Huh I knew that Segwit2x has stopped. Could you give me links or websites prove that it will continue?

I dont think there is link or proof right now other than it was postponed and not canceled. Canceled would imply that it wont happen at all but postponed implies not yet we will do this once we get things figured out. Look for

it to occur sometime next year because I doubt they get everything in place together prior to the year being up here.

Their are some romurs that Segwit was postponed and now hardfork is continued,,,

When will be the hardfork?
It's hard to tell when it's going to go on, if there's a big enough crowd to call people then hardfork is going to happen.

Agreed, what would it take for someone to execute the hard fork on their own?

There is going to be a new fork on december, i saw that it was going to be on the second week of december because it can not be after christmas, because people would be much more focused on their families and most of them would not be aware of the price, and all the situation about bitcoin.
The bitcoin silver fork is going to be a shitty one, but at least it is going to hive some free tokens to a lot of people, maybe it is good for some people, but not for me because i am tired of those useless forks.

Certainly hard fork will be executed soon. The speed of Bitcoin is too slow now. $700 million is delayed. The developers have to solve now

When will be the hardfork?

From what I've heard, the "big players" that were behind the segwit2x fork gave up the idea and are not planning in do it in a near future. They said they would only propose it again if the community was in favor of the fork, since they don't want to create an altcoin, they just want to upgrade BTC and keep the community united. I also heard the rumors you've mentioned, but If it happens, it wont be done by any "relevant" people in the community.

We should have bitcoin silver in December though, but I haven't heard any more new about that either.

Yes, SegwitX2 was cancelled that's why some hodlers did sold their bitcoins in exchange to Bitcoin cash.  Some said that there would be another Hard fork incomming also known as Bitcoin Silver (something like that). Still, even tho 50 Hard forks would happend it would just fail and fail.

as far as i know it has been cancelled and i dont think it will happen anytime soon in this year because the developers thought there is a less amount of support and people sre taking these for granted. im not happy because this time i wont be able to get any free money

It's still postponed indefinitely as far as I know. There haven't been any recent developments.

If anything regarding it were to be officially announced, you can expect the news to blow up. It doesn't have community support and is likely to face just as big of a backlash as it did. Personally, I don't think it's going to happen anymore. It has already been branded a failure, and it would make more sense to pursue different projects - hopefully not another coup attempt.

I understand the politics and community support weren't there to make it happen in that regard, but as far as technically speaking what would it take for some rogue miner to create a 2x block? Isn't the software already in place on most nodes? I am not technically savvy when it comes to mining, so I'm just trying to understand if it is impossible or not. 13 of the last 100 blocks had 2X signaling, so assumedly someone out there is thinking about it.

I didn't heard any upcoming hard fork and if ever there will be I'm sure there would be announcement coming from different wallet because they will be the first to be affected by this fork but I think segwit will work for it fork soon and that the postponement will not take too long maybe after they settle some issues Segwit2x will be introduce in the market through hard fork that can happen in 2018.

I posted this in another forum, but I am curious to your thoughts here:

What will happen ~40hrs from now when we hit block 494784?

http://www.cryptodaily.net/segwit2x-activation-countdown-timer/

All it would take is 1 person to decide to mine a 2x block for the hard fork to occur, correct? The Segwit2x software has already been installed on nodes, and blocks are still signaling for 2x... So is it crazy to buy a few of these B2X futures at low prices to see what might happen?
