Untill i see giant nets above our heads protecting us from falling drones i will not think that it's going to work.
Although if the drone falls and doesn't kill you, you might end up with a free gpu or something  Tongue
Might as well try shooting down a drone or two.  Cheesy

They have to get approval first, and I can't see how it'd be cheaper for them to use 'em rather than just sticking with conventional delivery methods. It's obvious people will steal/damage/break/troll them. Plus there'll probably be lawsuits when they start crashing into houses or dropping packages onto peoples' heads etc. They also just leave your package in the garden. Seems destined to fail if you ask me.

I dunno, those drones seem like an ok idea but unusable in the real world. At least at this moment.

I can make very good business shotting those drones down...

This. I would order stuff, wait for it to be delivered, then try either capture them or smash 'em to bits with a baseball bat.

They will probably fly high enough it will be hard to get one unless you actually go into somebodies yard and try to steal it. Probably not the smartest crime to commit.

Going on private property stealing a drone that is recording your face and sending it to police.

They fly down and drop the package on your lawn. Watch the video. They're not huge military drones dropping packages as bombs. And I would be wearing this:

The biggest problem for these drones is that in any area where there are a lot of people to service in a 10 mile radius its impractical. Anywhere that dense most people won't have a nice doorstep for you to drop the package on.

This actually makes more sense for pizza. Doesn't even need to be practical. Try competing against a company that delivers via drones.

Well , it will be easy for the people leaving highest in a tower block.
Delivery by the window.
I remember the 9/11 jokes "right at your office" .

And Amazon currently can't deliver via Drones although it probably has the technology and everything necessary to because of US laws prohibiting it to.

I saw the Drones video, and I believe these devices are not safe enought to fly over our heads freely yet. Seems more like free Amazon TV time than anything usefull

You can convert BTCs into an Amazon giftcard and deposit the balance into your Amazon account through Gyft.com.

I think it's just a matter of time.
