If the reset here you mean is a decreased the price of Bitcoin, I suggest you check whether the candle is overbought or not yet, if so, then this could be an indication of a decline in price, at least that's a feel for your next step. There are several other indicators that indicate the price will go down, but I think it's useless because the price can move irregularly, so you can actually say it's just speculation except you have much experienced at this matter.

Not asking when it resets only God knows but when a reset has happened?

True, even an analytical expert will not dare to answer for sure when bitcoin resets.
One can usually only do analysis with chart data based on the coin's trades from the previous history and determine where to go next.
However, when the price is correcting no one can be sure it will happen even when the market is in a positive trend.
just to straighten out, it seems we are foreign to the word bitcoin reset,
but if you refer to that word for a low price to enter to make a profit when it is high we call it a correction price.

I'm learning how to trade crypto and I hear a lot say that it's best to invest in Coins when Bitcoin resets. So what are the signs that Bitcoin is resetting? Not asking when it resets only God knows but when a reset has happened?

So far we don't call it a bitcoin reset. but the price is experiencing a correction.
I think the word "bitcoin reset" confuses a lot of people. however, what you posted shows that it is bitcoin correction time.

That's right, it can be said that only God knows when it will happen, even analytical experts will not be able to answer it for sure.
In addition, in cryptocurrency there are many surprises, when we think it will go up, bad news is immediately reported in the media. vice versa, when the market looks to be going down and is getting ready to keep assets to stable coins the good news just comes.
But calm down, as long as you believe in the growth of the cryptocurrency what you invest here will produce a profit as well. we just need patience and good analysis.

to me what it means to be reset is when a correction occurs. and if we draw the Fibonacci line, then the best area to buy is between 50-61%, that is if we analyze it technically. and the prediction is not always correct, so we must dare to take risks and invest wisely, because we often hear the word panic sell in the crypto world, mostly from novice investors.
The real definition of reset is to go back to the start but that is unlikely in BTC. BTC cant just drop to zero and rise again to this point because not all people are going to sell but if let's say BTC drop to zero, I think that can cause a massive panic because BTC will be in the headlines of the news. Is the 50 to 61% refers to the drop?

But, that's a lot and that can take long to happen but those that looking for bargain can always wait for that. If there are people that are patient enough to hodl long, there must be people that can patiently wait for the best moment to buy.

@OP, when your trading, you don't really need to wait for the reset but you can still buy whenever there's any dip in the price.

We never know as it never exists, we only have corrections which we think is a good buying time for those who want to invest in Bitcoin. Having more time to monitor the market trend will eventually give you some help when to enter the market but just I've said, waiting for the moment it drops will likely be the best time to do it. And you can never think that this will take so long, that is why you should have not miss this chance either.

Even I myself just heard the word "bitcoin reset" from you.
but judging by what you mean maybe "when did the bitcoin price become the lowest price?" what that person said is true.
Only God knows. predicting bitcoin to a low point is completely impossible but at least we know when bitcoin correction or bitcoin will fly technically.

If your term of resetting means when it touchdown then no one or trader can be really so sure of when bitcoin reset. Just do your personal research before going in.

We've seen in January a reset to $33k, and then February at $35, (when Putin declare war), and now we have seen a massive growth, getting as high as $43.

So we really don't know what will be the next reset price, but obviously, the price we should be looking at is within the $30k level because that's the lowest low that we've gotten to for this year. We may have to wait and see if we are going to see lower than that, hopefully though, no $20k or below price.

I think what is meant by "reset bitcoin" is a correction or a bear market occurs.
Actually I just heard about bitcoin reset. however, i see what they say reset it is bitcoin is correction, and that's when we can best invest because when correction we will get discount from the actual bitcoin price.
The correction is indeed eagerly awaited by most investors so that they can enter with their large funds that is where we will get high profits when the market recovers.

What do you mean by reset? You mean after a correction? Correction might happen after sudden price drop or sudden price rise. No one knows when that is going to happen. The market is unpredictable. Stop looking for "signs", "perfect moment", "rest" or other craps. As long as you can afford to invest and lose your investment, put all your money in bitcoin, hold, sit back, relax and watch your profits grow in the long term.

It's already happened. The fact the last dump on bitcoin has been showing us the lowest level that can be achieved by bitcoin and yeah we have been starting to go up again. There will be no reset again if bitcoin has been showing the bullish patter. The last reset has become the main time to buy or accumulate more and more tokens from the market. im sure that you know this so well if you have been in the crypto market since a last year. Bitcoin has not yet recovered again but once it will be going it and then it will become the main point. Look at this time bitcoin is increasing a lot despite the war that happened.
Im sure that we will be going to moon soon.

Whenever there is good growth, further there'll be price correction. This is how the market have moved over the years. As OP said when this correction happens can be known only by the God.

Most of the time when the price reaches ath, traders will be observing close about the market resistance. Slowly if the market isn't able to breach barriers there'll be downward movement. This mostly serves to be a correction. Sometimes this lasts long and sometimes ends with small fluctuation. So, it is upto our learning to predict the market correction.

Reset means something return to its primary position! I guess, you are probably asking about correction, as you already said, it’s only god knows. After heavily pump of a coin, whale sells their share for profit and then market get down even some big influencer could do that by spreading fud and thats called correction period. but its hard to know cause after btc cross double of its price of 40k$ from 20k$, it suppose to be correction but correction start after 62k$ around. If you study about fundamental and technical analysis of a coin, You'll understand.

Unfortunately, we have no idea what the OP meant by reset here because he has not visited the forum after posting this thread. But more than likely, he is indeed referring to correction because we are not using the term reset here. Maybe, he read it outside the forum and some noncrypto users will use the term not popular among crypto users. And regarding correction, nobody knows when will this happen. Even long timers here or legendary can't give you such defined answer about this.

I don't think there's a word reset that is used in bitcoim or even in blockchain. As what you are trying to ask is I think it's about the bitcoin's price back to it's price (current year) after increasing or decreasing of bitcoin's price but to tell you honestly, there is no exact price of bitcoin but a current price only. As you have known, cryptocurrency is not stable if you are asking about its value. If you have done some research like current price is at $50k and it decrease then you can say that bitcoin had reset and it's time to invest if your analysis shows that it will increase soon.

If what you meant about the bearish trend and this time is coming right now. You can just invest your money during the bearish market. Bitcoin is resetting again but this word looks so weird for me. lol.
Bitcoin is showing a big dump due to the uncertainty in the global market caused by various problems that happened right now started with the news from US and problem between russia and ukraine.
The god knows what you have been saying above and he gives you another chance to face bitcoin reset again. Im also glad to see that happens and i can buy at the bottom again.

In order to receive good advice you need to use terminology that we can understand, I have never heard anyone ever say something like that, maybe what you mean is that it is necessary to invest in in bitcoin when it has reached the bottom? However if that is the case then I am sorry to tell you but there is no sure way to know where the bottom really is, this is something that can only be known after the fact, which means that at some point you need to take the risk and buy it when the price is low, knowing that the price could still go down even further after you buy.

I think you’re talking about corrections? Well if you look at its price, the moment it dumps that could be the start of the corrections or a reset on its price before it rise again. Bitcoin has been on the up and down trend since then, but if you look at a larger picture, in the past years Bitcoin is doing great and we are really aiming and heading to the top.

From a technical standpoint, it could be tied to a serious security hole that compromises bitcoin's integrity, causing users to lose faith in bitcoin as a secure alternative payment mechanism. Or perhaps it has something to do with more improved science/mathematics, rendering cryptography skewed which I think is very unlikely because many of bitcoin developer are constantly improving it.

It could also be a huge global war that has a detrimental impact on the economy and so much more. The point is that it's still a multibillion-dollar question that none of us can answer, especially now that bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general are so vast that they have significant applications in today's world. Not only that, many institutions have adopted bitcoin to the point where they are now purchasing it in large quantities.
Considering that we are in a blockchain world and we could always trust the blockchain that we are using or another blockchain to continue, the person who hacks into blockchain due to some flaw could continue down with that blockchain that everyone will ignore and we would move to another one.

You think it is impossible? Look at simply just bitcoin, we have legacy, we have segwit, we have bech32 type thing now, we have lightning network and these are all in bitcoin. Do not even get me started on altcoins, they have so much more. Obviously there will be small caps that get some hackers attention and eventually will not even be defender, but that is for small cap alts, not for bitcoin.

Please correct me if i have misunderstood you post, are you trying to say how to know when the Bitcoin goes through correction phase and ready for rise or the moment just before it starts pumping up after a dump or bear market? If that's what you are trying to know then no one in this forum can predict it accurately but whenever there is a dump and bitcoin starts recovering then you can consider that as the entry zone but need to learn about bull trap because sometimes you will find momentum but it will be short lived and your money will be struck.

If you meant something else with the term reset then please let elaborate

I'm not really sure what you mean by bitcoin resetting, maybe when it is on a bear market? Definitely all the signs are already here from the last all time high of $60++k last November, and then we go down to $32k++ last January. Now the price seems to be settling down to $40k'ish. If you are going to be a long term holder, then it's better to buy altcoins that is in the top 10, like ETH, BNB, DOT and others and then wait for the price to go up in the next couple of years.

Until now I can't figure out what is meant by bitcoin reset according to the version you ask, because so far it seems that no one has been able to do anything about bitcoin because it is a characteristic that bitcoin has to not be intervened by anyone.

but maybe the price will return according to what you want, of course there can be changes if many institutions or large companies simultaneously make one move, it can be ascertained that there will be price changes because they have high enough funds and bitcoins so that it can affect the price .

the principle is to buy when you feel the price is worth buying and sell when the price you think is quite profitable for you.
I am also confused on what do you mean by reset here so i come up with this from my research. The bitcoin price has soared around 250% since October. Moving past the pandemic, the World Economic Forum (WEF) has come up with a plan called “The Great Reset”. Basically, it means a complete transformation of the global economy. ... The WEF see it as an opportunity for recovery. https://www.finyear.com/The-Great-Reset-and-Bitcoin_a43630.html

What they may mean is probably the bottom of the price because every time there is a dip or correction like we always say, there will be a price where we can say it's the bottom. RSI always is a good indicator for identifying the bottom which is the price touches 30, it becomes oversold, and that means the price already is very close to the bottom.

Sample of it in the weekly chart using the default RSI. The circled points aren't really the bottom but it acted as a bottom because it bounced from there and very close to 30 line.

I don't quite understand what you mean by reset. Are you talking about its total depreciation or the price it will drop during the bear period? If you're talking about the complete devaluation, I don't think there will be such a situation. Because bitcoin will never fall into such a situation in my opinion. But if you are talking about the bear season, it is not possible for us at least to know such a thing. If we know such a situation, we will not try to make money, we will win. It would be nice if you explain.

Everyone has asked the meaning of the term reset. It's a very valid question. Because it's a vague term. If you are asking about the day when the big market breakouts happened; You can track positive divergences in the rsi indicator (https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/markets/technical-classroom-positive-rsi-divergence-in-rec-suggests-buying-4318441.html). If you are asking about the complete disappearance of Bitcoin; nothing like this will happen! Don't wait! There is no "square triangle" :)

Bitcoin has no reset and bitcoin is only having a dump or correction. This can occur anytime and none knows accurately about when bitcoin dump will happen. The only god knows that  Cheesy
you can predict at least about when it will come through use various strategy and TA like using RSI and many more. This will help you to predict the direction of bitcoin and whole of crypto market since all of altcoins are following bitcoin and it can be seen through doing a prediction use technical analysis combined with the fundamental analysis. I know this any prediction created by human will always have a chance to be wrong but at least you have tried that. So we have passed bitcoin reset and it may not come again soon.

Welcome to the Bitcoin forum! May I ask what do you mean by reset or you mean pull back? I think @BitcoinEthan was referring to a pull back or probably a correction where is the best time to invest. It's good that you are curious about it and we are here to give our insight but that does mean that we are right since we have different opinions and perspective, personally I use stochastic RSI to determine if the Bitcoin is overbought or oversold but you can use other indicators as well this is a advance topic I think you should stick first to the basics and master it first.

Anyway feel free to ask, there's nothing wrong about it we are here to give our thoughts.

Sure, there would be a price drop in bitcoin! However, a reset or large price crash, in my opinion, is quite unlikely because there are several factors to consider before you can be certain that a great crypto reset is on the horizon.

It's really hard to understand but i guess you meant about bearish market or something like making bitcoin goes to the bottom and then after you have bought it and the price of bitcoin will be going up again. Bitcoin reset is unpredictable. You need to ask the whale about when they will be dumping their bitcoin to the market and this will make bitcoin to be reset again from the bottom.
Remember that bitcoin reset will not always become the best time to invest and why? The reset can go even deeper. You will be trapped and then you will not able to leave from the market. It will not always be profitable. It's hard to know where is the bottom.

When you see the double or multiple bottom or top in a long time frame not 1HR timeframe or below. This is a common sign that Bitcoin already reset or simply the reversal of the trend. There's always a retest on resistance and support at that time but it usually be broken on a couple of days to continue the trend. You are right that altcoin make a move after the BTC finish it's own phase of the trend. Trader usually miss this and only look on shorter time frame chart which result to incorrect technical analysis.

You have added a new difficulty to understanding what you are trying to achieve by adding the word "reset" which you need to define first.
Generally we will assume that you are trying to gain more bitcoin when the price is fluctuating so the stablecoin pair, BTC/ETH will be ideal for this.

Note that investing in altcoins is profitable in the short term but bitcoin performs better in the long term, and buying those currencies means that you lose more bitcoin in the long term.

You must also remember that achieving profit and loss is also linked to taxes, and the method of calculating them may seem different from one country to another.

It is not recommended for beginners to trade today because basically market movements are very volatile in the short term so there are no definite signs that can show that prices will soon go down or up, so we need sufficient knowledge about analyzing market movements for us before making trading in order to minimize losses.
For beginners, I think it's better to invest long term because in the long term we just have to wait for the Dip to make a purchase and then release it again when the price has gone up past the buy price.

Reset of what? There's no reset for bitcoin, the price, the economy, the supply, and everything that it has won't come into a reset. The person who told you about bitcoin to have a reset is probably still lacked a lot of things about his knowledge of bitcoin.
Maybe the reset that you're talking about is the dip or correction that happens usually and the sign of it happening is when the price of bitcoin plummets.

First time I heard the term "reset" when refferring to crypto, I was more aware of the term in computers. Cheesy But anyway I understood the gist of it.

What you are referring to is drop in price of bitcoin. This is specific to bitcoin trading and it cannot be predicted from beforehand, just like any speculative market. You can place orders and leave it there, it it execute when the price gets reached. But searching for specific signs for the price to fall is a wrong way to approach it. Someone might say that using technical analysis and checking volume changes they can predict this, but I highly doubt that. Being an overbought market usually gives a sign that the market might drop, but it is not 100% and it cannot say the specific time when it will happen.

If you see the current trend, market is trading sideways/in stagnancy for a few days after the rise to 44-45k USD. From here, both up and down is possible. So I place orders on both sides and see how it unfolds.

I hope this was what you were asking about. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask. Smiley

Can you tell me what meant of reset from what you have said above? did you mean when bitcoin gets dumped to the bottom and you call this a reset for the bitcoin? Have you ever heard this? buy at the dip and then sell at the top. I think this is the best advice that must be taken by anyone. The bear market will be giving you more opportunity to buy more and more bitcoin at the bottom price.

So what are the signs that Bitcoin is resetting? Not asking when it resets only God knows but when a reset has happened?
There's no exact date about bitcoin reset. If you have bought some good tokens during the bitcoin dump and you must be a lucky guy as you have made a lot of money as a return from your bitcoin. I think that you have been missing what you call that a bitcoin reset. bitcoin is slowly recovering again and buy now or regret it later.  Cheesy do your own research. Im feeling confused about what you meant about to reset.
