was mining through a pool for the first week..went solo after i got to 1.2 ghash/s and found 50.05 btc in 6 hours..ill be switching back to a pool now after the next increase Wink

 I would say go solo when you think you can find a block or two in a week.  You'd need like 4-5G hashes to get a block a week on average with the current difficulty level...

When would you say is a good time to go solo.
Interested in hearing your stories of luck and misfortune, especially when compared to your estimates.
How do you feel given the current difficulty level and are you considering joining a pool in the future if difficulty levels continue to rise at a large %?
