before the sale will usually get big discounts and it was a great time but of course risks are also great. If you want to find a safe investment at ICO so that it's almost finished and with investors who have been many, with this then must select and analyze which one is best.

If you are sure that this ico project is good and want to invest in it I think it is advisable to buy the first installment because now the bonus will be huge and you will have more coins from the bounus.

The best time to invest in ICO is in sale time because at sale time everyone gets a huge discount which is best as compared to normal time to buy ICO. Sale time is best time for the investors to buy coins which ultimately helps the investors to achieve greater profits.

Choosing a good ICO is the best time!

An excellent ico project, it is very difficult to have the opportunity to let you participate, maybe the ico just started, sales has no quota!

If you get involved, you can make a lot of money!

I think that the best time to invest in an initial coin offering is right before the initial coin offering ends so that you have the complete information of the technology of the company and what the people think about it this gives you a chance to know the coin better than any of the other people in the market.

If I missed both the pre-sale and ICO, but they haven't listed on an exchange yet, is there anyway to buy the tokens? Also, is there a way to check the price or value without that exchange? TIA!
In this case, it is very advantageous to buy tokens as soon as they begin to trade on the exchange and after that fall in price. Sometimes in this case, tokens become cheaper tens of times compared to the price of ICO. This is a very convenient time for investment.

Have you tried contacting the team or voicing your concerns thru Telegram or something?  I remember sometimes they do give away special bonuses and /or discounts for those who contact them.

Is it during the launch of the token trading on an exchange after the ICO? For instance, by waiting for aftermarket trading to begin, you can remove the liquidity/exchange risk.
Do you agree?

I think the best time to buy tokens at the stage of pre-sale. Usually if the project is good, it grows on the stock exchange and you multiply your investment.

It's better if you invest now. You will earn much more if you're early in this industry.
Dont waste time deciding when to invest.
Approach someone so that you can have informations.
Projects in ico has time limit, it just lasts for weeks and it is better to join them early

The best time to invest in ICO's is in presale or private sale as you get bonus there. But do keep in mind that more bonus is not good for the project. Like 30 or 35 is good.

Yes that's a good advice because having pre-sale or private sale when you invest an ICO can possibly give you a good profit but sometimes we cannot accept the fact that it is closely to be at risk you just have to be more observant in such cases.

There is no specific time when it is better to invest money, you need to look for a decent project and not time
On the contrary, I would say that the bast time for taking part in ICO is at the beginning, right after initial announcements.
Very often ico's have gradual token price increase, meaning that closer the ico is to its ending, the price of a single token is bigger.
If anyone is willing to enter, than it is best to invest as early as possible (pre-sale).
That guaranties highest profits after the coin proves itself successful. The risks of early investment is however totally different story.

Moreover with the rising ETH prices, sometimes we do not want to be lock in for too long.. as the lost in ETH gains (after we invest into an ICO) can actually afford us more tokens if we are to buy at ICO.
Very important aspect indeed.  I would say that this is another gambling factor in ICO type investments.
Predictions for coins like eth are mostly a guessing game, if someone is taking active part in ico but with smaller amount of money than he is risking long-term lose with transaction costs.

We need to analyze the company, whether it will bring profit immediately, or only after six months. It is best to participate in the pre-sale! Then, even after the ICO, you can multiply the attachments.

I think time is not important, if you believe to team and project, you can buy from presale or  public sale, it is not important if you think this project will be good.

I don't think there's a best time, however, there is a nice project you should believe in. If you believe in the idea it shouldn't matter if it goes below ICO price when it hits the market or even x3. If you'll look at it from price point of view, even pre sale sometime not the best option as ETH or the market volatility can impact your buy price negatively.

The best time to invest in an ico, is when an ico declares and announce that they will release their crypto and if you have been searched and find the good and legitimate informations in that particular ico, by that time you can invest and for me just try in a little first and if that is truw and legit continue to invest

I usually invest token / coin when it's in the market. and so far have never bought tokens / coins when ICO. even when preICO. I find it very difficult to analyze tokens before they are in the market. although many people participated when the ICO.

Much better to invest with it in pre-sale because they bonuses and other privileges for it. Like this upcoming ICO which is called Daneel. If you are going to invest now you will get a 10% bonus in their coin and after this week you will get 5% bonus. The earlier you invest, the more bonuses you will get.

There are 2 ways of looking at things.

Pre-sale seems to be the best time to get into any ICO as it offers very good discounts but sometimes this can be a double edge sword.
If there is no lock-in for the pre-sale tokens, then the big whales who have bought in during pre-sales may dump their tokens once it is listed. Many big whales are not looking to make 10x on their millions.. they want to get in and out with a decent 20-30% gains and not be tied to a single token for long.

So the other perspective is that when you see ICO with deep pre-sale discounts, you must understand whether the investors are lock-in. If they are not, then the best time to buy would be once the tokens are listed.. as the dumps will usually drop the price of the tokens below ICO price.
I have noticed many times when I could have gotten double the tokens if I were to buy at listing versus ICO.

Moreover with the rising ETH prices, sometimes we do not want to be lock in for too long.. as the lost in ETH gains (after we invest into an ICO) can actually afford us more tokens if we are to buy at ICO.

just my view.

Of course, it's the pre-sale, the time when you get the largest amount of bonus, the best time to invest in an ICO you believe in. If you missed that, the second best is when the ICO completes and the coin hits the exchange, at that time you'll be able to get that token below ICO price without the long holding.

Pre sale is the great way to invest into ICO. There is a risk and but this is the way you can earn a good profit. If you do your own research before investing into ICO's you can reduce this risk and can earn a considerable profit from this. These days there is a good ICO called "Daneel" and i can recommend this project to invest. Daneel's ICO is already started and still you have a chance to join their general sale. Further they have reached their soft cap and more than 8M DAN tokens sold and still counting. Further ICO ends in 14 days and you can participate during this period with the bonus of 10%

I can not determine the best time for investment, it all depends on the circumstances and the ico. usually I do a full research and after that I just take the speculation.

I think when a ICO project in private sales stage, so this time is the most suitable for purchase, because this time without too much hype, and there are not many people pay attention to this project, you can get more favorable ratio, that means that the higher the likelihood of your profit.

there is no best time to determine investment in ico. you must follow the previous market pattern and the altcoin you saved first. I personally, always try to research every ico to let me know what ico is good to invest or ignore. yes, so I can not confirm the best time
Some  ICO's can still double your money in a short period of time (less than a month). There aren't many financial instruments that can give you those returns. Especially those with a solid community backing them.
Solid community gives a lot of support to the ico and that will be so helpful to help that ico to be listed on the big exchange site in the future. That's about giving hype to ico itself. But i can say to define hype of ico looks so difficult right now. But you are trut about that. Solid community is playing an important role in the result of ico itself.
When investing in a ICO, is supposed that many more people will want to interact with that company in the future. Which will drive up demand for the token, and thus, increase its value.

The best time to invest in ICO is during the pre-ico stage because you can purchase the token at the lowest price plus you might get another extra bonus tokens for being an early bird investor. but make sure the ICO that you are investing is trusted and always keep this in mind. During the Presale is when you will get the best price if it is a successful ICO. The crappy ones are cheapest when they start trading, you can buy them then but still no guarantee that an ICO that failed to keep investors interest will ever get it back.

I think if you have made research about the ICOs projects, the best time to invest into the ICOs projects is on the presale but if you invest for short time (trading token ERC20 on exchangers) , i agree with your method, that's best way to anticipating the risk losing the money due to investment in the ICOs. Although i don't do that due to usually i made investment in ICOs for middle term investment than short time investment.

If you found a great ICO,
i mean it needs your intuition before you choose a right ICO to invest.
Look at its whitepaper, team, developer, website, and all of information about that ICO.
If you invest when the ICO is still ongoing, and that ICO become huge and success, you can earn so much money from there. The thing is, it's quite hard to find the right ICO.

I think pre ICO is the right time if we want to invest in an ICO project. because at the time of pre ICO usually we will to get a bonus price so we will get a coin with a little cheaper and we will get more profit when the team has started running the roadmap that is planned after the ICO ..

The best time to invest in ICO when pre-sale starts because that time you can see the roadmap and its project owners and members behind the product together with the softcap and the initail cap you can determine how beautiful and big the project as a basis of investing ICO.

yes it can be done, but in any case investing on crypto will not always be the same. before, you should learn in advance about all matters concerning the ico you are researching. after that you can decide to do something. yes, that's my view

In my case, I should invest on ICOs and new Altcoins when they bumped into coinmarketcap.com because most of the time - price values are lower in the real world trades.
I only hit that buy button when it appears on top gainer so I should be able to get earnings out of new Altcoins.
I really don't want to risk my money on ICOs that takes too much time on sales, I rather jump right into coinmarketcap.com and see which New Altcoins are better to be invested.

In my personal experiences - I don't really into investing in ICOs because most of them failed, some of them are scam and fraud and today there are still many young investors were scammed by ICOs that are too good to be true.
For me, if I really like to invest on that ICO I would wait for it to bump coinmarketcap.com and observe the progress, if the price is performing well then I should hit that buy button.

As early as possible so that you can take advantage of the bonuses and other perks that they give to early supporters. It gives you a lot of advantages and profit when it comes out to exchanges. This is given that you have chosen carefully the ICO you are supporting. If you do not have the capacity to study o scrutinize an ICO,it is better to wait for the project to develop and then invest.

Of course, it's better to invest in ICO at the beginning, since at the start the tokens cost a penny, and by the end of ico the price grows, but when you invest in the midst of ico then it is easier to assess all the risks. Everyone chooses by himself, it all depends on the choice experience !

Token sale would be more profitable but if the ICO has failed you could lose a lot of money,i personally recommended most of the people to wait until an ICO has reached the soft cap because it only means people are interested on the project. If an ICO has reached the soft capt i will surely join because it has more chance to achieve success in its ICO sales, probably  sold out will happen when, the logic is the earlier you buy tokens the more risk you are taking but you will receive more profits if the ICO succeed.

The most appropriate time to invest in anything technology related is immediately after your due diligence unless while being diligent you discovered a strong reason to wait (known obstacles to be overcome etc). If there is anything that holds you back from investing after your due diligence you should keep a very close eye on whatever that was so you can act (or not) as quickly as possible when the appropriate time comes.

The hype around some ICO projects is very high, so it's good to determine such projects in advance and take part in ICO. Nowadays many projects make a whitelisting and KYC, which could be over in just a few minutes. So if you are not in the whitelist you won't be able to participate in ICO. As I saw before such projects made not less than x2-x5 after the listing.

The best time is absolutely at the earliest time you can - which would mean the pre-sale. Earliest means biggest bonuses, because you are taking a bigger risk as you don't know whether or not the coin will sell well.
A lot of projects have a descending scale of bonuses, with some offering a huge % bonus at pre-sale.

If I missed both the pre-sale and ICO, but they haven't listed on an exchange yet, is there anyway to buy the tokens? Also, is there a way to check the price or value without that exchange? TIA!

If it's not on an exchange, then it doesn't have a price, other than whatever the ICO price was.
The price on exchange or coinmarketcap is simply the current trading rate - the price can't change unless it is being traded.

If I missed both the pre-sale and ICO, but they haven't listed on an exchange yet, is there anyway to buy the tokens? Also, is there a way to check the price or value without that exchange? TIA!

Indeed, to buy coins during the pre-sale of ICO this is the most profitable.
But at the same time, this is a very big risk that the crowdsale may be a failure.
I usually fear very large discounts.

Is it during the launch of the token trading on an exchange after the ICO? For instance, by waiting for aftermarket trading to begin, you can remove the liquidity/exchange risk.
Do you agree?

Safest time to invest with these ICOs is when the project would have reached its softcap so you can be sure that the project will push thru, joining pre-sale has more risk than joining the main crowsale because if an ICO has reached atleast the soft cap it only means that the project has potentials to grow in the future.

While I do agree, if you think the project is worthwhile getting in 1st can be very profitable. That said, I would either get in 1st in crowd sale or pick up on exchanges. Getting involved in between there is tough and think it is a recipe for disaster in general.

For me the best thing to invest in ICO is when ethereum's price surged up so you can buy a lot of tokens from these pre-sale or crowdsales because if ethereum's price dropped the hardcap of these ICO projects would be bigger and viceversa. You just need to pick those good projects over these bunch of trashy projects so you can be sure that your investment wouldnt be wasted, because most of the ICOs today are created just to raise funds and then will run away from investors.

If you really believe in this project, then the best time for investing in ISO is pre-sale. It is in pre-sale you can get bonuses up to 50% !!! This is a big risk but also an opportunity to get an amazing profit ... Shocked
You are right we should dare to take risks when we find ico that interest to us because the opportunity will not twice, pre sale is the best way to get bomb of profit

Pre-sale is great if you really believe in the project and can get you big discounts. Generally the earlier you invest you can a better deal.

Investing right near the end of the ICO or after a few days can allow you to gauge how successful it will be and make better informed decisions.

Investing post ICO can reduce the risk of getting scammed and sometimes allow you to pick up cheaper coins, conversely you can miss the opportunity to profit as most of the best ICOs will trade at a premium when launching on an exchange compared to the ICO price.
