Does anyone think that at some point a bitcoin will return to $ 3000?

I am optimistic And I still think prices will falls  to 2000usd soon . Because for a long time we did not see a correction and SegWit2x near maybe 16 november  and we will have a bearish effect as SegWit has a bullish effect

price bitcoin  will fall as much as the height

We dont know when the bitcoin price back at 3000 dollars. Because as of now the price of bitcoin is already 7000 dollars and we dont know when the price of bitcoin will continue to increase or it will decrease. But for sure the price of bitcoin possible to decrease because fork is near but if that happen for sure it will recover fastly because many people buy bitcoin.

No, I believe that only a big disaster in the bitcoin ecosystem could lead us at such a low price, practically 40% of the current price. Throughout this year we saw three major corrections that meant a drop in the price of 40%, but even if this case occurs again, the lowest price we would see would be around $ 4,500.

No I don't think so because that's very far from the value of bitcoin today the during last hard fork I remember from $4000 bitcoin only drop at $3000 so if same thing will apply this upcoming hard fork maybe the price of bitcoin will range to $5000-$6000 that' the lowest price for me bitcoin will ever hit just in case it crash again.

Bitcoin is now way to high to come back to 3000$. What is a strengh of Bitcoin is that as soon as the price stays at some point for some time, everyone thinks it is its new right price, and a host of people will buy as soon as it drops, making it basically crash-proof, in some measure.

Probably never, or at least not in a faaaar future (talking about 10s of years). More and more people are getting to know bitcoin and all it's advantages. That is why we see such a raise in it's value. It's nearly impossible for everyone to start accepting 3000$ price. I hope it will dump to 5k soon. It will be good time to add-buy to my portfolio.

Maybe never.

But if it did return to $3,000, would you be a buyer? Would you buy in on a 50% drop? Where does your conviction to this thing end? Everyone has his/her price.

I remember on our way up in the summer a long time Bitcointalk member started a thread to say he sold almost everything at about $2500. He was thrilled. He kept a small amount in a wallet but it sounded like he had 1000s of coins he sold at that price. He was talking about paying off the house and his kids debt and stuff.

I think back about that guy and how we're 3x that price now (nearly). And in only a few months. That guy would have had life changing wealth right now, but everyone has their price. It's funny, I haven't seen him around here much in the last few months...I wonder why?

Why would you think of that thing? We should be glad that it is as this expensive. The profit will also be big for its userw and especially investors of Bitcoin. If yoy are saying this because you want to buy during the dumps, right now is also a good time to buy even if its value is over 7400$ since it is still continuous to increase and kno2ing that there'll be a segwit2x, its succession will also make it more expensive and investing into Bitcoin at this moment, wipl yield to huge profit.

Well such a decline to $3000 may take a longer time to happen, and not just time but a serious event that will affect bitcoin negatively will be the only condition for bitcoin value to return to $3000. So far, a strong support has been form already, and it will take a serious ban by strong government of the world and huge investors to pull out before bitcoin will be able to return back to $3000. Whoever invest in bitcoin when its value was above $3000 will not pray for such a decline to happen.

Only in your dreams.

Funny thing is that even if it drops all the way back to these levels, people will then lack the guts to buy at that point, and thus will miss out big time. In easy terms, people desperately waiting for the market to drop are just empty talkers. People have had enough buying opportunities at far lower than current levels, but somehow they always seem to mess up things and not end up buying. These people don't understand Bitcoin's potential, that's for sure -- if they did, they wouldn't be in a position where they wait for the market to drop. It's that simple.

A few things has to happen.

- People realize BTC's flaws - slow and high tx fees. Like it makes headlines news.
- USD to alt gateways. Make alt coins easier to buy with USD. I wouldn't even be buying btc to buy alts if this were the case.
- Adoption of other cryptos.
- Some major FUD that will cause a great crash equivalent or greater than China bans.

All these combined then maybe.

First off, good points. It is true that those reasons may affect and decrease bitcoin value. However, I think the most imminent contributor of its price drop is the upcoming fork. However, based on previous trends although it may drop down its value, it would claw its way back. Hopefully, it will not fall so low for our good.

It's impossible. If you are waiting for the price to drop to 3000 dollar, don't wait anymore and buy bitcoin as much as you can afford.
In recent months we've always seen that any time the price dropped a little, it rose again due to high demand. This process will continue.

Maybe this case can be happened but not right now Smiley). I think you should wait 30 - 50 more years to see this case happen cause when the total supply amount of Bitcoin still available and people are going to use Bitcoin more and more day by day I think the price of Bitcoin will not stop increasing Smiley. Maybe after the upcoming hardfork on this month Bitcoin price will get over 10k$ before the end of this year Cheesy

Hahaha. Never. Sorry that you dumped @ 3000$.
3000$ dip didn't even last 1 hour. and it was FUD. It bounced back to 3500$ and that was months ago. It's almost impossible for people to let bitcoin go that low.

No. I don't think it will. Last time bitcoin hit it's low around $3000 and from there we basically went straight to $7000. So no, in the case if we were to have a very big crash again (probably somewhere before or after the 2x fork), I don't think we will see $3000 again. But in the end we still have to take in mind that this is cryptocurrency so basically anything can happen.
why we discussing about bitcoin declined price. not need to worry.
even anything can happen, but very little chance of this happening, say after fork happens panic sell mass, will the price drop drastically to $ 3,000? oh course not.
if this happens, the decline will occur to the level of $ 6,000 only.

It's not going to happen dude. It's over 50% of the Bitcoin's value. The only way to see Bitcoin back to $3000 is while you're dreaming.
Up to 30% it is, of course, possible but over half the value there is no way. You are asking too much.

no one will think bitcoin will fall back to $ 3000 as you do, the more bitcoin days will soar to the moon.

It difficult to say, But according to some well known analysts that Bitcoin will reach $10k in the end of this year (2017). But if it drops to $3000 is also not strange.
not strange? so do you think and according to experts, there will be a possibility of bitcoin down to $ 3000? I do not think it's possible. I do not know why experts can say that, do you know? can you tell me?

Well, according to some well-known analysts that I watch on the tradingview, they expect a bitcoin to fall, but it's not going to get as much as $ 3000 as you think, and if the bitcoin goes down, it's probably $ 5500. What is not possible bitcoin prices have increased to more than 700% this year, it drops to 3000% is also not strange
