I am looking to buy 50 bitcoins below market value. Does any know if this is possible and can give me some direction as to where to go please?

I hope you have seen eventually because its either going to be that you are scammed, or you are looking to scam someone. Instead of looking to buy below  market value, the market itself has created an avenue for one to buy more even at low price with the various price volatility that is being witnessed in the last couple of days which I feel any serious individual should have taken advantage of.

For Op and any other person looking to buy below market value, just have it at the back of your mind that to make that possible, someone somewhere, is getting robbed of that coins.

50 BTC is a LOT!

You will have to find very trusted escrow service because even escrow services can run away with your money and 50 BTC can be enough amount for some escrow services to end their services and to run away.

Pay more attention on feedback from trusted members and you will need strict due diligence.

Anyway... Good luck!

I would hit localbitcoins and paxful. If you have enough Bitcoin in the balance there, then you can advertise and make public trades that meet your requirements. It sounds odd, but you would first have to buy something like half a Bitcoin and leave that in there as guaranteed escrow, you can take it out any time. Otherwise, you can still use the offers on there and over time make it happen. Either way, that is the best place for the cut rate trades and it is going to take some time.

Traders should be avail for the amount for the op expecting right. I don't any one from localbitcoins can provide the amount of transaction around 50 btc in one shot. Henceforth he could make the purchase with the multiple traders to get the bitcoins to his wallet. Personally I suggest to try in his city with the local traders or he could make try here anyone with the proper escrow.

people keep on saying localbitcoins, but there is law enforcement on that site as well looking at the transaction volume daily for local meets that lead to an arrest.

considering to the factor of money laundering obviously and other laws broken within it.

They should be sold at market value. Not too much above or below. Why would someone sell below value? Doesn't make any sense.

you have to find someone who is willing to sell his coins to you below the market value. probably someone who is desperate for the money and without any way of selling his coins otherwise.

in other words you have to look off-the-market.
for example if you have a localbitcoins account you can place some orders there. you can also place your offer on this forum in currency exchange board.

but don't get your hopes up. it is rare occasion.

ps. if you found some website promising to sell bitcoin at lower price, RUN AWAY it is  scam with the chance of 99.99%.
This is true on which the best possible place to look out for cheaper coins would be on localbitcoin but it is really a rare case depending on the seller if hes really urgently need of money which he decides up to sell his bitcoin on lower price for faster transactions. The price differences wont really be that big that you do expect for and as being said if the offer are too low or too good to be true then it is really a scam because no one would able to sell out very low compared into its current price in the market.Who dumb person would able to do such thing selling out his coins too low which he can actually sell it on its recent price.

You could just break up the buying into pieces and purchase over time. If that really is not an option, I guess you could purchase using altcoins on a couple of exchange sites as well. I think with the volume that you need, it would be best to split the amount across multiple different exchange services and route them all to the same wallet. This would allow you to get all of your coins in the same place.

OP could just use his/her brain to ask locally who would be willing to sell oneselfBTC with a lower price, however that is not the case you could buy a dirty BTC that could get you involve in things that oneself didn't understand Good luck op.  Wink

I do not think people would be ready to sell under the market value to any unknown person, Instead they can easily sell on exchanges or local bitcoin and get the higher price than selling to OP.

Also as you require 50 btc  which is too much I do not know anybody will be willing to sell to one person that much. Hope you get it from somebody at lesser price if possible.

I am looking to buy 50 bitcoins below market value. Does any know if this is possible and can give me some direction as to where to go please?

You can't find this type of offer here or with any exchange. They are always preferring to depend on the current price of bitcoin but if there is someone that is willing to do trade with you and will you a discount for it then that's very possible. But this is a very risky trade as only people in the dark market will take the deal and it's very difficult to have a successful trade because you might get scammed.

Check in localbitcoins. Every transactions will be escrowed by the automated escrow manager. Henceforth all your transactions will be secured with in the site.
If you have fear check with the multiple traders available with the decent value and high trust. You can split and buy with the multiple peoples in the forum.
But I doubt it that there will be people that are willing to sell their bitcoins below the market value, the price now is at $4,300 and everyone is expecting it to pump some more. And if I'm a seller I'll do no charity on this, we all want to make good profit and why I would sell him cheaper bitcoin as I can sell it directly to a local or foreign exchange safe and sound without any hassle.

If, you are serious about this, i'll suggest you post your "WTB" on this forum.

It's easier to buy below current market value here than localbitcoins. In this forum your privacy is respected.

However, i suggest that you should be careful, use middle man (escrow system) if, possible. Avoid dealing in person when purchasing more than 2 bitcoin.

Thanks

There are a lot of scammers right now and chances are that you are going to encounter one because of the volume of bitcoin that are going to buy. Better split in into 4 parts so that at least you have a leverage in case something goes wrong with one of the transactions. If I were you I will just go to a exchanges to get buy that big amount instead of looking for a discount or below market price that might turn out to be a scammed. If you really look for a discounted price, just tell the exchanges and let them know that you are willing to purchase 50 BTC and asked if is possible to have at below market price. Maybe one of them will give you what you are asking for. Goodluck.

I can recommend platform such as Luno. Sometimes the price are way cheaper compare to the current exchange at times, as well as their fees are very low. I've used it and its very easy to understand for beginners!

You also can buy tainted bitcoin (comes from darkweb/illegal usage), but i don't see people sell these coins these days and obviously it's very risky. Find people who don't bother to use exchange also an option, but it's not easy to find this kind of people.
Tainted bitcoin availability might be found, but the same seems to be highly risk involved. At present people or any of the traders won't sell bitcoin below the market value. Maybe the users who are into plans of ending up bitcoin usage could sell it for lesser value than the market.

Thank you all for your answers. Very informative and highly appreciated. Everything you have said has been taken onboard. Thank you again.

There's an argument for saying that one would have to pay more (above market) for 50 BTC in one shot...  A sort-of relevant example is that HUGE gold buyers (say, 50 tonnes and up -- that's millions of dollars) reportedly have to pay a BIG premium for real-live physical gold.

How many have 50 BTC?  Not a whole hell of a lot of people.  And almost all of them are likely to HODL even longer, and make the really big gains...

I would not recommend buying $200 000 worth of bitcoins on Localbitcoin, if you do not have a trust relationship with the

person you are buying from or if you are going to trade in a secure location. {preferably in a area where there are CCTV or

with a group of people at your side as backup} ....We do some pretty big deals at our local Bitcoin meetups, but then we

built a trust relationship with the people we are trading with. {you see them every week and you know where they live and

who their families are}  Wink

It is hard to find someone to sell you 50bitcoin even at the same price with the market. You are not going to find such a big amount below market value. There are a lot of peoples who sell their bitcoin with 5% or 10% below market price but hey sell only small amounts , I think maximum 1 bitcoin if they need urgent money.
Be careful at website that promise you to offer bitcoin at a low price because most of them are scam. There is no profit in it so it means they give free bitcoins( wich seems ridiculous).

You can try to make contact on localbitcoins.com and negotiate to buy at undervaluated price.

Localbitcoins usually sell at a Premium to the exchanges, because they experience the risk of people swindling them (doing chargebacks once they've received coins and whatnot).

The only people selling at a discount would be miners who don't have access to an exchange - so perhaps Veneuelan miners or perhaps Chinese miners after 30th September.

Well in the market you wont find anyone selling it for lower than the value, because every holder knows that BTC have a lot of potential, and will grow high after some years. As the other users said, maybe talking with people in localbitcoins, other exchangers you might find out some sellers who might sell them at a lower price, because they are in need for mother.

what I see to do that and avoid from any scammers out there is to buy it at trusted exchanges, Bitcoin is very volatile, you can wait for a price Dips that would make like " below market value" then buy.

I think it not very easy, why not people having such a mount of BTC to sell them on an exchange. But if the holder is in a country that BTC trade is completely forbidden, he may sell them to you.

It will give hard time finding one. Who wants to sell their bitcoin in a lower value than the maket price? You can try localbitcoins.com and try to find one. But be careful of scammers because there's so many scammers there. I suggest visit all exchanges and compare bitcoin price on each exchanges. If you see a cheaper one, then buy some. I think that is way more safer than buying cheap bitcoin to unknown and not reputable individuals. I consider that as a shady business because as i said, who wants to sell their bitcoin for a lower price? Lower than the market price. Better use exchanges since the volume you want to buy is no joke.

From what i've seen on local bitcoisn the prices are usually above. Anyone selling 50 BTC below market value would seem suspect to me.  Whats stopping them from deposit 50 btc into exchange and cashing out.  Its not like 50 btc will crash market.
