It largely depends at what value you bought bitcoin or how much profit you want. If I have Bitcoin bought at 10k then it's ideal time to sell my holdings and enjoy vacations around the world. Best is to exit at decent profit. Remember haste makes waste.

You mean when will i buy fiat money?

I try to accumulate it when it hits the bottom and everyone holding fiat is scared and want to move to cryptos. I see that happening this year.

when will i sell it?
of course when the target I planned has been achieved.
Buying at a very low price and targeting a high price will pay off quite a bit.
making bitcoin purchases on a weekly basis is a good strategy.
Buying bitcoins to hold and set aside for the future is a good holding strategy. We don't know the price of bitcoin will hit the new ATH again or not, but before that happened I already had a bitcoin reserve that I bought at a low price.

We buy bitcoin because we want to earn money, right. But most of us are hodlers, when will you sell it?

Going to sell us I need money. As you know, we buy bitcoin to earn money. If it can, and we need time to sell I'm sure when we sell there are others happy to buy it even though we will miss the moment if bitcoin flies. Therefore if you are whales, then sell this bitcoin slowly, because it is very valuable for the future.

We buy bitcoin not because of only hodling for it to earn money.
Some have different reasons, one falls for using it to pay, another is for storing for its value and the last is both of two sides.
I do the both sides of the coin, but when I get asked when I will sell my coin. I always say anytime soon, but I won't go all-out in my coins.

To me selling at $100,000 will be great. Though, it depends on how much/rate you bought yours. Those that bought at $10,000 - $30,000 can sell anywhere they like for now.

We buy bitcoin because we want to earn money, right. But most of us are hodlers, when will you sell it?
Pretty simple for me. When I need money. My thought is quite different from others because price doesn't matter for me when I need money. Because I use Bitcoin for my daily needs, although I can't spend Bitcoin directly but I can cash out it. Holding is better, but there should a target when will you sell. There should be a price zone where you want to sell. If you are a trader then it's a difficult subject. But sometimes holding would lead you to lose if you can't take a real-time decision.

Anyway, try to use the search button before creating such threads. Because there are many similar threads where you would find your answer.

Having that future views will keep you holding your assets.

It's nice to have that goal as it will prevent you in losing such great opportunities, if you do believe that in the long run Bitcoin will provide the dream house that you are aiming, better to keep everything safe and if possible invest more for the best benefits that you'll got.

Not selling mine until I can afford to buy a house with my holdings, thats my dream actually. Definitely Bitcoin is worth holding, now that institutions are starting to accumulate it will be more valuable in the near future. It will be a waste of opportunity if I sell it too early.

I would only sell if I really needed money for the day to day, or to reinvest in a decline, but the price still has a long way to go.

Most of the holders have the same mindsets as yours they are been force to sell their coins once emergency cases happened

leaving them no choice.

I don't hodl much right now and don't intend to do it. I'm just selling when I need cash, no matter what the price is.
This is what I also experience right now, I don't have a lot of bitcoins at the moment, because i need cash for real life. One of my friends shared a picture how he can buy luxury items from hodl bitcoin, but I don't feel jealous because of that. Because our life needs are different. In the future, of course I want to have BTC savings that I might be able to give to pay for my children's schooling in the future or something else.
One of Warren Buffett’s most famous pieces of investing advice is devilishly simple. Before you put your money into that company you had your eye on, take out a note pad, preferably yellow, and write down the reasons for investing in it.When I bought Bitcoin in December 2017 it was priced at about $25,000 and climbing. But no sooner had I pressed “buy” on my crypto app than it crashed. People laughed; so did I. After all, I’d had a nagging feeling that all it would take to plummet was for another mug like me to buy in.

Hodlers sell their Bitcoin at the moment when they need cash. This Hodlers decide on whether selling their Bitcoin is profitable for them and at the same time, they are thinking of using it as something to buy for themselves. They also think of ways on how to gain more money by the profit they have gained when they saw an open opportunity to gain more Cryptocurrencies.

As for myself, I need to stop cashing out my Cryptocurrencies to buy extra food because I recently saw that I have wasted enough money for them and I believe that focusing on what's important is also good if you want to gain more money.

You know Bitcoin price is now so much volatile. Bitcoin is one of the most potential coin in the present time. I bought some Bitcoin when its price was under 20k. I will selling my Bitcoin when its price cross $100k. Then my target will fulfill and i can start up a little Business.

I don't hodl much right now and don't intend to do it. I'm just selling when I need cash, no matter what the price is. I wish at some point I wouldn't have to sell it because it would be possible to spend it directly on food and other things which are bought regularly, but for now I do what I must and sell from time to time. As for hodlers, I think it's very important to have a selling point in mind because otherwise you can hodl it for all your life without enjoying the wealth that you've accumulated. Many have $100k in mind, as I see in this thread, but I think that it should also be about Bitcoin reaching a certain price after a certain amount of time. What if it doesn't reach $100k for 5 years, 10 years, 25 years? Does it really make sense to keep hodling if the price is already pretty good? Or if it reaches $100k in a month, would you actually sell everything as you intended or would you feel inclined to set another price?

If you ask about when I sell my bitcoin, I will sell it at the peak price. Maybe it could be at $65k, $75k, or even more than $100k. But so far, I do not just sell at the highest price because I am trying to buying bitcoin at a low price and sell it at a high price and I do not just sell it at once price. I am sure every people will have their own target price to sell, and I think they will not tell the public about the price. Some people will use the time to sell their bitcoin. For example, they will sell in the next 5 years or 10 years later, while they want to accumulate more bitcoin.

Good question mate. For me, if I have given the chance to have Bitcoins I think I will only sell what I needed for the daily lives not "wants" but only "needs" aside from that I will be hodling what's left until the day of giving it or passing it to our love ones in time we get old.

when will you sell it?

some of us are still holding out and will not let go of bitcoin, even if there is a chance for correction, we will continue to increase the number of bitcoins we have in the portfolio. We never worry if finances are stored in bitcoin, let it accumulate over the years and we are happy with this method. given the scarcity that keeps us aggressive and will not sell it this year.

We buy bitcoin because we want to earn money, right. But most of us are hodlers, when will you sell it?

I felt sad when I recall those days I got bitcoin in my wallet, that time while it was so cheap. An amount of 0.1 btc was too easy for me to dump just for fiat to earn instant money, because those days I really needed to earn much money for living. Without any knowledge that bitcoin will become tremendously high and could reach $50k higher. Everything I owned from the past has gone, sold for particular purpose.

I usually sell my bitcoin in the market condition like this. When the price rise and I can get enough profit then I sell it. I don't want to make my greed make me loose chance to get profit. Some trader miss the right timing so they get less profit or even suffer financial loss. I am a cryptocurrencies holder but didn't only hold it but sell and buy it again in the right time, I always do my best to avoid loss. Although sometimes my decision is not 100% correct but atleast I still can get profit.

This is practically the hardest question any hodler would have to answer when he bought the bitcoins to hodl. There is always the tendency for the price of bitcoin to increase in price and this is what makes it difficult because a hodler would think, why should sell now when I can make more money by hodling a bit longer and you realize the perfect moment never comes.
Personally, since I treat hodling bitcoin as an investment, I use two withdrawal methods.
Firstly, I sell after a specific period of time only when I'm in profits.  Secondly, I sell my coins when I need cash to cater for some bills especially emergencies.

I'll sell if I think that I have to. But like the others, I might sell some when bitcoin goes $100,000. I've done a lot of mistakes selling at a low price which I've thought of as a good price and became little when bitcoin reached newer high prices.

Will sell in mid-2022. I hope that by the middle of 2022, Bitcoin will exceed 250,000 dollars. It has come up through the research of many. It is best to hold till 2022.
I hope that you have a good prediction but most likely with many predictions that I've seen, 2022 is likely to be the start of the bear market. But there's no assurance until we see it happen. Just crossing our fingers that we're going to have a good following months and years.

We have our standard before we sell bitcoin, on my part, I will sell my bitcoin when the earnings that I can have reached my standard value or the earnings that I am expecting. There is no specific value that we could say to you to sell your bitcoin because it is up to you if you already want to do so so set your value price before selling it.

As bitcoin will continue to rise, and now moves up and back from correction and sideaway, so there is no word to sell at the moment.
So just leave it until the price  peaks and  after that I'll sell and buy back when it corrects. Right  now  I'm  happy  to  do  short-term
trading for bitcoin, because this has added to the amount of satoshi I have now.

Bitcoin prices is any time to change. Before buy and sell the coin check the coin price day by day. Then time to invest and sell the coin. Follow the coin price in the marketplace price. Then plan to workouts it. Bitcoin is future currency. So hold the long time.  Before price down. Sell the Bitcoin. Bitcoin is good opportunity for the future growth. So don't lose the Bitcoin.

All of us have our own target prices or time .

 1.)

Example I set my Holding until The price reached 100,000$

 2.)

I will set specific time when to sell out for about 5 years from now.

Everyone of us has their own perspective and believe and also strategy , what is the most important part is the way we trust Bitcoin and the time we Hold this for future.

No, I use bitcoin, because it provides me financial freedom. It doesn't bother me that it's been widely accepted in the last year, since it makes me richer, but I mainly use it because it's granting me freedom and it's interesting.  Smiley

We buy bitcoin because we want to earn money, right. But most of us are hodlers, when will you sell it?
I am a hodler, I don't hide it. I think that after the next bull run, around 2025, bitcoin may have reached half million dollars which will make a lot of hodlers retard from the game. Whether it'll reach $1M or $1000, I'll only sell if I ever need to. If you don't need money, there's no reason to sell. It's my opinion.

Do we all buy bitcoins to make money?
Yes, at some point, we have to think of making money, that's why we invested on bitcoin. But there could be others who uses it as some form of currency.

This is a mistake. I know people who have bought bitcoin as a backbone for the future, and not even one percent are thinking of making money from it.
The best time to sell is when the market is not in the hands of the whales, and in order to recognize this time, it is enough to monitor the chart for a week!
My suggestion: Never sell all your bitcoins even if they reach the highest price.

Whales will always be in the space no matter what, bearish/bullish, boom/bust this is how the market works. The best time to sell is that if you really have the need for fiat money. Someone mentions he will sell to put up his own business, others maybe thinking of buying a piece of land, etc. My point is, everyone will have a reason to sell and it's not that bad.

Probably I won't sell any more until the next cycle and if I do it will be like 10% of my stash or so. I don't own a lot, so I think it is better to keep accumulating and see how things go. The most likely scenario for this cycle is that the ATH will be higher than $100k. For next cycle it won't be surprising to see the price between $500k and $1M.
That takes a lot of patience, I mean 3 years is a long time and hopefully you can get a lot of cash out of the bitcoin that you are going to save. Maybe if you can, try to do some kind of investment with your bitcoin instead of just hodling it so as to create an interest overtime, you are hodling and at the same time you are earning something from your investment, I plan to this but currently, I don't have that much bitcoin so I will just have to wait.

It depends on everyone's purpose because not all that acquiring Bitcoin is for holding purposes, let us be true to ourselves and dont make a bluff in order to please other people dont be afraid if they call you one of the weak hands after all it's your own money, not theirs. By the way, my opinion is if I bought a Bitcoin at a lower price I would sell it today, for a higher profit because that was my purpose when I was bought bitcoin in the first place to gain a profit and not to lose. the perfect time to sell is when you got already your ideal profit range or target. and dont worry you can buy Bitcoin again in a dip.

We buy bitcoin because we want to earn money, right. But most of us are hodlers, when will you sell it?

I think everyone has its own threshold before they can sell their stash, maybe once we see bitcoin goes into 6 digits, this year, who knows. I myself has a goal too this year, however, if you think about it, bitcoin is getting harder to acquire, specially that institutions and big companies are buying millions and billions worth of BTC. Pushing the demand very high, and we all know that if supply outstrips demand, then the price could really soar by X folds.

Maybe it's better for us to save at least 1 BTC and then see how it goes.

We buy Bitcoin for the future, and we HODL.

I bought my first Bitcoin back in January 2017, I sold a small amount in December 2017
but since then I've been stacking Satoshi's for the future. I've been signature campaigning,
completing surveys for Bitcoin rewards, squirreling away portions of my weekly wage, selling
unwanted items for cash to funnel into Bitcoin and I've taken a bank loan to buy Bitcoin and
Ethereum which is now paid back in full.

I have worked hard to accumulate and HODL while neglecting repairs and upgrades which
need to be carried out on my property so I will be selling some Bitcoin and Ethereum at $100kBTC
and again at $200kBTC while still HODLing the vast majority of Bitcoin.

This bull run has enabled me to multiply what I would have spent normally so soon I will withdraw
that amount and will essentially keep HODLing the profit.

Maybe I will sell my bitcoin when I have enough to make a capital to make a small business and at the same time some investments. I don't have a lot of bitcoin that I hodl yet so I think that I will have to wait for a long time before I can sell my bitcoin without hesitation. I think that it is a good thing too because I can see that the prices are going to go up and I have the freedom when is the right price to sell.
