategy this time, because bitcoin is in the bull status. But it depends on the altcoins that you hold not all altcoins will follow bitcoin trends it depends on the altcoins and its use case and its capacity to attract more investors to rise up high in the future  select the altcoins that you think will have a great future so that tou will earn a lot.

IMHO it's alt season and I have a lot of projects that are performing better than Bitcoin. But eventually most altcoin projects will die. Therefore I agree with your idea to invest in altcoins and then when the price has reached the target we want to sell and save in BItcoin. I've done it on several projects like rndr and worldcoin. I once bought RNDR at $3 and sold it at $8 and then bought Bitcoin. I never regretted even once RNDR hit $12 because $8 was my price target.

We should not think about pumping coins but if we buy some top altcoins then there will be no worries about its declining price. Your idea is very beneficial and if every individual accepts such an idea then every individual will be in benefit. Actually Bitcoin is not as risky as that is altcoins so take benefit from altcoins immediately and invest it in Bitcoin so you will realize how profitable your idea is.

Another better step is to not hold your coin once your target is achieved so you take every step wisely therefore you are feeling satisfied. In case of investment if someone uses his mind and gets help from his earned knowledge then chances of losing money will be minimum.

I think that could be something we could see for the short term or the long term. By the looks of it, bitcoin will keep on being the topic of discussion for the next few months more, I think alts will get their time about near the end of the year if you ask me. Of course we can't exactly know when it will happen or not, we just need to end up realizing it has to be something that's going to be rare.

So, we need to focus on what to do and how to do it, that has to be the most important part. I get that we are going to end up with a situation that's separate, first we need to have bitcoin keep rising and peak, and before it peaks we can't have alt season. After that peaks, then we are going to start seeing how well alts could do.

Do you think Altcoins will perform better than Bitcoin? I don't think so, because Bitcoin has reached high price which it will be difficult for altcoins price to reach in 10 years to come, because their price is still low for their investors to experience such price from the market like what Bitcoin investors has experienced few weeks ago before the price started reducing from the market till this current price. If you are talking about when the altcoins bullish season will appear, I believe, it will appear very soon, and all you need to do is to continue holding your altcoins for you to achieve income that will make you to invest in Bitcoin to fulfill your desire and it will increase your income massively in the future. I think, you will meet up with the bearish season, because the price of Bitcoin has started decreasing to allow  their investors to purchase again and you can be luck to be part of that season to purchase Bitcoin and hold for future purpose.

In the last 6 months, Bitcoin has increased around 150%. Some altcoins I hold have seen 1000% increase and some over 3000%.

This is why I buy altcoins , to make a lot more money then I would if I had only invested in Bitcoin.

I can then put profits I make from my altcoins this bull run into Bitcoin in the next bear market.
That is definitely the main motivation of those that invest in altcoins, just make sure to always be ready to give up your position in an altcoin and get out of it in the case there is some trouble with one of those coins.

Because even if many altcoins will go up in value once the price of bitcoin goes up, there are many altcoins that will collapse way before that happens, and if you are invested in one of those coins when that happens, your losses can cause irremediable damage to your portfolio.

What AltCoin season are you hoping for? The time dip season to invest and accumulate more or the skyrocket season when it offers you with the chances of batching into the crypto markets and make lot of profitable incomes? because of you ask me, I'd say I don't have ideal as AltCoins does not have those transparent capacities as bitcoin could be in at least some certain extends of clear predictions.
AltCoins predictions are extremely uncertained and can't be hitted by the head.
Op, it's clear that there are great AltCoins but you don't need to compare AltCoins to bitcoin because bitcoinehas the capacity to subdue other coins possessions.

Well it always takes place after Bitcoin dominance however, nothing guarantees its occurence not until it actualy happen. With this, then it is more likely after the halving. Now, do you think we shoud wait for Bitcoin to first show its dominance before you actually invest? I doubt; as Bitcoin price continues to rise same thing goes with major altcoins. Waiting for this could leave you for that 'ride' so I guess being early is the same. What's best to do now is to select the altcoins you think has the highest possibility to pump along with major coins in the market and keep your eyes on watch for them. You don't need to invest in many, just a few would be enough. On my end I will be sticking with what I have with my portfolio and observe if there will be a good opportunity to add on my bag when another dip takes place. Just be patient and firm.

Ypu have no idea when bitcoin will "boom" just speculating.  Usually it lags well behind the halvening so I don't expect anything to happen soon.  Amd with the world events unfolding like they are I think we are in for a huge drop until it all settles down.  A slow pace back up to these levels and then we might see alt season commence.
I am also anticipating a correction in the BTC price following the Halving, and for capital flow to gradually shift towards altcoins. Subsequently, as BTC establishes a new peak and consolidates around 100K USD, we will witness an impressive surge in various altcoins across the market, encompassing all trends such as DeFi, GameFi, NFT, MoveFi, Metaverse, and memecoins. At that time, altcoin/BTC pairs will experience rapid growth, and altcoins will generate better returns than BTC. I expect Altseason to unfold during Q4 2024-Q2 2025.

At this time, when BTC is down 10%, many altcoins are down 25-30%. We are in Bitseason, so I don't dare to expect that Altseason will come soon. Altcoins need more time to recover, create new ATHs, and attract capital from BTC.

You'll never know when it is because when you're up by 10x-20x or more, you're not going to sell them because you'd think of more that might come to this portfolio of yours. And when the peak comes, you'll not stop and won't take profit because you think that there's a lot more from that more that you've thought of before. Until you're start to notice that the drop has been a lot and the decrease won't stop further and the paper loss that you're having is incredible from the paper profits that you've got before.

My guess is that the altcoin season will come after the Bitcoin halving. However, you need to be careful in choosing altcoins because not all altcoins can provide maximum profits in the altcoin season. Therefore before choosing an altcoin as an investment, you need to do research to find an altcoin that will rise drastically when the altcoin season arrives and give you maximum profits.

Yesterday saw the price of Bitcoin drop significantly, with the top altcoins following Bitcoin. There are only a few days left until the bitcoin halving. There are thousands of altcoins and it is really difficult to analyze the value of coins by just guessing. But what I think is that if the bull season starts after the bitcoin halving, if the price of bitcoin increases then the value of the top alt coins like Ethereum, BNB, Solana will also increase and even the coins may break their past price records and reach new highs.

HOLD for life because there's immense rewards for Bitcoin. Bitcoin have been here from day one and we learned everyday and I'm telling you that Bitcoin is top ranking project in the market and we should always go for the best if we want to make huge figures in the market. Its a nice strategy setup but I'm afraid to break the news to you that the market doesn't go as we all plan, that's one of the major reasons we have plan B and our opportunities of making it to this phase is very slim.
Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency I know that we could hold for life without bothering ourselves of what could happen in the process.
There are so many cryptocurrency being launched these days and we need to be very careful on buying them for too long because some of them might crash too soon and we don't want to see any of our investment crashing too soon. There are way we could make money from different investments which we need to hold for a while not too long.

From my little knowledge I believe altcoins follow with the price of bitcoin.

So I'm only expecting the Altcoin season to come when bitcoin price surges high. So if you already hold the altcoins that you believe on them it just a matter of patience and as soon as bitcoin surges high now boom Altcoin season will be here already.

Since we are over the first quarter of the year I'm likely expecting the Altcoin season to begin soon because in few weeks bitcoin will boom and then Altcoin season will follow the steps.

The prediction of altcoins is not like Bitcoin and I have not heard of altcoins prediction of all time high. I also have small altcoins that I am hodling but there is no time to even think of the ATH and whenever it comes, I will sell them. But for now the altcoins market is not good for new investors like us. So we still have to wait for the All Time High to come. And that has not been predicted. So we are all in darkness.

We are all in blindfolded investment.

I am currently 100% in altcoins and wondering when we can expect the next big alt season?

I plan to hold all my altcoins till this alt season when alt coins are performing better than Bitcoin and then start putting profits into Bitcoin.

This is what I experienced last year but I want you to know that pattern of crypto altcoin do change, because it happen last crypto bullrun doesn't mean that it is going to happen again because I learn that investors taste changes, they always go something new they can explore to gain the attention of everyone so they can make cool money from it.

Last altcoin bull run started as a result of Decentralized finance, protocols that were controlled by smart contracts instead of the normal traditional finance that we have and many existing projects all teleported their objectives towards Defi as it was the new thing in town and more demanding but later what kills this trend is that the number of hacks were much and a lot of teams were scamming investors, the trend wasn't palatable as it started and it die off but some projects are still available and improving on Defi.

We also had NFTs that time, non fungible tokens but also demands died off and now here we are with another season and we haven't see any trend yet. It could be that people are more careful now after what they learn from last season or perhaps they don't have what is sweet enough to invest in yet. So, just buy and hold some good altcoins.

Since we are over the first quarter of the year I'm likely expecting the Altcoin season to begin soon because in few weeks bitcoin will boom and then Altcoin season will follow the steps.

will that ever happen? Bitcoin is the top cryptocurrency even after many years have passed. No coin has ever valued higher than bitcoin and I don’t see it happening especially at this point of time.

Altcoins will surely follow bitcoin’s trend but it won’t surpass bitcoin’s performance
Even till now, there is no crypto projects that can be compared to Bitcoin because of the way Bitcoin is so amazing controlling the entire cryptocurrency market. If we are looking for a strong projects we can hold and make good money from, we need to be prered to invest in Bitcoin because that is one of the ways we could earn more from the crypto market without the need for altcoin. There are some good altcoins in the market we need to hold to make reasonable profits without stress.

I plan to hold all my altcoins till this alt season when alt coins are performing better than Bitcoin and then start putting profits into Bitcoin.

It is usually observed that as bitcoin rises, so does the altcoins and if bitcoin falls then it goes the same way for altcoins. Investors are very dependent on bitcoin and they think any movement from bitcoin reflects the overall market.

If they do not trust bitcoin the less they trust altcoins. The only way I can think of that could make altcoins be more valuable than bitcoin is when bitcoin goes down and instead of investors losing hope for the overall crypto market, they focus on altcoins..p

If case some person do not know, we are already in the altcoins season and we need to be ready and prepared to ride the market.
I have seen many meme tokens performing very well in the market and we should not be surprised to buy more of altcoins in this bull market because many of us are going to be millionaires soon. I am very optimistic about the Bitcoin halving and I am am certain that things are going to be better seeing investors making crazy profits from their different holdings.

Good luck. When you see that opportunity that you can make money already with those altcoins, convert them quickly to Bitcoin, altcoin season or not.

If you are 100% in altcoins, it means you don't invest in Bitcoin at all? Why?
Sure, it is your right to invest in any coins. However, as far as I know, Bitcoin will increase first before altcoins season. We have halving, this probably will trigger to increase Bitcoin price because people will tend to focus on Bitcoin firstly. The altcoin season should follow it, it will happen after the halving. In my own understanding, we will have altcoin season when the price of Bitcoin tends to stable (no significant change). This is when the Bitcoin in the long sideway phase. This probably happens in the next few months after Bitcoin halving. But no one knows the exact time for the altcoin season. It can be in Q3 or Q4 of this year, or it may be in the next year.

By the way, be careful to put the profits into Bitcoin after altcoin season. After altcoin season, the market can turn to the bearish season. If you want to buy Bitcoin after altcoin season, I suggest to do it when it is clear that we begins the new bearish season. So, you can buy in the lowest price!

Why all-in in alts and not have most of your capital in BTC? If you only you did that, you are now enjoying the fruits of your labour and you can still buy more alts because after it might be an alt season but you are brave enough to do it despite knowing the situation of altcoins are not good.

I already answered your question there. Alt season usually comes after BTC pumps and the bull run. Even though during a bull run, alts can also rise but alt season must be different because alts are only rising during it and then their rise are also extra-ordinary. With that said, you still can sell some of your alts nowadays for some profits, if you want to.

Though it's your money and you should know better what to do with it, I would say you are not doing it the right way. We all know that the whole market moves along with Bitcoin, when it goes up, the market starts going up as well, and when it loses value, every cryptocurrency start losing value with it.

So logically, Bitcoin should be the first cryptocurrency one should have in their portfolio but you don't even have any of it. I don't know how you did that, but anyway, if you are asking about the alt season, that depends on how Bitcoin will perform after the halving event.

If Bitcoin starts going up after it, altcoins will start gaining momentum as well, but if Bitcoin corrects itself again to a lower price point, altcoins will start bleeding badly.

When you see pump in bitcoin then you will also see pump in the price of altcoins so remember that there is also an alt season when bitcoin reaches to All the time high value. Halving will bring huge price so try to accumulate some top altcoins too because bitcoin will put some greater and beneficial effects on the worth of altcoins too.

Ethereum and Solana will show more success in contrast with other altcoins so don't wait more as it is the better time buy some of them. Although price is higher but it will not go in more dump before halving and if you wait for lower price then you will see that it is showing growth instead of decrease.

Looking back now I probably should have just focused more on Bitcoin as it has pumped a lot more then majority of altcoins I hold , particularly over the last 6 months.

There have been a couple however that have done over a 15x for me since the new year which has resulted in my portfolio currently being +121% overall.

I understand altcoins usually follow Bitcoin however when Bitcoin really starts pumping, a lot of altcoins will pump a lot faster so hopefully a few of mine will see good returns and that is when I plan to cash out.

Right now the value of Bitcoin has been somewhat stabilized around $70k so we need to wait for the period when Bitcoin's price surges and then after the surge the price will stabilize, that's the exact moment when Altcoins will start pumping as you will see most of the Altcoins going bonkers. You need to ensure you sell it at the peak else it will drop down real quick.

You are absolutely right, and your view point is spot on, while the current market appears steady and stable around $70,000, but we never know how it remains so as markets are volatile and unpredictable. What we need to do is to wait for the outcome of significant halving event which is approximately 10 days now, and its impact on Bitcoin because that factor will provide valuable insights into the potential direction of the broader cryptocurrencies markets.

You thought that altcoins bullish season will not manifest this season,  just relax your mind in your altcoins holding OP and you will definitely see mighty move of the market price of altcoins before the end of June and you will be happy of what you are going to embrace from your holding. You can see that Bitcoin is still increasing in the market despite the information that breaks out few days ago that the price will remain in $65,451 before the bearish season will flow to the market but the price has increased back to $71,102 again to make their investors to experience long bullish season. Don't let you plan be scatter than to continue holding the altcoins, because light will definitely come for those that are holding potential altcoins and they are very close to their break through if they can endure for the altcoins bullish market to roll over before they can start releasing their altcoins for sale.

You probably made a mistake by investing in altcoins so early, before an altcoin season can come to happen, we need for the bull run to reach almost its peak, an event that has not happened yet.

Now you may wonder why I think you made your move too fast, because it could take a year for that moment to come, and a lot can happen during that year, and the majority of the new coins that you bought could disappear during that time.

A few weeks to months after Bitcoin's price skyrocket is when the altcoin season starts. At least that's what's my prediction.
2 things will happen for sure though. Altcoin season will come during the bull market, and altcoins will skyrocket in price. The other one is that there will be some altcoins that might not even surpass its previous ATH for some reasons.

Right now, we aren't seeing that much pump on altcoins since we aren't still on the bull market but when it happens, most of the top altcoins will pump in price, and if you bought a few months before the bull run, you might double your money just by holding your altcoins. Not an assurance of course. I just don't know though when will be the time where altcoins will be performing better than Bitcoin.

For me, it would be better to just cash out your profits and wait for the bear market than putting all of it into Bitcoin once altcoin perform better than it. Well, at least that's my strategy.

It's really difficult to identify now as Bitcoin is still aiming for a new all-time high.
Unlike before, I remember my last altcoin season was bull run 2017-2018. The time when Bitcoin stopped pumping, that's the time altcoins took the opportunity and really profitable for altcoins.

But not seems, different already. The pumps on altcoins is lesser now.

It'll not happen now as we are getting closer to Bitcoin halving therefore Bitcoin will be getting all the investment while altcoin are getting ignored but altcoins season will come after Bitcoin get to a very high price. When Bitcoin has gotten its own bull market then it'll be the altcoins turn and many altcoins will do very well. If you're holding some good altcoin, I don't think you should sell them but keep holding until the altcoin season comes then you'll sell them for big profits.

But don't be 100% in altcoins instead put some money in stablecoin and Bitcoin. Put some money in stablecoin as the market might dump and when you don't have stablecoin you won't be able to buy some of the tokens that you're holding to increase your coins so you can make more profits when they start pumping. Put some money in Bitcoin so that when Bitcoin pump you can also make some profits.

Goodluck with your strategy, altcoins usually follow Bitcoin's price movement, so i think altcoin season should be when Bitcoin starts pumping very high, then some altcoins can start rising fast and very high too. Having said that, nothing is set in stone and things can happen differently, if i were you i would buy Bitcoin now, altcoins are too risky and waiting on profits from altcoins to put in Bitcoin is something that is unlikely to happen, because you might not make any profits from your altcoins.

The alt season should be the time of bitcoin also, I mean if it is bitcoin that will trigger the rise of other cryptocurrencies in the market. So maybe, it should come after halving and subsequent bull run taken place. They can’t be a time that altcoins will be on a steady rise without bitcoin first performing that move for them to follow suit. We should be expecting the alt season after bitcoin has gained full momentum and going all bullish without a break for retracement (bull seaosn). If you’re investing in altcoins in order to gather a lot of profits and put into bitcoin, I think it is not a nice idea to depend on that, it can probably fail.

I don't know if going 100% into altcoins is the right thing to do if you want to end up in bitcoin anyway.  Don't kid yourself amd think all altcoins outperform bitcoin during bull season.  I can show you tons of examples of coins that have actually dropped or stayed the same during bull runs.  And in a lot of cases coins do exactly what bitcoin does so why even risk it?

such a situation would probably be difficult to obtain nowadays. Seeing Bitcoin adoption will remain stronger and hoping to sell your Altcoins at a profit and move them to Bitcoin may be too late. you have to wait for the market momentum to get bad enough again to avoid the market crashing.
Altcoin season momentum will still require strength and encouragement from Bitcoin which is quite strong. if Bitcoin corrects it could make the Altcoin market conditions quite bad before the start of the pump season.

There is something you aren't getting correctly and not that altcoin are to perform better than bitcoin, no never.
What you should know is that most investors has moved their holding to bitcoin and there is no much trade between altcoin and bitcoin therefore, after bitcoin halving you see much investors trading their bitcoin to altcoin or trading their usdt to other altcoin other than bitcoin with this we can say there is much liquidity in altcoin hence, investors began to look for those coin that could give them 10x to 50x and above making any coin you find during bull run to always yielding profits but immediately after bull run some of those coin don't survive and some hardly make it up again to their previous standard.

Actually, that's a good idea since most likely altcoins will be getting more high increase but less secure in terms of investment because you cannot rely on their longevity and put some of your investment in bitcoins. At the same time, the price is high, and more profits when bitcoins will rise, that's a clever idea. Still, if you wanted to keep all the remaining altcoins at its original price. At the same time, it's hot and at its current ATH, you can just convert it to stablecoin first and wait for the right time to withdraw it or convert more to bitcoins to add more funds to it to further secure your earnings and capital.

Exactly because no altcoin can make any bull run without bitcoin being the major market leader,  only bitcoin have the ability to changes the face of the market and it will rob up on every other coins I the market,  altcoins may make some attempts but on the long run, the can't create any significant market sustainability to built up a bull market on their own.

But bitcoin has that chain control and that is why you always see strong altcoins like bitcoin and a few others following the bitcoin trends each time it happens.

Per observation that I've been through these days, I believed that alt season hasn't shown any remarkable performance. Bearish trend got worst everytime Bitcoin pumps tremendously and whales just remain focused with famous coins instead of altcoins that has no reliable value, particular with so called shitcoins that's struggling to enter and got listed with popular exchanges like binance or kucoin.

It probably start after the Bitcoin halving, and then we might see some small growth first on the top 10 altcoins. At least that's how it's been in the previous years. Altcoins like ETH and BNB or even ADA will grow.

And this will have a domino effect to the rest of the altcoins, I predict that in the last quarter of the year there will be major movements already. Maybe meme coins and what could be the hype in this bull run, AI related projects will start with a huge pump and dump happening like every week. We don't know what altcoins the OP is holding, but we just hope that it will be part of this huge run for this year.

So goodluck to you.

But who knows if this time, it's gonna be the alts first before Bitcoin goes up.

When Bitcoin rise, altcoins will follow after that and as you can see, the good altcoins pumps along with Bitcoin. You can start holding some good altcoins now while waiting for the next pump and this is a good opportunity to accumulate since the price is still not that high and we are still far from the target peak. Altcoins season can be big this time as we are targeting higher peak with Bitcoin, just don’t rush things and be more patient.

You said you are 100% into altcoins, which means you are already holding a lot of altcoins, and if that's the case, you should be on the lookout for the best price to take profit. Just act smart with the market volatility. So many altcoins usually gain a huge pump as the BTC price starts surging, while there are also some coins that still pump during a bearish movement of Bitcoin. If you must be a successful investor in the altcoin market, then you need to always be on alert because, as far as I know, altcoins can pump and dump suddenly when you just shift your attention off it for a long time. You can actually invest in Bitcoin and have a specific period or price that you want to sell, and if you are patiently holding your coin, you will make a profit during the bull market period, but for altcoins, they are quite unpredictable, not like Bitcoin.

Isn't it now entering bullish, meaning that the altcoin season has started? But indeed bitcoin has not dominated significant prices, there must be long sideways, so it is likely that altcoins will not move before bitcoin flies high.
You have a different strategy with you, where you choose altcoin with profits later will be diverted to bitcoin, if I myself choose bitcoin as a risk aversion when altcoin fails, I will not be rash despite having the skills to analyze several projects that I think are good, so far it will not take action where all assets are good.

The climate has changed drastically; as you can see, bitcoin touched new ATH, but altcoins still remain on the ground. There's something wrong is happening right now. It's caused by the ETH approval drives the trust to go to the bitcoin only. It drives altcoins so crazily.
I can only expect alt season to come next year. There is no sign of altcoin season happening this year.

I plan to hold all my altcoins till this alt season when alt coins are performing better than Bitcoin and then start putting profits into Bitcoin.
Then, be patient with your investment. It takes more time for you to get profit from altcoins but im guessing that if you are aiming to get maximum profit from your investment, right?
I have the same plan as you, but I'm still doing small trades to avoid missing an opportunity when it was dumped.

The climate has changed and you must be even more patience waiting for altcoins to eat bitcoin dominance.

Predicting the timing of next major bull season of altcoins is extremely difficult, as it depends on various factors such as overall economic condition, market sentiment and regulatory changes. However based on our experience and  historical  patterns, we can anticipate that altcoins uptrend might materialize when Bitcoin reaches its peak price, potential double or triple tops on weekly chart and subsequent decline in bitcoin dominance index.

Usually altcoin season occurs after bitcoin's dominance in the market decreases and many investors will switch to investing in altcoins, currently seems difficult to get lack bitcoin dominance on the market after price pump and dump faster to make investor easily earn much profit trough bitcoin than altcoin. First to get altcoin season need to see bitcoin break out to the higher price and make stable around few days later how to make investor prefer earn profit by investing in altcoin than bitcoin have stable price awhile.
Bitcoin price right now still not stable yet and many time pump or dump in short term, its benefit for investor take profit with faster bitcoin price movement and in the market bitcoin keep more dominance than altcoin. Need more patience waiting for altcoin season because lower price of bitcoin and easily for altcoin dropping when bitcoin get correction fewest percent only.

You are 100% in altcoins just like risking it, that's my own opinion but I think you have the expertise in finding profitable altcoins but I myself don't want to risk the portfolio all being in altcoins.

Wait you want a big altcoin season? Wait for bitcoin to $100K then the price of all altcoins will increase but this does not guarantee anything because I myself do not have much hope in altcoins even though I hold a little in my portfolio there are several altcoins, it's just that it's a well-known coin with a high marketcap.

I am currently 100% in altcoins and wondering when we can expect the next big alt season?

I plan to hold all my altcoins till this alt season when alt coins are performing better than Bitcoin and then start putting profits into Bitcoin.
I am not the o confident in altcoins but I have a few for just speculations and from what I have learnt for m history about altcoins season, or bull run is that, the market always followup with Bitcoin bull market also, so there is no special timing for altcoin bull run.

Although we have some special situations where a coin can decide to be a lone market breaker that marks it own bull run at anytime and different from Bitcoin or the general cryptocurrency market.

Altcoin follows the Bitcoin trend. As we are going to have a Bitcoin halving soon, we can expect at least 50% rise in price of Bitcoin next year. That may equal to x5 to x10 for some altcoins. For that we may need to wait over a year. Altcoins surely are the better option if you want large profits like the way Bitcoin achieved in the past, Bitcoin too can do a x2 or x3 but it would take time. In the same interval, some promising alts can do x20 or x30. Even a popular coin like Solana can easily do x10 to $2000 in next few years. That would not be possible with Bitcoin.
This will be my first halving experience and I've heard a lot of theories about how altcoins follows Bitcoin trend, so like the OP I'm looking forward to seeing it in practical, and from my research so far, I believe that after the halving when Bitcoin price is surging in the bull run, it's investors will also be happy to reinvest in altcoins to maximize the bull run ROI, and that's how altcoins bull run happens. I also believe that it's mainly top altcoins that will bull with Bitcoin in this season, because I doubt that many scam projects will make it to reach their potentials in the altcoins season.

it comes when least you expect. so if BTC halving is not immediately going to push the prices up, don't be surprised. but there must have been a lot of altcoin holders since the time BTC reached its ATH again. when they see BTC is the only one that goes that high while all the altcoins are still down the price during the bear season, it creates a big opportunity for altcoin investors.

As far history concerns it happen after the bitcoin halving. Just in my experience when it comes to event timeline, so we might see anothe push or trigger for the alt season after the halving but that isnt guaranteed since theres a lot of changes since then and maybe those might be a factor to some new challenges on crypto. Like the bitcoin etf which just happened now and some other crypto narrative. If theres an altcoin season will occur then likely it will happened if the market goes to that direction.

What do you expect? I mean it should be a bull run, then obviously you should be looking like almost all altcoins getting closer to their new all time high and then by next year they could established a new one. And if you are all in with altcoins, chances are you could be looking for a good margin of profit. I will not ask what altcoins are you holding, and it seems that you know what you are doing anyways. It's that we should all be waiting for Bitcoin's block halving and see it's impact on the altcoin market. And you don't need to wait further as the block halving is just days away, like 10 days from today. So for those altcoin holders, a little more patience is needed in this market before they start to move this year.

Big alt season usually occurs in the period that follows the rise in the price of Bitcoin and then there is relative stability in the price. The price would rise to 100k and then stabilize. Then there will be stronger flows of alt, especially Ethereum and some alt that may attract the attention of investors.
The current time is not ideal because the rise has already occurred and some are expecting a correction.
