I've been following the cryto scene for a while now (not as long as some but I learn quick) and generally look into almost every coin released. I try to pay close attention to patterns and what I mostly see are manipulation attempts and BS.
I think we can all agree that the altcoin scene is flooded with scam coins and for the most part a large majority of code-copies that attempt to create as murky a understanding of their coins purpose as possible to keep most people involved long enough for whales to manipulate the markets and drive momentum through FOMO.
I'm not here asking so much about which coins are genuine in their endeavors. I am more so wondering what majority of this community genuinely cares about the real potential of blockchain?
In terms of what "real potential" means at the moment I am not entirely sure but from what I can see I'd say 90% of these altcoins have no purpose at all and it seems like a huge waste of this amazing technology.
Do people in crypto REALLY care about decentralization and moving away from the 1%-ers of the world controlling things or is this all about "lambos"?!
Just venting here ... but really...where is the cutting edge stuff??
