There are numerous sites. I assume you're looking to buy in the UK. If that's the case then I recommend using localbitcoins. Some trading partners require identity verification but other don't. You can also find listings for cash in person trades if you prefer.
Alternatively you can use bittylicious but they will ask you for an identity check which usually gets processed within a day or so. Note that they may limit your buying amounts for the first few trades though...

I want to buy over £1000 of Bitcoin. I signed up to Coinbase last week, verified my identity, added my debit card but i'm limited to only buying £50 worth of Bitcoin a week. Can anyone recommend any other service with low fees?

Have you already tried local exchanges? If yes then localbitcoins will be the best for you.

AFAIK you will have higher limits on coinbase as time goes by, not really sure about it but i heard it from someone months ago

You all ain't got a rep on this forum, so dat's out.

I thought Coinbase could verify you so's you could buy more than what you said.  I don' know 'bout these exchanges, man.  Some 'o them be buggin'.  Like y'all wouldn't want to buy on Yobit or some o' them Chinese exchanges.  As my man say, Bitstamp?  Or y'all could do a deal here, maybe, if'n y'all use escrow.  It's possible.

Have you try localbitcoin yet ? It is a great marketplace for those who want to buy Bitcoin. There are many trusted sellers charging only a small fee per transaction. Otherwise, you can access the currency exchange in our forum. It is also a good place but beware of scammers. Never make a deal without escrow

Have you tried to buy on localbitcoins? It not you should check that website, otherwise there are some recommandation here https://www.bitcoin.com/buy-bitcoin
There are some restristion for some countries so better check first if your country is accepted there and check then for the fees and other things.
