Elliott waves are not easy to be interpreted. Professional traders also find it difficult and they combine other indicators with it to trade so you have to be careful.

Elliott waves are looking like this

i want to start learning about elliott waves , were is the best source to study it ?

Trading book could help you learn different ways and every pattern has several options to gain full knowledge towards it. Though there's a huge risk behind I think when you successfully mastered every steps in trading guides, minimal loss will tend to exist. In my small group together with a friend who's also a trader, he'd able to guide me and I also did to read books that he provided as part of learning process.

If you like Elliot's theory, it is beautiful, but if you want to apply it to trading it is a good time for it, but if you want to do it, learn and do not delve too much for now,
To be sincere, I haven't seen any testimonies from using Elliot Waves method in winning trades, I quitely know it helpful for some professional traders to perform advance one but haven't seen their testimonies on how it greatly works, another advance one is Fibonacci principle which is also complex to understand. I just hope op can have a personal tutor about this theory.

Well, you will perhaps learn more about Elliott Wave theory if you have your own research on google. That is a very common strategy used by some traders. They believe in that theory and perhaps it will work because until now, there is someone seeking information with this story.
[ https://elliottwave-forecast.com/elliott-wave-theory/ ], these are the rules and guidelines for the basic structures of this.
All suggestions above are right, just follow their knowledgeable path way in trading and you were there.

I mainly like to use Elliot when Bitcoin is trending.

Start learning Elliot Waves with some trading background knowledge or just straight trade with Elliot Wave theory?

We would all suggest you do basics of trading first. Elliot Waves is often thought and could be beneficial once you already know how to read charts from various trading views and timeframes. And jumping onto knowing it would just make you assume that most trading movement would be like Elliot Waves. But if you already have intermediate knowledge with trading and the market, I would suggest this YT video[1] I watched the time I want to study and comprehend everything about Elliot Waves. Yet, if you are still starting to know everything about trading, I suggest you go start watching videos of C0TT0NC4NDYTA[2] from his first videos upto the latest, as he teaches in-depth knowledge with regards to trading.

do not need to rush, you can start with simple things, by studying various types of strategies and knowing some indicators in advance. Next, identify the price movements according to the timeframe that you are going to trade with. because basically you will be faced with a different situation. So to get to grips with Elliott's wave theory, you need to go through several procedures. do and learn as best you can, because I'm sure if you already understand the basic things above then gradually you will understand it yourself.  Wink

Start with some old/classic books on trading like:

Trading for a Living by Alexander Elder (Amazon)
&
Trading in the Zone by Mark Douglas (Amazon)
&
Elliott Waves Made Simple by Steve Sinclair  (Amazon)

to get the Theory 101 (incl. the  Elliott Wave).

Then open a few demo accounts and continue learning through observation and experiments.

All you need is patience and proper bankroll management.

This is the first time you trade? Your first time to learn about trading? If yes, I can say it is much better to study first some basics, like support and resistance, the candlesticks patterns. I am not saying Elliot wave theory is bad, I saw a lot of traders using it. But for me, it is kinda advance, so learning first the basics or core of trading, it may help you to understand Elliot wave theory easily.
