thank you i'm taking another look at etherdelta, the interface is chunky.

The interface leaves much to be desired, but the primary functionality -- fully decentralized orderbook/exchange on the blockchain -- works great. I take advantage of the low liquidity that everyone complains about by leaving low bids and high asks on the book. They often get filled, at least partially, at considerably better price than more liquid exchanges.

I can also rest easy at night knowing that my funds are safe and can be retrieved from the smart contract into my public address anytime I want. They are making a good deal in fees, so hopefully they improve the UI a bit, though. It's definitely not noob-proof.... I'll say that much.

Like everyone says, EtherDelta is your first choice to go. But that is the risk you take when investing or buying in all these altcoins and tokens. They are very simple to create but extremely difficult to find on a major exchange with liquidity. Be sure when you invest you also look into how they will be listed or you will face a tough time getting people to buy them off you. This is also why bounties in huge stakes of tokens are practically worthless, no matter how much the price they claim it will be. No buyers= no price. Few buyers = thin orderbooks that will drop the price so quickly.

Apart of Etherdelta, any ERC20-tokens may be - dependable on the ICO - launched on HitBTC during ICO which is doing presale and after the ICO, the normal trading and deposits/withdrawals will be open.

The main exchange for ECR-20 tokens is etherdelta. Many tokens are given by airdrops. The value received can be less than cost of exchange so perhaps volume is down because there is no profit in exchanging.
