I think when we are not trading in alcoin depending on our trading strategy, it can also be seen from the market movements that are less profitable for investment

Are you talking about a more long wave analysis approach?

I'm looking at a combined strategy, spot trades and longer term investment... There is overlap, but doesn't feel like it on the day(trade)  Cheesy
Just use the short and long. I mean we know that all of the altcoin gets rekt this time due to the bearish and SEC news. But I just try to get a backup strategy for my investment.

Do you refer to the right time to not trade altcoin? Those traders just sit and wait for the best time to dump their investment. You can see in this time the market movement is really slow. Just buy on the dip like what was happening yesterday.

If you are interested in trading, I highly recommend @quickfingersluc on steemit https://steemit.com/@quickfingersluc

He is an experienced day trader that explains some easy strategies, and informs you on the tools you need, and practices to be safe with your money.

For long trades just don't buy on a pump. If you are really scared of missing out, check out lucs most recent video, near the end he talks about a good entry point into a coin going parabolic. Once the market has corrected a little then that is a good time to buy. Or if there is a coin you really want to get into, and it drops a lot for no apparent reason, that is a good time to buy! It seems counter intuitive, but when people panic sell, if it is a solid asset, this is the time to buy (because it will pop back up and you got it cheap).

Things are certainly volatile right now.

Found a good article on when to trade versus when not to trade on an exchange.

A cryptocurrency exchange may have many traders online, but that doesn't mean they're in a trading frenzy. An exchange may have few traders online, but that doesn't mean they're disinterested. What are trading bots up to right now? Are huge international finance houses sucking up altcoins for long term investment, or divesting themselves of low quality altcoins?
