The price will vary depending on the exchange you are looking at. As long as you are looking at the price at one of the major exchanges, then it should be pretty close to what the demand is at that time.

if you using bitcoin USD pair i recomended to use coindesk rate, it's more accurate than preev, im use it for make speculation buy at some exchanger

using any third party site will add a delay in receiving the updated price, and since OP is (was) looking for an instant and also "accurate" price coindesk is not good because they tell the average price on their rates. the only way for him is to watch the exchange itself or use their API.

i think you should follow the officiall wallet of bitcoin that is blockchain.info . but here you need small calculation work to find the rate of 1 btc by knowning the amount of btc in your wallet .
since there is also a better site to convert all these type of digital currency in into other currency coinmill.com

I really like coindesk, I think it is overlooked by many.  But give it a look at: http://www.coindesk.com/price/

With it you can pick between like 5 or so different exchanges, or their own BPI.  But I think it is big as you can select the exchange you use as all exchanges will vary on price some ... so most accurate is kinda hard to say I think unless you specify exchange.   Also I love it goes down to 1 hour you can watch current trends or go out much larger on timeframe.   So give it a try.

I would agree bitwisdom is also great they are king in my eye's as far as ROI calculator.  They have one of the best and most comprehensive there is there.  And it's pretty good on using to guess next bitcoin difficulty change with current data.

Yes bitcoinwisdom is in my eyes one of the best websites if you want to follow the price really close. Live charts automatically updated all the time.

As has been conversed above, the differing Bitcoin markets are not only geographically fed but also economically in that not only in the BTC price volatile is by nature but is influenced by the above factors also.

It is Difficult to Give you any suggestions about Bitcoin Price Because Now All Websites are Providing a Different Bitcoin price. I personally Using Preev.com to Follow the Bitcoin Price....

yeah right each exchanger is indeed the price is different, because each person making the order price is different. But the average price of bitcoin are the same and different even if it is only a little difference. Thank you

HODLing is an art, not just a word...
I heard you can also get a market update on coinmarketcap.

yes but there is a big delay because coinmarketcap does not provide you with live price but instead they update it with a big interval of couple of minutes.

and i think OP is looking for more live price, which i think the best option is checking the exchanges themselves because any other service may have some delays too.

It is like every website got a different price. I guess it will be about the refreshing of that certain website and other got late. I see Yobit got a really high price. Why is that?  Shocked

low volume BTC market. no liquidy leads to high price you see there ;/  i wouldn't bother trading BTC there personally ;p
yobit's just kinda a penny-stock (altcoin) place ;p

I always check the price of bitcoin on my local bitcoin market, because i can easily check the price from many sites, like bitstamp and on china market too. It is vip.bitcoin.co.id.

haha yeah me too, I also use this local exchanger from Indonesia. Fairly easy to trading there, because we can see the updated price of some of the bitcoin market. You might also want to try it, because there is also the English language, and also provided some altcoin Smiley

Hey everyone. I'm new in this forum and also in BTC.
I've been trading in bitfinex.com (BTC/USD) for one week and I follow BTC/USD price instantly in this website; http://preev.com/btc/usd

I've realized something that everyone in bitfinex.com change prices instantly and all together. So obviously, they follow BTC's price from somewhere and decide instantly.

My question is that what website do they consider about BTC's price?

Thanks in advance for your help.

you should probably look into charts if you wanna get serious about following the price.
I use tradingview with about 3 o 4 charts from different exchanges open. you'll get a little obsessed though. for some reason watching those charts all day becomes addictive Smiley

I think this site is great for analyzing the movement of bitcoin plus many indicators that we can use, such as metatrader Smiley and sites like this are needed because some of the exchanger only provide charts with limited tools. thanks for sharing dude.

np Wink  it requires corporate affiliation to login for hardcore analytics but us peons can still use it in "observer mode"  ;p

The value of bitcoins are very unsteady. Every hour and every minute bitcoin value changes so its very difficult to determine when its gonna rise its price. If you are trying to sell your bitcoin i guess this is the time cause its currently at a high price. If you are going to keep your bitcoin until it rises, i guess it takes a lot of time to rise its price.
